Ibrox Stadium is a football stadium on the south side of the River Clyde in the Ibrox district of Glasgow. The home of Rangers F.C., Ibrox is the third largest football stadium in Scotland, with an all-seated capacity of 50,817.

Classic staircases may have to go for more seating.... shame if so but a cracking stadium. The stone front is such a classic symbol and really very special. 👌🏼

Fact: The modern Ibrox design was based upon Borussia Dortmund's stadium when it was rebuilt after the Ibrox disaster in which tragically 66 people lost their lives.

Ibrox now holds about 50k. It used to hold about 118k (record attendance).
I know Rangers were forced to do it.
But its impossible to see how this is "evolution".
Same argument for other clubs.

I particularly like the corrugated and stained plastic for the side panels of the shoebox stands and the plastic bingo-hall feeling of the new superstore, together with the 1980s multistory carpark feeling. The workhouse redbrick finish completes the outside visage. While the cut-up, ploughed field of play wallows in its own mud. A truly historic stadium in its apparent decay.
