A little more research would reveal that the architect who designed Ibrox, Archibald Leitch also designed or improved parts of just about every famous grounds in England and Scotland, Arsenal’s Highbury and Hampden park to name just a few.
Yes should be mentioned. Designed the first stadium that collapsed but went back to design the second stadium. Was a Rangers fan himself and made Ibrox more elaborate than it needed to be. As you say, had a hand in designing nearly all famous grounds in Britain incl. Highbury, WHL, Craven cottage, Goodison, Celtic Park, Hampden, Tynecastle, Villa’s Trinity Rd end, OT, Twickenham, Stamford Br, Hillsborough and more... Ibrox is his best work I think and an absolutely tremendous stadium. Good video

you could add that he designed the grandstand which collapsed but was not responsible for it because the construction company chose to use a cheaper type of wood instead of the one recommended by Leitch. the cheap wood was not strong enough for the weight of the audience.

Agreed, this was a big missed opportunity. If sticking to just 10 facts, could and should have been much more detail for each.
I think Celtic Park looks better on the inside and from the pitch but Ibrox facade/outside is beautiful with all the brick.

Sorry but Ibrox should be named as the stadium of sorrow for the amount of poor football fans who lost their lives inside the stadium, two major disasters and other incidents where fans lost their lives , in the second major disaster in 1971 rangers were found culpable for the death's of 66 football fans who went to a football match and never came home.
@daz374 this is a subject that rangers fans won't discuss , rangers were found culpable for the disaster on stairway 13 , other fans lost their lives on the very same staircase prior to that terrible day when 66 poor souls lost their lives , rangers also argued over the the amount of compensation to the victims families and actually tried to get the compensation paid out of money that had been raised for the disaster by the public , now that was disgusting , rangers fans love to get at Celtic over child abuse but like to keep their own skeletons under lock and key and that includes the accusations of abuse of youth players at Ibrox by rangers coaches .

@daz374 I would call parkhead Celtic park , Celtic may or may not be legally responsible for the victims of historical abuse at celtic boys club by those b-------torbett and cairney but I believe that they should do something for the victims, this evil has happened at many clubs including your own club , Thompson's lawyers are handling cases for the alleged victims of historical abuse at Scottish football clubs and all will be revealed in the fullness of time , unfortunately for the victims that will or could take years to go through the courts before justice is done , why are you deflecting from the issue of rangers being culpable for the death's of football fans who went to a game and never came home , I was at the game when the poor 66 rangers fans tragically lost their lives but no rangers fans will discuss the part their club played in that terrible day, but many thousands of them continue to attack Celtic over child abuse claims , other clubs like Chelsea, Manchester city and many others have also been involved in this evil but rangers fans never mention them , they also won't discuss the allegations of abuse of young players at their own club which have been slowly but surely disclosed in the last few years.
@daz374 that is a myth that Celtic re-employed torbett as he was never a Celtic employee , someone at Celtic boys club certainly brought torbett back on board after jock stein left Celtic , jock had kicked torbett out of the boys club in 1974? After hearing a rumour concerning torbett , big jock was honoury president of Celtic boys club and he done what he thought was right at the time , remember he acted on a rumour but the police won't act on a rumour , especially in those days and still won't today , also jock left Celtic in 1978 but torbett wasn't brought to justice until 1998 which was over 20+ years since jock had booted him out of the boys club and jock was long dead and that is why it is so sad that the rangers fans sully his name in the way that they do as he done what he had to in different times almost 50 years ago, who Celtic actually employed is going to be crucial in these cases but I hope that all the victims at all the clubs find peace.
@daz374 seriously how do you know that , as I said jock acted on a rumour but it was 24 years later before torbett was charged and jailed , just think about that 24 years , as I said police don't act on rumours , why did the family or friends of the youth or youths not contact the police? Because then something might have been done about that b-------torbett , I realise it was different times and a lot of this would have been kept quiet and dealt with by the families themselves if possible and know why ? Because of shame sadly, these c---- like torbett etc must have been devious b------- to get away with what they done for so long , this evil has happing in many many places over many years and it is only in the last few years that historical child abuse has come to people's attention , this is a good thing and this abuse has to be outed at all levels of society.

Celtic park is built on the site of a 19th century piggery hence the name. Nothing to do with the smell. That’s down to the supporters who all received a letter in 2015 from Celtic asking them to wash beforehand.

@@garymackenzie2378 uefa also say that theRangers are the same club even though the old club died in 2012. Although the facade of ibrox is listed it still doesn't take away from the fact that ibrox, as a whole is basically falling apart and in need of serious investment. As for the surrounding area outside, it's disgusting.
