We will also be comparing it to the original Tom Ford Ombré Leather to see how different it really is. What are your thoughts on Tom Ford fragrances in general? People always think parfum means darker but actually it means it's less volatile as not only is it higher oil but lower ethanol. This means that the heavier molecules (usually non synthetic) are going to stay closer to skin and thus can smell less intense although they are usually much longer lasting. Intense versions of perfumes are often reformulated to amp up the quintessence of the fragrance.
I went to Ultra beauty earlier tonight and tested everything they had. Walked out with ombre leather (edp), which I never even smelled before tonight.
Got the big bottle.
Gave myself a spray as I fired up the car.
Drove home saying "Damn.............Damn..........Damn.......
It was THAT good.
...and then came the honeymoon.

I totally disagree. I feel the parfum version is more unisex and the original edp is leaning more masculine.
100% agree! The EDT is definitely more masculine! The way she describes the EDP sounds unisex..

I just sprayed it on my arm today and I absolutely love it. I wasn’t too sure about the original with the more gritty leather and the sweetness but the new perfume is definitely going to be a purchase for me
Absolutely loved this review! I’m glad you enjoyed it! I have the 10ml travel sized atomizer on its way! Ombré Leather is an outstanding fragrance! Very glad Tom Ford brought this one into the signature line. This is the fragrance that started the new line per se.
I like Anthony, he’s a natural at this. I love Hombre Leather but tend to only wear Leather scents with a leather jacket so my bottle of OL will last me my lifetime. My second fave leather is Baccio Immortale by Argos. Really digging the Siren and today I’ll have Zaharoffs Rose in my box. My first Rose scent. And as for Andrea, I absolutely crush on you. Sure your beautiful but your playful personality is so fun to be around even if I’m just watching. Thanks for this review and hope you are both blessed.

I chose the Eau de perfume ( the OG) it’s absolutely stunning .. I find it more floral with a true leather scent

Hmmm. Sounds like I'll stick with my Edp. I love the smooth boldness of the black leather and how it transitions into that creamy-like sweetness. Nice review.

Now you got me interested, haven't had a chance to smell either, but I have highest respect for TF, some of my favorite in my collection are Bois Marocain and Tuscan Leather. I dig sweet and leather as I'm a fan of the 1974 Givenchy Gentleman (Honey leather, civet and other cool stuff).

I spray it in the morning,even at night after bathing I can still smell it on my skin,first perfume in my collection works like this,Tomford made a great one with this parfum.

Ombre Leather 2018 is one of the longest lasting scents I know. It lasts easily for 24+ hours. Need to try this one!

I’ve been waiting for someone to give their impressions on this one. They call it Parfum but it’s also an EDP concentration.
Fahrenheit and ombre are my signatures. Ombre always gave me violet leaf vibes. In fact, the 2016 note breakdown lists it. So the fact that they decided to add it blows my mind. I still can't believe there's an ombre leather sequel. No need to sample it. I'm blind buying since I needed a new ombre bottle anyway.
Thanks for the review and will definitely look to get sample to test, bc nothing worst dumping money on fragrance that doesn't match body chemistry.

I’m not sure what i should think of TF’s leatger scents they don’t seem to amaze me but I’ve only tried them on strips in a store for an hour maybe so maybe when this comes out in my country i get some decants 👀

The reason EDT's tend to smell stronger compared to EDP's and Parfumes is because they have a higher alcohol concentration. Alcohol evaporates quickly and will carry the fragrance oils with it initially. During the dry down EDP's and Parfume concentrates will last longer than the EDT's.
Nah, this is a misconception. The ethanol evaporates within seconds, so that little extra bit of ethanol in the spray or two on your skin isn't going to have much of an effect.
Differences in projection are actually due to how the fragrance is formulated. EDTs often have a higher percentage of smaller weight aromachemicals, which evaporate faster, and project more. EDPs and parfums often have a higher ratio of large, heavy aromachemical base materials. This causes the frag to sit closer to the skin, but last longer.

Gotta try this! The original is one of my all time favorites. I have pea coat I used to wear a lot and it still projects ombré after 2 years of sitting in my closet haha.
Your pea coat is saturated with the fragrance oil man. You should just save yourself some money and wring it out over a bottle and presto pure parfum with a hint of lint essence.

Yall forget that the EDT is meant to project more right off the bat than the parfum. Just as Roja Dove. He explains it well.
The parfum will last longer on the skin.
I’m excited to try this but I hope they don’t reformulate the original one and make it weaker. It’s one of my top 3 favorite colognes.
Oh yeah, I forgot they announced this. The addition of Iris really has me interested in smelling it.

In terms of the parfum vs og, I really liked the parfum, it's a lot more mellow and well rounded and the jasmine (my favorite fragrance note) comes out really nice on me, and also the og has this spiciness that I don't really like on myself. So when I get money I want to pick up the parfum

I bought my boyfriend the original Tom Ford Ombre Leather and omggggg I love!!! It lasts on the skin forever, even on the clothes, I will wash his jumpers and you can still smell it. It lingers when he walks past, I'm tempted to buy myself a bottle. I may need to smell the parfum one for myself. I'd have to disagree though, the EDT is definitely more masculine. The way you describe the EDP sounds very unisex. The thing I love about EDT is that the dry down doesn't give you a headache, it's still strong (don't think thats the right word) but soft at the same time..
Very good review, I am looking to buy OG or the new parfum, so this was great for me. I love Fahrenheit so I will buy the parfum.
I purchased this perfume not long ago. I work in the hotel, very busy environment, can be pretty hot at some points. When I wear this perfume, I get lots of compliments, sometimes even people approached me and asked me what perfume is it. EDT to me smells more leather, more spicy. This one smells Iris and Violet with notes of leather on the background and has good projection.
Should check out YSL Grain De Poudre and Fahrenheit le Parfum as well for scents fighting in this weight category as well…. Maybe Amouage Black Iris too 👍

I love your channel so much, you introduced me to the art of perfumes, before i didn't really care, if it smelled good i'm good but now i'm like "ooh it's too sweet i can smell burnt sugar" or " I don't like the fruitiness of it" 🤣🤣🤣🤣it's like i judge perfumes a lot more harshly now, it's not just about the first whiff or the bottle shape. Amazing unboxing and informal review. I haven't try any Tom Ford fragrances, but this one sounds lovely. My favorite leather fragrance is Parfums de Marly Godolphin. I will give Tom Ford a try (and the og).
Oh if you love godolphin. You will love the og ombre leather. I love both. But I absolutely adore ombre.

On me, the original is a cardamom bomb: my skin really amps the powdery sweet cardamom. This version could really be up my alley, more so considering I love some masculine iris!
For me the original one is not that cardamom based, more like Jasmin-syrup with saffron and a shitton of leather.
@@destryo3287 I would love to get more jasmine, but my skin radiates cardamom like crazy and some patchouli as soon as it dries.
@@sjnscale yeah my skin takes cardamom as a base and amplifies the dry spiciness of the whole scent but doesn't radiate it. Good that there are more scents which suit other people.

But where's Anthony's introduction;) haha and I love both. I find the new Parfum a bit more wearable in some ways if you didn't want a really strong leather and can wear it year round as well.

Hi, I ordered a Cedrat Boise on your recommendation, got in and checked off the batch number directly. However, on the internet I found only negative feedback about my 20 (20J290A) batch. Which one do you have and from which year are the Cedrat Boise batches bad?
How does a bad batch happen? Like does someone take a piss in it or add spoiled milk or what? The ingredients and measurements are the same so shouldnt the outcome be the same?

Try Rare Carbon. It's a clone of Tom Ford Ombre Leather. Way more affordable and last longer. Runs between $30-$40 dollars. I think it will blow you away!
You said a lot of iris and leather. Is it similar to DHP?
I can already feel this being longer lasting but weaker in projection
The Parfum is more mass pleasing, the florale really smooth/balance out the darkness and intensity of the leather to make very wearable yet elegant. The EdP is just heavy leather with spices, smells good if you like it but not very approachable towards the mass. Despite that, the Parfum is a very long lasting fragrance lasts easily over 24 hours on your skin and even After showering it still remains, which many fragrances do but just wanted to note that down.
Do you imagine a woman wearing the OG ? I like Tom Ford for his unisex fragrances but I wonder if it would be too masculine on me

I have Zara Bois de Vincennes, with mandarin orange,iris,violet and leather.A smoky beautiful leather that lasts, at least for me. I guess I won’t be needing this one.

It''s likee Fahrenheit? For me Is a no. Love the flankers of Fahrenheit, but my skin and nose they get on badly with him. Or the last formule of Dior.

Another subject. I really love this dynamic for reviewing fragrances. A couple of teviewers like yours, it's gold for the addicts of perfumes.
I've got the original and I'd spray it on the leather seats in the car but that is about it...It reminds me of a leather coat that has to be aired out for three months before you can wear it. Now a good leather to me is JPG's Le Male EDP.....That to me is a good use of leather.
Acqua di Parma Colonia Leather, Parfum de Marly Godolphin, and Polo Supreme Leather are all worth checking out.

I never had a nice performance (actually the oposite and whit its price is a big sin) with the OG and I also think like Andre about that sweetness that I´d like to feel it less. Maybe the new one really fits. I will try it.

Ombre Leather Parfum is a classic example of "If it ain't broken, don't fix it." I will get EDP instead, I've heard that one is better and more masculine.

As far as it lasting, I’ll spray it on a jacket, put the jacket on the next day and I’ll still smell it
My favourite Tom Ford fragrance is Black Orchid, actually is my favourite fragrance out there I can’t get enough of it
