  • To celebrate the 2 millions views of the first episode AND the 50th birthday of PIPPEN i decided to make a second one..." red assault 2 "
it shows the great connections between Michael Jordan,Scottie Pippen and Dennis Rodman (1995-98) and their basketball IQ.
We can see how strong they were defensively and how dangerous, creative and quick they played offensively.
They played together 3 seasons and they won the championship 3 time in a row !!!
The greatest TRIO (defensively) of all time and probably one of the best trios in NBA history.
    Just one word : UNBEATABULLS

I don't see how anyone could think this season's warriors could beat this bulls team in 7. They had everything.. Jordan: greatest all around player ever. greatest scorer ever. natural leader who always lived up to the occasion. unguardable yet could still drop 35 and shut down the opponents best player. no one ever talks about his def.
Pippen: strong, could run the point. a powerful forward who was as aggressive as anyone to the rim. could also shut down anyone in the league.
Rodman: unbelievable work rate. played much bigger than he was and could go through spurts of frustrating the games best bigmen. a rebounding machine.
kukoc: excellent shooter from anywhere. enough size to defend the paint and a terrific passer of the ball.
Harper: good with the ball and big for a combo like guard. more than capable of scoring and running a game. another top shelf defender.
Longley: underrated as anyone ever has been. not the faster nor the quickest, but always put in a shift rebounding and providing a point to go to in the paint. more than capable of defending the paint.
And complement players like Steve Kerr who could shoot the lights out.
Phil Jackson: a good understanding of the players he had. imo he didn't rise to be the games best til those last few seasons In chicago. but take nothing away from him. his knowledge of the game and the opposition was world class.
we all know this Bulls team could outscore anyone. period. Jordan would get his 30 a game and that's speaking of his low end production if he did have to buckle down and defend on the other end. the great thing about this bulls team was it wasn't just 1 outstanding defender or rebounder or scorer. they came at you lights out every second on both ends. they were aggressive and ran the fast break possibly as great as any team ever. I just don't see any team ever beating them in 7 games. if anything that Utah Jazz team were a better match up than this warriors team. we have to wait to see Durant play with them, but honestly even then.. I don't see it. Idc how many regular season wins they rack up or even if they go undefeated. this team had every single aspect a team could possibly have. even a team full of identical clones would find it tough to beat them in 7. hell, I'd even give the Warriors home court. Jordan always seemed to love going into venues where he was booed and everyone except for his teammates wanted him to fail. He would come out, drop 50 and the bulls would win by 18 at Golden State.. even their fans would lose all confidence where they couldn't go to the restroom without those knees trembling. I'll be nice and say it would go to 5 games. unbelievable team those bulls teams were. exciting, gritty, and beautiful to watch.

I hate to sound like an old man (I'm only 29) but the kids today who are trying to say the warriors are better team just don't get it. there is not one player on the warriors team who is as athletic as any one of these three guys. they were all top-flight athletes, but they were so much more. All three of these guys all-nba first defensive team that year. Between the three of them, the earned 24 all nba first team defensive selections. All three were seriously some of the best defenders to ever play, and all could guard multiple positions and Rodman could guard all 5 (remember when he held SHAQ to 0 points for the second half+ overtime?). In his 3 years with the bulls, Rodman was averaging over 15 rebounds a game. The best rebounder on the Warriors is Draymond who is getting 9.4 RPG at the time of me writing this. In 96-97, even while not the first option due to the whole playing with Jordan thing, Pip put up 20 points 6.5 boards and 5.7 assists. Those are better numbers than Kawaii, who many call the best player on the planet right now, is putting up right now AND Pip is a better defender AND he is taller and longer. Then there is Jordan. Jordan is the greatest player ever. no question. Jordan is: number 1 all time in PPG in the playoffs AND regular season, #1 in PER for the regular season AND playoffs, number in one in win-shares for the playoffs and number 4 in the regular season. in every season he played in from 87-98 he lead the league in scoring. If you total regular seasons, finals, and all-star game mvps the guy had 14 mvp awards. Jordan lead the league in steals 3 times, and pippin did it once. If you combine ORtg and DRtg the 96-97 bulls team beats every team ever. People try to throw around how Steph is an incredible three point shooter, but maybe they forget that his coach used to play for the bulls, and Kerr has the highest 3-point % of all time. Toni Kukoc was 6th man of the year giving 13-4.5-4.5 off the bench. Ron Harper was a 6'6" point guard who should have been all nba first defensive team. Luc Longly was the weakest of the starters, but even he was a good player and would have been a load for the warriors since he was a legit 7'2" and would have been more than enough to neutralize any thing the warriors get out of their only real big in bogut. And the most insane part of all of this is that all this information and all of these stats still....STILL do not properly show how good this bulls team was. They were doing things on a regular basis that guys do once in a while now and doing it against competition that would crush the league today. And if you doubt that, you need to go back and start watching NBA footage all the way from the 70's to today. I think a lot of people today think that basketball was basically a different game than today until it started to take shape in the 90's, but you will be completely surprised at what guys were doing back in the day.

I hated your team (the Knicks) so, so badly when I was a kid! I started following the Bulls during the 93 season and the Knicks were the first (and only) team that really scared the hell out of me. And then the next year when MJ retired and you guy just got by us with that bullshit call on Pip, that was crushing. That was the first time in my life I saw the Bulls eliminated from the playoffs. I think the playoff series between the Bulls and Knicks from 1992 through 1994 was one of the greatest rivalries in the history of the sport.

That kind of physical intensity makes things more exciting to watch. And MJ with his killer instinct and aura of invincibility vs the blue collar, hard nosed and physical New York defense with Pat Riley as the head coach made for an incredible drama.

This team had 3 of the best defenders all-time, each of them were at least 6-6. Rodman, the best rebounder ever & did a lot of lil things to help the team like hussle & dive for loose balls. Pippen was one of the best all-around players ever. Jordan's fade-away jumper was unguardable. Nobody had the hangtime combined with the leaping ability that Jordan had. Steve Kurr was the most consistent shooter ever. Harper was a tough, physical pg, played great d, & was s good pg all-around.

Loved that era, grew up watching Jordan in 84 was only 11 so perfect age to start to follow someone. We had just got cable TV and we got WGN in Chicago and TNT in Atlanta so I got to watch all the Bulls and Hawks games as often as I wanted too. Nothing was better back then watching Jordan and Dominique. I had the time of my life back then and the Bulls dynasty was the most fun to watch. Nothing else has ever compared to it.

What people forget is that they were doing these things against future Hall Of Famers. Every night. Usually two on each team they played against. I have always been a Lakers fan. Yet you have to pay homage to the greatest players no matter who they play for. As a Lakers fan I have seen some great teams take the court. The Bulls of 95-98, were just that. One of the greatest teams assembled. They were so well oiled no one wanted to go up against them. Pat Riley said it, a Lakers Coach who has rings and seen some of the greatest players also. This Bulls team was unbelievable. I had the pleasure of watching them during this run. A Love/Hate viewing. You had to love the way they played, and hated it because they were killing your team.

If you ignore great, you will never become it. I remembering watching them destroy teams. I sat there picking my jaw off the floor daily, in total denial, then disbelief, and then just let the awe overwhelm me. They were something worth watching, in an era of amazing players and teams. They actually stood far above all of them. You gotta give them that respect.

    My starting 5:
Stockton - True point guard, great defensively, makes the right play basically all the time, can space and shoot it with the best of them
Jordan - Best finisher in the game, great defensively, one of the best clutch players in the game, perfect match with Pippen
Pippen - One of the best all around players in the game, a beast defensively, perfect match with Jordan
Rodman - One of the best defensive minded player in the game, don't need the ball to make an impact
Hakeem - One of the all the great centers, one of the best all around game no matter what position

    • @ericlopez6866
      @ericlopez6866 Před 2 lety

I'd change Rodman for Duncan, who fits your description of Rodman but is overall better. It'd hard to argue for the other picks if you just want to win a game. Maybe Wilt for Hakeem? But prime Hakeem might've been the best center of all time. Magic for Stockton? Maybe, but like you said, Stockton made the correct play basically all the time and wasn't looking to score, which you need with a team with MJ. Maybe Lebron as PG as long as he knows to shut up and just make plays, which he'd probably be ok with MJ on his team.
