In my opinion the best duo in history! I feel blessed to have been born when I was and that I was able to watch MJ and The Bulls when they were running The NBA and going 72-10.I don't think you younger guys understand the magnitude of how good they really were!!!I don't even entertain the comparisons of these young NBA guys to them or that era..It was truly awesome!!!

Agree 1,000% man I grew up on jordan and pippen no one in the league today could see them people forget being that most players today only play one end of the court that Jordan and Pippen were lockdown defenders at there positions meaning they could shut down the other teams two or three best players thats unheard of in today's game.

Scottie was amazing. The perfect compliment to MJ.
And probably just as good as Jordan for the last 3 titles. Of course, MJ was no longer prime at that point.
@@bradleyboyer9979 Jordan carried the Bulls to that last title. Pippen's back was fucked--he missed a ton of games and was never the same player again--and had checked out mentally due to management treating him like shit. Also, Rodman was extremely erratic that year.

He was still one of the top offensive players in the league, but he wasn't nearly as efficient as he used to be. You are correct about Scottie being hobbled, but they had a cast that was phenomenal on defense and had guys like Kukoc who would have been a top scorer on any other team. Luc Longley was also a very underrated Center. They basically had an all-defensive player at every position. They simply needed to shut down the other team and keep it close until the end of the game. I'm the biggest Jordan fan there is, but he did not "carry" those teams.

Fire & Flesh Disagree. Jordan, Pippen, Hakeem, Payton, Kemp, Shaq, and Penny really were the saving graces of the mid to late nineties. The rest of it kinda sucked.
These two make each other stronger. Great example.
They were the two most athletically versatile players in the league offensively and defensively by a significant margin. Pippen actually had more of a mean streak in his play whereas MJ was the better fourth quarter scorer which is why he got most of the shine. But there no way these players could have had a better partner than one another because of how they wreaked havoc both ends of the court and then turned defensive turnovers into a fast break regularly during their primes

Lebron is bigger, stronger, and most likely faster, but he's also less skilled. He doesn't have the ability to see the game 3 plays ahead, else he wouldn't have turnover issue.

This duo never had to play 7 games in any of their 6 finals. In 24 total series during the winning years, they only went to 7 games twice, in other words they CRUSHED other teams in 22 of their 24 playoff series! Plus they won 2 trienniels of rings with two completely different rosters. It's mind boggling when you add it all up. No duo in the history of basketball or any sport can match that.
LeBron and Scottie were the same players.. Moderate shooters, power dunkers, great blockers, great defense, good passers and Key to their team success.. Last thing Needed a Superstar to win titles...

Facts
You know, what made the championship Bulls so fun to watch, they worked so well together as a team... the assists and "freebies" to their teammates flowed naturally and seamlessly... IMO those assists are what set them apart, made them potent and won their championships. That and hard work/dedication of course as well, but that synergy is hard to coach, it just has to be there and with Jordan and Pippen it flourished.

My dad, who just turned 58, told me In all his years only until this new generation of basketball probably everything pre 2005 players actually played above the rim. Meaning they use their size to its fullest potential and using it fundamentally to score. Tim Duncan did it well he was about the last legend of my day to. But it’s true players now will take a foul or flop and that just shows softness. The NBA has gotten soft despite the few players who actually do play above the rim

That background music though...great choices. Those two were such predators in their prime. Blocking, stealing and violently dunking on everyone. They had the elevation to go over, or the finesse to go around them in the air. These guys were SKILLED.
