      Absolutely he was a great all around basketball player. He is underrated because the GOAT was on his team. Michael made Scottie a better player. The biggest debate I hear about him is, is he one of the 50 best NBA player's of all time. I think he is because he played in the best era of the NBA. Where you had to be tough and take hits and elbows etc etc. Today's NBA is wicked soft and if a prime Scottie played in todays NBA he would average at least 30 points a game, maybe more. Plus he was one of the league's best defenders. He was truly a awesome player to watch. It's to bad Jerry Krause didn't want to pay the man what he was worth. I'm just glad I got to see him play.

      Yup. I grew up watching them. During the s cond three-peat, there were stretches where Pippen was actually the best player on the team. Jordan scored better, obviously, but Scottie was the glue of those teams on both ends.
      And he is partially correct about MJ and Phil treating him like garbage. Just watch his jersey retirement ceremony on CZcams. Phil and MJ get up and talk about him like he was some liability they had to overcome. I honestly don't blame him for the lack of respect.
      I disagree with a previous poster that he would be top 10 or 15 all-time in different circumstances. He was not a pure enough scorer to be in that conversation. But if we were solely talking about all-around game on both ends and not counting scoring at a premium, he would be up there. Unfortunately, when we are talking top 10 of all-time, I think you do have to include scoring at a premium because that's what finishes games and can carry a team when the going gets tough on offense.

    Now, I'm glad all of this is happening, since 1998 nobody has been able to Win a championship in Chicago. Chicago in General was Worse Then, than now. The city of Chicago was more structured and dangerous. Yet Scottie Pippen was able to Win 6 championship in Chicago. Scottie Pippen was the brains from the background of the operation he balanced, and Fought with the G.M's Owners and dealt with Children as players for most he had to become their Fathers, teach them and make nd Keep them strong mentally, and teach them what to do while living in the city of Chicago, This is what makes Draymond green effective and the best of the best but for Scottie he separates even from him because Scottie Pippen still found energy to get on the court and Hold the BEST or as you all say Greatest basketball player of all time to there Lowest points or Averages , now another level He can go on the offensive end and Score ALL OF HIS POINTS. Michael Jordan had help, That was Scottie Pippen idea on who helped Michael Jordan, Scottie put it together. It was more that happen between Michael Jordan and Steve Kerr. Scottie Pippen is behind that, that's why Steve Kerr get mad when y'all talk about it because you don't know nothing. The best player of all times NUMBER 1 is Scottie Pippen because NOBODY can go in CHICAGO and win 1 championship led along 6. One championship in Chicago is worth 20championships in L.A . Scottie Pippen fought for practice time but for these other teams, practice hours come EASY. Scottie Pippen has the greatest mind of all Time. Number 1 in the NBA.

Overall look up what mj prior to coming back about the team supporting scottie. He said until they find scotties, pippen like the one that was supporting me they will struggle.. the bj Armstrong and toni kukoc of the world will need to grow and mature. Just don’t see enough of this!
    The absolute most underrated player!
    Yes In the Last Dance;
    Jordan said some nice things but overall he did him dirty! Bottom line!
    Mentioning all of the negative aspects and completely negating ALL of the times He bailed MJ and the Bulls out!
    He was abs is (till this day in my opinion) the best wing Defender of all time !
    And comparing Lebron to mJ is not really a comparison to be made..
    Pippen was more of the player Lebron should be compared to regarding the amount of tools n the ability to make his team better..
    I use to think Scottie and Duane Wade was a GREAT comparison… but the more n more I see Pippens highlights; the more I believe that you can eliminate that comparison as well..
    Yes I’m aware Wade won without Lebron ..
    but to me it’s overall.. great compilation

    Pippen was the greatest X-Factor in NBA history. There would be no Jordan legacy without him. Weirdly enough, had he went to another team like Boston with Bird Detroit with Isaiah, Lakers with Magic, or Jazz with Stockton, he would have had more rings than Jordan who already struggled against those teams and could never advance in the early playoff rounds.

    • @g24deez
      @g24deez Před 2 lety +1

      Jordan legacy was already intact b4 Pippen got there. Jordan already had accolades b4 Pippen. Pippen wasn't even a starter his rookie year. Those teams that Jordan couldn't advanced against they was already well put 2gether. 85 Bucks was a great team of the 80s to never win, the 86 Celtics was Bird best team ever and the 87 Celtics went to the Finals and lost. I guarantee if Pippen came into the league and had to deal with what Jordan dealt with, which is no help Pippen would've folded lol.
