If you think about it.
The Rappier kept others at a distance while the Gatito is a up close and personal blade.
It coming in clutch is symbolic of Puss letting others matter more to him.
This is not furry, it's a fable. A short narrative literary composition in which the main characters are usually animals that speak and act like human beings.
Yes, "Little Jack Horner" is an actual nursery rhyme. It's a bit more obscure nowadays, which is probably why the filmmakers felt the need to include said nursery rhyme in the movie. Although, Jack was eating a "Christmas Pie" instead of a "Horner Pie" in the original nursery rhyme.
SHUT THE ABSOLUTE F*CK UP DUDE,THIS IS JUST F*CKING PIRACY AT THIS POINT
The wolf is actually based upon a European legend who sometimes changes into a wolf to instill as much fear as it can, the more afraid you are the more powerful it becomes, the literal personification of death itself.
Director got assigned the sequel of a spin-off and said “what if I dropped the coldest antagonist in the entire franchise”
funny thing is, you could be talking about the Wolf or Jack and both are accurate.
@@ArynBacklogDragon No, it's definitely Wolf. Jack's a good villain, but he's not cool. Wolf's cool as a motherfucker.
you know whats funny? this director has done this twice. He did the croods sequel too and apparently it was fire, dude just has a niche for making REALLY good sequels lol
@makubesohaan3922 I gotta disagree there. The Wolf's a great antagonist, but he's not a villain. Jack _is_ a villain, and a cold one at that.
@@joshuagross3151Death is a villain, he's not doing his job. He wants to kill Puss because he's angry. Was the Mei Lai Massacre a part of the job? No, the US soldiers did it because they were angry and Death is doing the same thing
Love me some characters in media that are just Death. Not necessarily malicious, but impartial
I mean... he wasn't really impartial in this movie. he wasn't just "doing his job" and waiting for Puss to die his last life. he was personally and maliciously going after him.
@@ArynBacklogDragonFair enough. I was moreso speaking in the general sense, but I’d like to think that Death ending his pursuit implies that he’s more reasonable than malicious, or that this was the exception rather than the rule.
@@forgottenhope26 its the exception because puss did not value life.
He strikes me so much like Toguro.
Like, maybe after his time in limbo/Purgatory, Togashi may decide that this is his role. He reminds me so much of the type of antagonist that Togashi would put out.
& Jack Horner is like a One Piece villain.
@OttoeCamn It's always weird to me people keep insisting he's just a guy doing hard work when he's clearly going out of his way to torment Puss because he's bitter and angry he's not feared enough. He is the furthest thing from impartial.
Little Jack Horner is a real nursery rhyme, yeah
It was written shortly before the story of Pinocchio was written. I don't know if it was intentional on the movie writers part but Jack being overshadowed by Pinocchio was very apt and true to life
I am very sure it was intentional. DreamWorks is known for their attention to detail.
Pinocchio was released in little short stories on italian newspapers years before the official publication as entire book by Collodi requested by the kids of italy that loved the story of "Adventures of Pinocchio" that is the actual name of the book.
Just so you know, this movie is VERY stand alone. The only thing you'd really need the first movie for is Kitty, but even her character here is written in a way that you dont really have to know who she is previously.
Santa Coloma is something the first PiB film does not include. Them getting married is a plot twist for everybody ^^
I am flabbergasted seeing KoL react to this AND LOVE Death here
hey, that's my comment dude, wtf man
wait a minute, why like 2 minutes from when I posted that reply that the stolen comment was just erased from the comment entirely... was it CZcams or the poster?
Hopefully this is the first of many times we will get to see death
@@Crossing-Blades Death made it clear that he'll be seeing Puss again, that might just be for when he actually dies but it'd be cool to see him as a rival character of sorts
I love how you understood death’s mentality here and weren’t just assuming Puss “beat” death or wasn’t afraid anymore. Rather he learned fear and appreciation for life, and so many reactors miss that
Spanish translations
Puss said to the governor in the beginning “my house is your house” and the governor replied “no, your house is my house.”
“Corre corre gatito” means “run run little cat.”
The cat going “ooooooh” was from the first movie. Just a joke from it.
Puss tells perrito “I don’t speak English ” Perrito replies “you speak Spanish? Me too! Oh! Where are you from? Do you like naps?”
Yes, the Jack Horner was a real crappy nursery rhyme no one remembers.
“Quinceañera” means “sweat 15”
Kitty told the bear family “Imma turn you all into a bathroom rug!”
Death said at the end “why the hell did I play with my food!”
Fun fact: the first time the wolf makes an appearance is when Puss is fighting the giant. While the crowd does a wave motion, he's in the back left corner, in the shadows, simply watching. This movie is so good
For anyone who wants to see it, the youtube channel "Universal Pictures All-Access" has a video called "Puss in Boots: The Last Wish | Who is Your Favorite Fearless Hero? | Extended Preview." Jump to 4 minutes and 50 seconds
Quincenera = 15th birthday celebration in Mexico/ Mexican culture
Corre, corre, gatito = Run, run, little kitty
No hablo inglês = I don't speak English
Porque diabos fuy a jugar con mi comida?! = Why the hell did I play with my food?!

@@dankcraft7386 Nice Muerte Lobo pfp!😎🤙He looks so adorable while slurping water or tequila, lol.
The death really is everywhere and always appears out of nowhere with its coldest scenes ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
little fun fact: the cards they used to show his past lives at the doctors(vet?) has death in the corners they foreshadowed it a few times and yes death was in the background of the opening part too in a door way behind the crowd during the giant fight. got to love attention to details
wow, lowbro, wtf man thats my comment
What I really like about Death is that he's consistent with his own rules rather than Calvinballing it.
Death is WAY more powerful than the Wishing Star so, it has no power over him. He's a constant of existence, the inevitable endpoint of everything, and the Wishing Star is just a random fluke of the universe that only has the power to influence a part of it.
There is nothing more certain than death, nothing can truly escape it, as it can only be postponed.
There is a reason why death is usually the most powerful entity in stories.
If Death is more powerful than the Wishing Star then it would mean no wish would help Puss escape Death, right? Death would just speedrun through all his regained lives... but then, Death implied that it would be possible for Puss to run away, he said "what are you going to do, run away to more lives, or are you gonna fight?!"
@@cynxmanga He would only be able to postpone his death. Note the exact phrasing used, "Or are you gonna run away to more lives?" Death has already demonstrated to Puss that he can find him anywhere if he wants, thus running away is useless otherthan as a means to postpone the inevitable. The biggest thing about the phrasing is the thing he never states yeat has been consistently shown throughout the movie that if he runs away to more lives nothing will stop Death from killing him over and over again until he runs out of lives and dies for real.
@@nielsjensen4185 makes sense
Seen this movie multiple times but hadn't ever noticed that Death doesn't appear on the map, that's a cool detail!
I didn’t notice that either that is awesome. Do you think maybe it’s because he’s not alive?
@@jackattacktron1000he is death, he is everywhere lol
@@TheConvexDRno I recognize that Death can appear anywhere cause he does multiple times in the movie, I just meant that maybe the map didn’t show him because he’s not alive aka not a person that can be registered as a potential wish granter.
more like, he is not bound to earth rules, remember death just walked thru that wall like it was nothing while other people would die if they crossed the wall full.@@jackattacktron1000
@@TheConvexDR that’s true, That’s a good way of putting it. Plus it’s just really cool Death was the best part of the movie.
What Death said at the end there when he stared down Puss was "Why do I always play with my food?"
I think Kitty was lying about not showing up to make Puss feel better
Honestly I kinda agree
She was lying
Death the Wolf, is one of the Dopiest Characters I've seen in a While! Such a Great Movie.
The sheer number of little hints that the Wolf is in fact Death that are littered throughout this movie makes it one of my favorites of all time.
“Was that Mickey’s magical hat from Kingdom Hearts?”
The amount of removal from the source material that that hat has suffered 😂
That is MERLIN’S hat, from the legends of King Arthur.
Merlin's hat didn't have stars. It's from the movie Fantasia
@@ReiseLukas Didn’t Mickey _take_ that hat even there, when it didn’t belong to him? Like, wasn’t he supposed to be this assistant who tried to automate his work with magic, and overdid it almost immediately?
Even Mickey’s hat belonged to someone else. Probably his version of Merlin, even.
@@alecLogan Yeah, he was a servant/apprentice to a Sorcerer and took the hat cause he wanted to use magic but it eventually got him into so much trouble that the Sorcerer had to intervene
Damn, I didn't expect a reaction to this.
He literally announced it
He does use that Death clip alot lol
Don’t feel bad, I also love Death. Straight up. 🐺💀
Puss: "If you're leaving, why are you still whistling?"
Death: "Lets the girls know who's coming home."
bro i'm loving every second of this
“Corre, corre, gatito.” Means “Run, run, little cat.”
You dont gotta be a furry to appreciate good movies 😂
But seriously, this film is AWESOME! Definitely in my top 3 for Dreamworks movies! Everything about it just flows together so well, and of course, Death is absolutely incredible
This actually counts as a fable. So not furry at all.
Just unbelievable. I'm very elated that he saw this
The broom and gride had me dying 🤣🤣59:19
He's Death... straight...up.
59:35: Yeah, Jack is a MENACE!
I knew he’d love the wolf character 🤣
I'm glad so many people can imagine Perrito is the goodest of boys through the whole movie and isn't just an annoying mascot character for the movie.
Death still occasionally gives me chills
"What's the matter? Lives flashing before your eyes?" -Death
look behind u
Merry Christmas kol, thx for the present dude
Cheers from Brazil ❤
Bro......death is just built different
15:45 he said “run, run cat.” I think…I took a bit of Spanish in school…
Actually now that I think about it a bit more…I think he actually said “Run, Run, LITTLE Cat.” Because the tito bit at the end I think means small when you attach it to another word. For instance…‘Gatito’. I say this because Gato means cat directly. So that must mean Gatito means basically ‘Small Cat’…
I don't know if we will see again in another movie the character of Death (or the Big Bad Wolf as I like to call him), I think that when he said that they will meet again, it was mainly just when Puss will die, because of someone or just old age, because well, he's litterally Death, so he doesn't need to fight Puss, he will be there anyway at a moment :3
I'm super down for more movie reactions like these
Jack is the thematic villain to Goldie and she's the one who ultimately defeats him. Notice the sequence when they rip the map. She gives the go-ahead to it. Goldie lets go of her desire because she already has it, she just needed to see what was right in front of her, and Jack holds on to his and is in the end consumed by it.
The Ethical Bug is far from okay. When he flies in on the phoenix near the end he's still missing the leg and wing he lost when Jack flicked him. He's only fine at the end because the phoenix healed him before she left. This also explains the reason Jack has 12 Bakers left of the Bakers Dozen when he shows up again in The Dark Forest (A Bakers Dozen is 13) after one of them died and the rest were pretty roughed up by the Posies. Jack used the phoenix to heal them, I guess since hauling around a lot of wounded would seriously hamper his style.
Perro = dog
Perrito = little dog
Gato = Cat
Gatito = Little Cat
Similar to Senora and Senorita (female version here)
If -ito means little, what does this imply about the Mosquito? do i need to fear a massive mythological flying beast that is out for my blood?
@@kitsunekaze93 Don't forget the legendary "Doro"
Lobo = Wolf
Merry fucking Christmas kol got damn thank you bro 😂🙌🏼
“I like this dog.” - KOL
You know, in the beginning you can see the Wolf standing in upper left, when the crowed dies the wave
Wolf has Red Hair Shanks level Aura😳
Someone literally drew him as Shanks, & Perrito as Luffy
I also see Death-wolf as Toguro, while Jack Horner is a One Piece villain
This is not furry, it's a fable. A short narrative literary composition in which the main characters are usually animals that speak and act like human beings.
almost like saying Beastars is the only furry thing ever
That’s just called anthromorph animals
@@jay_thebaguetteman4169 It's a movie based on fairy tales, so it IS a fable.
still furry

That was a really good reaction! Love that you liked it! Honestly, this movie has a perfect script. It's just that good. Death really elevated the whole thing by another level.
57:10
The lines in this page are an acronym that says, "You already have it."
Sadly he doesn't show it but at 19:54 when the 4 portraits are on the wanted poster is spells out "Want Family"
You got so hyped every time Death showed up, and I loved it. XD Dude broke the Internet, and still is!!
1:23:04 This is what Death said: Why the hell did I go play with my food? Instead of just killing Puss, he taunted him, and Puss was able to best him.
Not to mention that, if death hadn't approached him and scared him, Puss probably just would've pulled another reckless stunt in a few months and died for the last time
This was a very enjoyable reaction and watch along. Love your upbeat attitude. Also shout out to you for having a "Skies of Arcadia" poster in your backdrop. Been forever since I thought about that game.
Ps. you might have trouble convincing people that you're not a furry supporter when you casually name drop a site like FA
For those that are curious death’s little rant in Spanish translates to
“Why the hell did I have to play with my food?”😂
This movie was top tier
Lol kol not knowing thst nursery had me a bit shooked lol. Also wasnt expecting this movie reaction, pretty cool
We all knw Puss in Boots was basically Zorro and Antonio Banderas is killing both roles. Even though I always wanted Raul Julia to play Zorro but he passed after Street Fighter and that hurt big time.
An English teacher I had played Cousin Itt in the same movie with Raul as Gomez Addams
@@GalekC That’s fucking awesome!!!
Didn't know I needed this reaction King. Thank You😂.
death is so menacing
never have in my life have i needed something so much and never known until i received it
Durability has went crazy but for the wolf death
Little jack horner and Pinocchio origins are actually roughly from the same era
And you already know Pinocchio became more popular
Glad you enjoyed this movie as much as me. Death is the most awesome and badass villain ever and the coolest💖 Love Death. I bet Death secretly saved Perrito from drowning, would be an awesome side story. Death has the coolest personality
Furry Toguro for me
Yo what is this editinng 10/10 meme usage, Snake salute was gold 🤣
I watched this on a flight and had no regrets. It was great
As someone put it plainly on a forum I frequent: -
Jack Horner is like a One Piece villain.
Death-Wolf is like Toguro from Yu Yu Hakusho.
This movie is a goddang dream come true for someone like me.
I just got the collector's edition of this movie for Christmas, it's a modern-day classic!
Now you're here too, like damn. My whole year's kinda revolved around this film
@@GalekC Really, now? I saw it at the tail-end of last year and I still think it's fantastic.
I still think, KoL doesn't know that the Big Bad Wolf (just another fairytale character) was actually the embodiment of DEATH itself..😂😂
MERRY CHRISTMAS KOL THANKS FOR THE GIFT I LOVE THIS MOVIE
I rewatched it just to see how long Death was watching. Gaydaunm + both Puss and kitty is Zoro and his wife.
Merry Christmas kol and thanks for this gift
59:20 the broom and gride 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Death's voice is Pablo from Narcos btw.
You may not be a furry but you straight up came during that fight scene.
15:38 my man that is retro reflection- that thing when an animal’s eyes reflect light.
Played real well here
Merry Christmas KOL, thanks for the present 🎁
One of the best reactions I’ve seen to this animated masterpiece. Keep it up, bro!
Little jack is indeed a nursery rhyme, I’m surprised how many people have not heard it honestly
thats kinda the joke with the horner and pinocchio scene
Last I remember, Farquad turned mama bear into a carpet😅
9:52 Out here repping the White Beard Pirates 😅
The Giant Luffy reference was great lol
The cat skywalk tap dance is a reference to the first movie and I LOVE IT
Fun fact, while hibernation is associated heavily with bears, they don’t _actually_ hibernate. They go into topor, effectively still power-save mode, but it allows them to just _wake up_ at any point during the time of year that they’re in it, and function as well as they would normally to address whatever caused the early wakeup.
Now, whether that tracks with fairy tale and fiction bears in general… unknown. Probably whatever is more convenient.
Honestly, i gotta respect him putting the watermark over the movie so that no one can screen record it
When this movie was in theaters I watched this film at least 4 times 1 alone the other watched with the homies and the fam and the soundtrack is amazing 😮💨🤌🏾 I remember when me and my friend watched it when death approached puss at the end with the purple flames he said bro is iori from kof and I'm still trying to get that out of my head 😭
This mans reaction to the Death scenes are the best so far.
KUNG FU PANDA WHEN
kol we need a in depth review ppllllssss
Love the editing makes video so funny 🤣🤣 keep it up bro .
Oh hell nah, full movie? Let's gooo
literally did not see this coming at all but this is amazing
6:02 NAHHHH HAHAHAHAHAHA I WAS NOT EXPECTING THIS AND IT FITS PERFECTLY 😂😂
This editing is absolutely WILD XD
I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't immediately understand that the wolf was Death. I understood that the bounty hunter was imprinted on his iconography because he was a representation of death, an image. Not that he was Death strait up. I thought before the reveal that Puss had only encountered him once or twice: the first encounter and when Team Friendship stole the map. Otherwise, I thought it was his trauma talking. It had the same effect on me as bleeding Puss. It shocked me, not because he had never been cut by a blade, but because it was blood in plain sight in an animated family film. If there is blood, it must be hidden! Well no. This film took people used to watching animated films seriously by surprise.
15:45 “Run, run kitty.”
1:23:04 “Why the hell did I play with my food?!”
How long does it take Puss to become the WSS in One piece?😂
Calling the baby bear Dababy was one of my fav parts of this vid😂😂😂😂

Translation:why the hell did I play with my food?
That's what death said
Notice how literally every character says what they were going to wish for at some point, and none of them got to wish on the star.
Man said "mickeys magical hat from kingdom hearts" lmao
I actually haven’t had the chance to watch the movie before this reaction. Peak commentary 😂💯
"run, run little kity" 15:45
It's crazy when you look back at the map scene and how it changes based on who has it after you learn Perrito's backstory
Quick and easy solutions? Like drowning...
Posies? Symbol of death
River of Relaxation?
Literally all the landmarks have to do with Perrito's attempted drowning, but because he's so innocent and has no regret, it's fine.
Kitty has her map based off the heartbreak of Puss leaving her, Puss has his map based off his fear of death.
the random clips are so funny bruh 😭😭
