I have a question, i have a problem with mine and don’t know if I need to change the whole thing. I have tighten every screw I can visibly see on the deadbolt but when the key enters (center) when I insert the key it wiggles/shakes, making it hard to lock door. Why is that? If anyone knows, please help. Thank you in advance!
I want to see how to take the old one off..we just got the bronze set, replacing the nickel colored one. You already had the old one removed.

I am looking at the Kwikset Montara handle Assembly for my double-door entry. Kwikset does not make a dummy set for the left door. Is there any way to make this into a dummy door handle that would be flush with the door?
Hi! How do you remove that “pin” on the bottom of the handle? (The last step in this video but in reverse let’s say.) My pin is round so can’t grip it to remove the stew on the opposite side.
Quick question: You mentioned that your door swings left... Are your bedrooms on the left side of your house (when viewed from outside heading in)? As a firefighter concerned with searching in low/zero-visibility conditions, I've been told that most of the time, the door swings inward in the direction of bedrooms.
I have a question. My friend have this same door handle and he was telling me that the thumb latch was stuck and can't press down. I was messing with it and figured out that from the inside if you lift the handle up it locks it and down to unlock it or vice-versa. Let me know if yours does the same too or does it not suppose to lock. Oh, it locks while the door is open but when you close it it automatically unlocks.

"..tape the other end so you don't get a blowout" hm, would have been a great idea to show what you mean, I assume you mean put a piece of Duck Tape on the inside of door where drill hole is coming thru?
They is correct 👍🏽😊 or another great option is. Get a piece of scrap wood and press it against the door where it’s coming through while you drill.
What do you use to tape the other side to avoid a blow out?

You should flip it so the bevel side of the handle lock is on the inside
I bought and installed a Schlage replacement locket for my rental house, and I have to say I was disappointed with the quality....it was poorly made with cheap metals, even using cheap brasslike screws, which are too soft. I say brasslike but I don't know what metal is is. It won't last two years. I hope Kwikset has better quality products! You're instructions were great, by the way....very precise, and helpful.

Cleaned and oiled with gun oil and WD40. Dis the trick but I know it isn't permanent
You need to reticle the video dude. It’s saying remove and replace. That’s was only an installation.
Reticle? The title says replace and install. If you reverse engineer the video you will get the feel on how you can remove the handles 👍🏽😁
