❤ I enjoy seeing a father spending time with his son more, well as much, as I do seeing the finds!
Pleased you enjoy our videos Melissa 😊
I was thinking the same thing! Sort of makes me feel good.
Magnet fishing is definitely a dad sport! Loads of tools, knifes, restorable furniture, handgranades, and money! I think I'll give this a go.
You should definitely give it a try James! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
good going old line said, family that works together stays together
Absolutely 👍
South Carolina U.S. here. We are truly missing your videos. We hope everyone is doing well. Blessings to you your family.
Hi Maxine, we’ve just uploaded a NEW video this evening. Hope you’ll check it out! We are from Nottinghamshire in the U.K.. Blessings to your family too 👍
Good to see you both back, can't believe how much George has grown since the last video. Stay safe out there
Just want to add... The quality of the video is so much better, so props to the camera lady or person behind the camera
Hi Donna it was good to be back and yes George has grown loads!
We will pass that on to our camera lady 😁
I have found that teenaged boys seem to shoot up if you continue to feed them! So far my two are at 6 foot 4inches and may not have finished yet. Considering that their father just makes 6 feet and I’m 5 foot 2 inches it’s a bit surprising! At least I don’t have problems with obtaining things on high shelves any more!
@@reginaromsey George is over 6 feet tall now as well!
Welcome back thanks for taking me with you guys.
It was good to get back out, we had a great day! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
Love father & son bonding. Both of your handsome smiles. Trust you will find the rest of the table support. Good to see you both. From Ohio 🇺🇸
Hi Kathy, we hope we find the rest of the table support too! We found out it’s an old pub table. Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
I really enjoy all the old things you find in the canals. Everything is a piece of history. I think the relationship you have with your son is wonderful.
Pleased to hear you are enjoying watching the things we find! We are very fortunate to have such a great relationship, we have a lot of fun on our adventures together! Take care and thanks for watching 😊
That long iron bar is called a "shot bar" it's for moving heavy objects you need a fulcrum of course
Thanks for the info, much appreciated! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
What a great day at the museum canal! Kind Thanks and I’ll be tuning in later! More Good Luck! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania
Yes we did have a great day Davey Jo! Thanks for watching 👍
I love watching you pull old things out of the rivers! I almost wish I could be there! No more bombs!
Pleased to hear you are enjoying our videos! Thanks for watching 👍
Interesting finds! You should make a video of stuff you've cleaned up and kept, and what happens to all the rest of the finds afterwards.
Thank you for your comment, we have done a few clean up videos. Here’s a link to a Video we made fully restoring a BSA air rifle that we’d found in the canal czcams.com/video/HOb4FrPHUXk/video.html
I agree....I've been waiting g on them restoring a beautiful ornate swan neck lamp ..... don't know if it's done yet or they sold it but it was potentially best find ever !!!
@@meichong8278 hi we still haven’t restored the swan neck lamp, video will be uploaded when we do 👍
@@Magneticg Thanks
Great to see you back out, will you show the table pieces when you’ve restored them, and the cooking pot?
Hi Michelle, yes we will we just need to find the missing piece 👍
The table is a sowing machine table. The wheel is a flywheel that goes with it
Hello from the state of Alabama in the US. So glad to see y'all posting again. I think I binged watched just about all your other videos. It is amazing what y'all are finding. It is both fascinating and at times a little downright scary. It blows my mind some of the vintage pieces y'all pull out as well as things that could really hurt someone. I am on pins and needles waiting to see what comes up. LoL. I am looking forward to the next video. God bless y'all
Hi Catherine pleased to hear you are enjoying our videos! Magnet fishing is like a game of lucky dip, you never know what you will pull up next. That’s what makes it so interesting! Thanks for watching 👍
another watcher from alabama here.
From Alabama also! I enjoy watching these two or three, counting the camera lady. It is enjoyable listening to their running commentary. George is really enjoying this activity with his Dad and, I assume Mom. Looking forward to the next video.
@@maryguy5767 it is amazing what they pull out of those canals. It's always something exciting...lol..God bless
Catherine Engle, I am 70 yo and I have purchased a magnet and the accessories I need to go with it. Maybe these videos are hypnotic…lol. I think I would enjoy this and I have lots of water around me here in Alabama. I think I shall go for it. I’m not a CZcamsr but just a curious lady. I’m going to try it.🙃🙃🙃🙃😉
It was nice to see the two of you again. And I believe He’s grown at least 6 inches.
Hi Dawn it was good to get back out and yes he has grown at least 6 inches! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
Nice to see you guys back! At 11:45 I'm guessing the spike is a plum bob (pointed weight at the end of a plum line). That new magnet is a beast! Don't get it stuck to the side of bridge, it'll never come off! :)
Thank you for you comment, yes it could be a plum line we wasn’t sure what it could be. George did get his new magnet stuck a couple of times on the metal sides and it took a lot of persuasion to get it off! Hope you enjoyed the the video, thanks for watching 👍
Wow almost didn’t recognize George. He grew up during covid. Good finds
He’s grown loads just recently! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
Hello from Arizona, USA. I love watching your magnet fishing videos and can't wait to see what you are going to pull up next on the end of your magnet....especially vintage items from your part of the world. Old keys, tools, furniture...it all tells a story from the past!
Hi Caroline yes magnet fishing is a bit like lucky dip we never know what we will pull up next! Pleased to hear you are enjoying our videos, thanks for watching 😊
Do you ever show the items that you've cleaned up. Would love to see a video about you cleaning the items and some of your favourite cleaned up finds.
I want to see all the items cleaned up at the end of your videos. So interesting!
Hi Jen thanks for the input, it’s something we may look at doing in future videos. Here’s a link to a video we uploaded fully restoring an old BSA air rifle that we’d found in the canal czcams.com/video/HOb4FrPHUXk/video.html
I believe what you thought were bench ends or table sides were actually parts to an old sewing machine cabinet that used a foot petal to operate it, like the old Singers.
Hi yes it does look similar to a sewing machine base but it turned out that we’d found the base to an antique pub table. There was a pub opposite so maybe a disgruntled customer threw one in the water one day! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
My goodness, your lad has grown up so much. It’s a pleasure to watch you both. I’m so glad you are back. Thanks.
Thank you for your comment, yes George shot up recently! It was nice to be back out magnet fishing again. Thanks for watching 👍
Being in America, this is really interesting to see all the old artifacts. Those square nails that you find are amazing they’re all hand forged. I do some kind of display with them they’re so beautiful! Interesting video thank you so much!🇺🇸
Thank you for your comment, really pleased that you found what we were finding interesting! The square nails are nice to find, we actually find quite a few when we are magnet fishing. Thanks for watching 👍
A handsome dad and a handsome son.Good luck.
😊
I would love to see a follow up video of all the treasures cleaned.
Yes this is something we need to do more of as a channel. Did you see our video where we fully restored back to working order an old BSA air rifle that we found in the canal? Here’s a link to the video if you haven’t already watched it czcams.com/video/HOb4FrPHUXk/video.html
Socket set was the icing on the cake😉
Morning Don, yes it certainly was! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
Your son has grown so much since I've started watching 👀 keep up on the great videos!! One day when I can afford to get one of those mags I'll buy one from you guys 😉❤💯
Thank you for your comment, yes he’s grown loads! You should definitely give magnet fishing a go, give us a shout before you purchase a magnet and we’ll let you know the best ones to go for 👍
Thank you, I will definitely do that. God Bless you all
Hey Guys. Good to watch another vid. That spikey thing you were using to clean the wheel looks like a marlinspike used by sailors to undo tight knots and other knotty stuff. I felt sad to see the socket set. Someone must have been very unhappy to lose his tools. Boats often have a rounded cabin top to drain off heavy rain but it also means if you put anything on top it has a habit of sliding off and into the water. I guess that is what happened. Cheers!
It’s really good to hear from you, hope you are keeping well. We wasn’t sure what the spike was so we really appreciate your input. Yes I suspect the socket set did fall off a boat, they must have been gutted that day. Hope you enjoyed the video 👍
Happy to see you two found the socket set and will be able to use it. But yes sad for the one who lost it. Boats! The first place, loved to hear the birds. New magnet, you's are taking it to a new level. Congratulations on all your finds. Definitely quality time together. You're both as interested as the other. Thanks for sharing! Pleasure to watch! 🧲 Updated since the old days! 👍👍
Really have missed you two, here's hoping for more in the future.
We have missed being out and yes there will be plenty more videos in the future! Thanks for watching 👍

Love this site watching you and George. You have so much fun (especially when you 'christened' George with the perfume) and find amazing stuff. You don't over-dramatize your finds and do a good job cleaning up after yourselves. That new magnet is fantastic!
Glad you enjoy it!
Glad to see you both back. Stay safe. Cheers to you both!! 😊😊🏴🏴👍👍🇺🇸
It was good to get back out, we had a great day! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
That wheel looks like it might be a crank handle for a large valve, maybe steam pipe valve, or something else entirely. Looks like water/steam valves on Large ships, from b4 1960's? Maybe still using them today IDK. Or like the ballast valves on sub-marines during WW II? I could very well be wrong.
Its amazing what comes up on the magnets, whether there in the UK, or here in the US!! Its fascinating to see just what there is and what you great people remove from the waterways! You're doing everyone/everything a GREAT SERVICE! And get paid to boot!
Thanks for the info it’s much appreciated, we wasn’t really sure what the wheel could be! It is amazing what comes up with the magnets, we never know what we will pull out next! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
I was so glad to see this video pop up! I've really missed all of you!
Great to hear from you, we missed going out! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
The rake had it's day 👍
Absolutely!
You've found more brilliant objects in this one video than all the mag fishing I've seen in the past two years.
Thank you for your comment, pleased to hear you enjoyed our video! Thanks for watching 👍
right on right on gd to see u 2 back again ....
We were pleased to be back out! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
So glad to see you all back! Missed your videos…
We were pleased to be back out! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
I'm sure a lot of us who follow your channel would enjoy seeing a video of some of the more interesting items after you've cleaned them up! Watching from Idaho, USA. Keep up the dirty work! :)
Thank you for comment, we do have some videos on the channel of us restoring the items we find! Check out this video of ours where we fully restored back to working order an old BSA air rifle that we had found in the river. Here’s a link to it czcams.com/video/HOb4FrPHUXk/video.html
Love watching you guys. Always interesting finds. Your amazing!!!!
Hi Nancy thats great that you enjoy watching our videos! Take care Kev & George 😊
Yahoo! Welcome back. I'm happy to find this . Yes I am
Hi Ruth, pleased you found the video we hope you enjoyed it!
21:17 Hi!😊 Maybe that is a rug beater? You know hang the rug over a fence or balcony and beat the dust out of it! Really neat finds! Love it when the old stuff comes up!😀
Thank you for your comment, we love it when the old stuff comes up too! It could well have been a rug beater we wasn’t 100% sure what it was. Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
Great day! Loved the table.
Yes we did have a great day! Thanks for watching 😊
So cool watching a father and son hanging out with each other...just subscribed! My family is from Great Britain, circa early 1900’s. My grandmother tried to come across on the Titanic but she couldn’t get a ticket, thank God!
Your Grandmother had a lucky escape, someone was definitely watching over her that day! Thank you for subscribing, hope you enjoy our videos 👍
9:00 is one half actually one side of a treadle sewing machine, the bar is what the foot pedal sat on.
Hi yes it does look like a sewing machine table leg but we found out it’s an old pub table. There was a pub opposite to where we found it, we think a disgruntled punter threw it in one night! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
Don't blame it on the lockdowns. Scotty B and Nigel have been out and about, having a good time and finding lots of neat things. ;-)
Good to see you back in action. Lil' G needs to start doing some pull-ups and such to get in fighting form if he's gonna run with the big dogs. That magnet shouldn't be a problem for a growing boy.
Congrats on getting that socket set! I went out for my first magnet fishing expedition the other day and didn't get anything at all. Not even a pair of sunglasses or a fishing lure.
Thank you for your comment, we haven’t been out magnet fishing during any of the lockdowns we have kept away from everyone. The socket set was a great find and will clean up well. Keep magnet fishing you will soon start getting some finds. Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
Good job fellas! Nice to see you out again. Always enjoy watching you pull some amazing stuff from those canals!
Thank you for your comment, pleased to hear you enjoy watching our videos! Thanks for watching 👍
Watching you both opening the socket set occurred to me that magnetic fishing is like going mystery shopping : )
Hi Anne yes it absolutely is like that! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 😊
I do the same thing over here in the US. Sometimes you find junk; sometimes you find some gems. 👍 Downside is a Neodymium magnet that size will take off your finger if you're not careful.
Thank you for your comment, magnet fishing is like lucky dip you never know what you will pull up next, that’s what makes it so interesting! You are absolutely right you do have to be extremely careful with these big magnets, they could quite easily result in lost fingers if not used properly. Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
Awesome. Cool. Neat. Super. Terrific. Great
😊
Great to see you both back in business, would be interested to see how that socket set cleaned up. 👍
I think it will clean up really well, we will either upload a short video or put something on community tab when they’re cleaned. Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
So glad to see ;you again. More please! Regards.
Thank you for your comment, it was great to be back out! We will definitely be making more videos! Thanks for watching 👍
9:03 looks like a stand for a sewing machine 🤷🏼♂️ Singer Class 66 or something in that area….
Year 1910 😁👌🏻
Hi Michael yes it does look like a sewing machine table leg but it turned out to be a vintage pub table leg. There was a pub opposite to where we were fishing so it makes sense. Maybe a disgruntled customer threw one in the river! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
@@Magneticg
😆Yes that could happen!
You could set up that piece of bench in the garden & grow plants up it.
Hi Sarah, we found out that it’s an old pub table. We are hoping to return there sometime to try and find the missing piece and hopefully put the table back together 👍
Your rake? Kinda reminds me of the old rug beaters back in the 30's or so. Use one to hit the rug to remove dirt. Tiresome job beating rugs. 😊
Hi Mary yes it could well be for something like that, we wasn’t sure what it was. Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 😊
I found a stone on the beach with your CZcams on it. Decided to check it out. I’m hoping this is the right one
Wow that’s fantastic and yes it is the right channel!
Which beach did you find the stone on we left some on several. Hope you enjoyed your day on the beach 👍
The both of you are absolutely amazing! I love watching your adventures..... Please keep the videos coming.
Hi Janet that’s great to hear that you are enjoying our adventures! Yes definitely lots more to follow 😊
That was funny i had a good laugh over that one, send it up river...
🤣🤣🤣
10:41 That beam would go lower actually, it would probably be around the center or all the way to the bottom.
11:36 Could be from a wheelbarrow for example, but could also be from some sort of machine that used a belt.
You might want to get your son to train a bit, else he keeps asking for your help haha.
The ladies won't mind seeing him with some more muscles either.
Thanks for all the information it’s much appreciated! Yes I think he could do with a bit of training it’s always me having to get him unstuck 💪🧲
I came across your channel and now I'm hooked! Love what you both do for the environment. Great socket set find today also!
Hi Carol, pleased to hear you are enjoying our videos! Yes the socket set was a great find!
Glad to see you guys back again, great old finds. And very restorable, hope to more videos soon guys

Great to see you guys back out there!! Some really wonderful finds! Would love a video of some of the wrought iron pieces being cleaned up.
Thank you for your comment, yes we did have some wonderful finds! We are going to go back and try and find the missing part of the table and hopefully put it back together. We will definitely do a restoration video if we manage to find the piece. Thanks for watching 👍

So good to see you guys back! Some great finds there. Hope you find the missing part of the leg for the table! That magnet sure is the business. Didn’t see any ghosts in the beer garden then? 🤣😂🤣
Hi Steve it was good to be back out! I’m hoping to find the missing piece of the pub table I’d really like to restore it. The magnet really is next level, I do believe it will pull twice as much out of the river than anything else on the market. We didn’t see Stanley either, quite disappointing. Hope you enjoyed the video 👍
@@Magneticg I did enjoy the video, very much! Fingers crossed for finding the missing piece of the pub table!
No ghosts in the beer garden, but I have seen some spirits on the tables though.

You no it's mad what comes out ov some ov these canals, some times you bring in old history, but saying that fairplay to you and your dad , 👍👍
Hi Bryan it certainly is mad what we pull out! Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍

Love your vids and your great finds! Great fun and fellowship with your boy!
Pleased you enjoyed the video Marcia we have a lot of fun when we are out together! Thanks for watching 👍
What kind of knot do you use to tie the magnet on? Hope those are just fish cleaning knives lost. That is the side of a sewing machine cabinet. Singer, there would be two sides a center and a pedal. A wheel from a pully... the sharp pointed bit is a plumb bob? The pole would have benn used when the were clearing rock to build the wall you are standing on. That was part of a winch. They get dropped when getting in and out of the boat? Or dock.
Thanks for the info on our finds it’s much appreciated! We use a polomar knot on our magnets. Hope you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 👍
