    What are you thoughts of the new G2 camera? Enough in there to make you want to buy one?

      Wow Alex, I was just about to pull the trigger on the 6K Pro but since I own variable ND filters for my EF lenses already... hmm... I really want to know how bright the screen is and since they only mention the 6K Pro's brightness you are probably right that it's not as bright. There is so much info here I had to go back and watch this a few times! 😀Just saw this from Blackmagic: However, the 6K G2 adds... a 5" tiltable touchscreen LCD (at a lower brightness than the 6K Pro, however).

    What I truly love about the G2 is the Gyro Stabilization. I was gungho on getting the GH6 over the 6KPro because of its IBS...but now that the G2 has the Gyro Stabilization, my mind did an instant REFRESH! 😊

    Thanks for breaking the news.I love my the original Pocket 6K and if I were to add another camera it would be the Pocket 6K Pro. Personally, I would have preferred a Pocket 4K G2 with EF mount instead. However, from a supply chain perspective it makes sense to use the 6K Pro bodies. Like you, I am still hoping for a box form factor from BM.

    • @kevinadedokun
      @kevinadedokun Před 2 lety

      @@volt416 I will admit, it is time to move on from the EF mount. What advantages does other mounts provide for your workflow?

    • @volt416
      @volt416 Před 2 lety

      Kevin Adedokun I like using speedboosters with my lenses. Obviously since the 6k has a s35 sensor you don’t really need to use one, so this would mainly be if the new 4K still had a mft sensor. The bigger reason though is I own some of those budget sirui anamorphics & other mirrorless lenses that need the shorter flange to work. Overall mirrorless mounts just allow a large set of lenses to be used on the camera (with adapters of course) and I like the flexibility.

    Would love to see you test the DJI LiDAR Range Finder (RS) -- at roughly $700 US, it would be the only reason I'd purchase another Cinema Camera that doesn't have continuous autofocus. It's such a convenience when shooting low aperture or dynamic scenes to not have a person dedicated to pulling focus -- ie C70/FX3

    When a camera is not the pro version and you still call it "pocket" you should have IBIS. I understand no AF and I also understand how a pro version would not have IBIS but sadly the lack of IBIS makes me lean toward GH5 M2 or GH6.

      @@dannychow2568 Cine cams generally don't have AF. Then again, Canon and RED has managed to do it so it may happen? Then again AI development for the AF isn't cheap. It also seems to be a downside to rely on AF if you want to get hired on big sets, according to DPs like Matteo Bertoli. czcams.com/video/6vx-17KNrsQ/video.html&ab_channel=MatteoBertoli
