I adore her beyond words!
A great everyday receipt. Simple and easy. Like her kitchen too.

Love this lady. Edit-- polio as a child not arthritis. She is strength and grace.
Wow I'd totally forgotten about those toughened glass pans! Nice little time piece there, though probably best they remain in the past - all kinds of practical and safety disadvantages. Fashions have certainly changed since the 80s (as have the recipes!) but Mary herself has changed surprisingly little.
Wonderful lady. At today’s cost of electricity simmering a stock for 4 hours is a no no 😂
Love Mary Berry
I love Mary.
Those brown glass pans were the "in" thing at that time. I still have a couple that my mum bought. Just a fad as everything sticks in them. I wonder if that was Marry Berry's own kitchen at the time? It seems to be on location?
🇬🇧❤️ love Veg soup 🍲, with Tiger 🐅 🍞 bread, or any bread with butter . 🤤😋😉
Vegetable soup with beef dripping and chicken stock.
I had those pots in a raspberry pink…..loved them, but everything did stick!
I had that tupperware cup!
I never realised bones were vegetables.
Her Wikipedia profile is really interesting. More than television competent, but Delia was media savvy from the start.
Why are the non-vegetarians ranting about this soup, saying that vegetarians and vegans will be offended? For goodness sake, the vegetarians and vegans will adapt the soup, using vegetable stock, etc., stop ranting, and attacking them. I am intelligent enough to know when to adapt. If something uses chicken broth or bone broth, I use vegetable broth as a substitute. Crikey, can’t people just get on with it and stop nit-picking!! Just enjoy the video, and stop going on YT and other platforms and criticising trivialities.
Why fry the veges? Why peel the carrots?
I think Mary was born old !
the comments are very entertaining. several vegans offended. it's a vegetable soup, not a vegetarian or vegan soup. meat eaters like veggie soup too. it's got all the benefits of veggies, and all the benefits of animal protein. and all the flavour.
Pork bones are too fatty but pork fat in the form of rinds is fine plus butter and the fat from the top of the stock???
