In Philippines we called Caramel Custard as Leche Flan.

Yes this is what it’s called in many countries, including all over south America. It’s often called just ‘flan’ and people buy boxes of ‘flan mix’ in supermarkets.

Ok I'm Mexican, we don't EVER eat such a thing near what Mary prepared. We don't use mascarpone. We don't use coriander seeds. We don't use cheddar. We don't bake meat. We seldom use ground beef for guisados. And we NEVER use those fresh red chilies.

Putting all that in the bag is a pointless waste of plastic

The purpose is to make those veges coated with oil evenly. It's much convenient.

How do you know it was wasted? I’d just rinse it out and use it again e.g for dough proving.

Using that bag for the soup is completely unnecessary
