I am small and if I got a dollar for every time someone mentioned that to me I'd be richer than Mary Berry!!!! The majority of people though don't mean anything by it. Having Mary on GBBO was absolutely fantastic. As for her comments being labeled fat shaming, I find that pretty ridiculous, they were made in a fun way and not intended to be hurtful. If they were interpreted that way that's on someone else. I've seen a few episodes of the non-BBC version and they are not as good without her and the other hosts Mel and Sue. As for Gordon Ramsay ... what an ass. If I wanted to watch TV that bad I would have kept American cable.

I think you can either think of it as fat shaming but there are much worse things that chefs have said on TV and I don’t think we need to store it so much. I’m not thin and I’m not obese but I would say that I’m pretty hefty as a person and I thought it was funny. I think that a healthy relationship with food is so important and it’s OK to have a treat.
I do think her comments abt weight Don't Carry Any after all it was only done 3 times. However Mr Ramsey can gas on in an almost Blue & offensive tone many times each show which seems to be what the audience tunes in to see & hear.
