I know absolutely nothing about Mario Kart meta, nor it's inner workings and meta. I seem to remember dodging blue shells with a mushroom was possible in older games, but I thought they removed it in this one. Was super amazing to see you dodge one like that. Must be a pretty tight timing window?
Its tight but pretty easy with practice. You just have to wait for the blue shell to be descending. There's a visual cue, which is when the blue shell stops showing you its belly
As a green shy guy main I see this video as an absolute win, I have only found your account yesterday but I have already watched like 20 video's. You're videos are too addicring.
Today I learned that the Canadian/US game has a different word for the grip stat. I thought that everywhere called the traction stat grip, not just UK/Europe. I love watching your shorts and videos - I learn so much about the best techniques. Great video keep up the good work.
Everyone seems to call it traction, so I assumed the US version also calls it traction? Interesting
@Shortcat I'm in England and its referred to in the game as grip - I assume that the rest of Europe has that same terminology. Its odd because traction is a word that is used in conversation in Europe and everyone has access to Google even if they didn't know what it meant. Not sure why it's been dumbed down for us. Weird. I'm still binging your videos and have quickly realised how much worse I am at Mario kart than I originally thought haha
In my opinion the cutest combo (actually why I use it) is L. Blue Yoshi, Biddy Buggy, Azure Rollers, an Cloud Glider. The cloud glider is to make it feel like the biddy buggy is actially flying with its little wing boosters. And the biddy bugs are really cute. Also, spinys have cute little faces, not related to Mariokart, but I like them.
Ok so I have three options.
Isabelle + city Tripper + Leaf Tyres + Peach Parasol (Animal actually crossing)
Baby Mario + Yoshi Bike + Cushion + Cloud Glider (the yoshi island)
Inkling Girl (green) + Sport Bike + Cyber Slick + Plane Glider (Inkling girl looks cute on anything.)

Shy Guy + Yoshi Bike + Roller + Cloud Glider would be my pick. Yoshi Bike is ADORABLE with its little arms which “help” you drive (arm down when drifting, arms out like wings when flying, etc.) plus the idea of Shy Guy & Yoshi, who are normally adversaries, working together is very wholesome :)
My favorite cute combo is White Shy Guy/City Tripper/Rollers/Cloud Glider, it’s got a great red/white color scheme and Shy Guy on his little Vespa is so cute. It’s the combo I used to 3 Star most of 200cc Grand Prix.
one of my favourite cute combos is Toadette in the W25 Silver Arrow, on rollers with the flower glider - Toadette just loos like a little kid in those ride on cars, and with the big flower on it, makes it even more adorable 🥹

SHS, for me, is like… so satisfying, for me? Idrk why. It just feels really good to get a trick boost combo or spin off the railings or whatever. I think it’s the satisfaction that makes me enjoy it.
My main is Light-Blue Shy Guy, Teddy Buggy, Monster Tires, and MKTV Parafoil. This combo is extremely cute, and pretty decent for racing. You could also switch Shy Guy with Light-Blue Yoshi, it's just as cute.
