Nissan need to release a new Silvia soon and bring it to the US market. NOT watered down of course like 240s were stateside.

They're definitely going to have a successor to the GT-R, but it will be a hybrid obviously. ~200hp 4cyl with at least 300 more coming from electric motors, AWD, and hopefully not have a GT-R badge.

Thank you so much for your shots of thd streets of Tokyo. I almost broke down crying after my 10 years of living there, i miss it terribly. But I am so fortunate to have had that opportunity on an almost unlimited budget. I have had a good life!!!

Hey Emelia, I would recommend a Panasonic. GH4, G85, or G7. Probs wanna wait on the GH5/s. The A7sII may be useful if you do a TON of low-light shooting but I don't think the over heating issues are worth it. I have used the GH4, and just got my own G7 a little bit ago. Really good workhorses suitable for many different shooting conditions. I believe Antoine Truchet shoots Panasonic (he has his own channel) and has been working with Mr. Ben Brown as of late, so that would be a good way to kind of see what they are capable of. GH4 has a lot of shooting capabilities...

This was worth it, Emelia. We tune into your vlog to see YOU as much as to see car stuff. And this was a big trip- a big adventure. Heck yeah it was worth it to see this and sort of get to enjoy your trip with you. I say go for it doing this daily vlog stuff, it's awesome.
Nissan is due to refresh the Z car and have a GT86/Miata RF competitor. They just need to most of the bigger manufacturers refresh their lineup every 3-4 years anyway.
I personally think the daily style is pretty cool! I think you should totally keep it up! Also, SHIBUYA SCRAMBLE!!!!!!

Should've made a new S chassis and take one of their smaller turbo engines (looking at you juke) make sure it makes more power than the GT86 and you're golden.

I love the vlogs! Also I think I agree that Nissan will most likely go electric for their future performance cars. However, I'd love to see a new sports car to compete with Subaru and Toyota. Maybe a new Z since the 370's have been out for about 9 years now.
I've said it before and I'll say it again. I just like watching you in these videos. Your smile makes me feel happy. You traveled a long way to get to Japan so stop worrying about vlogging and enjoy yourself. ( that sounds kind of bossy , didn't it? Sorry)

I still think Nissan has some performance cars in their future line up. Also think they might do hybrid to boost power before they go full electric. I also think they will have their full electric economy line soon. Markets for both are pumping.

Two years ago, Nissan showed a concept of the new GTR. It's going to be be a hybrid sportscar with approximately 800 hp.

WEll nissan are busy with the development of a replacement for the R35 and stated there will be electronic motors must like the NSX, 918, i8 etc.
The future of driving is becoming what I've feared: Less driver input, more computer driving.

At least all the ones I saw were when I was stationed there. Um and the r35 gtr was a prototype in 99-00 I believe. Of course it wasn't a production car till 07 08. I honestly hope they come out with another S chassis would be badass
High production performance will likely go twin turbo 4 banger following the market to see who can make the most power out of 4. Would rather see a 2 seater with a turbo flat 6 six for a back rest. Corvette will likely go there next version. Can't do high volume elec. for US yet .Not enough infrastructure plug-ins.

They just did a refresh of the r35 they will not come out with anything for a couple years then they will drop a hybrid replacement to the r35 like the current nsx

get the gh5, besides the focusing issues its the best camera right now, in body image stabilization. watch Jon Olsson's vlogs if you want to see how awesome it is. I think its the same one Casey has been using lately.

I’m hoping if Nissan comes up with another sports car, it would be a Z. It could be powered by the vr30ddtt that’s currently in the Q50/60, and if they want to put a Nismo badge on it, the “Red Sport” variant is also available. They could gain back some consumer interest with the new turbocharged engines, and the aftermarket would build some wild creations with it as well; imagine a turbo kit for a new Z NOT costing the price of a used HR Z33. Also, being able to just swap an exhaust, an fmic and new intake piping, larger injectors and fuel pump, and a tune to see 500+whp on a stock block (assuming it’s strong enough to handle it for more than a dyno tune and a month, or less, on the street.)
In summation a new Z with a 300+hp regular version, and a 400+hp Nismo version. Since the new Z35 would be turbocharged anyone interested in modifying wouldn’t have to pay $10k+ for a turbo kit like one would with the Z34 (or G37). Also, I don’t think a Z like that would cannibalize sales from the current or future GT-R, because some tuning companies are pushing beyond (I think, not too sure) 1,800hp on their demo, and some customer cars.

Honestly I worry about the performance style based cars for any makes at this point. I know companoes are still making them, and hyper cars are doing some crazy things, but in society it seems like they are falling a bit out of style.
It seems to me like sports cars are going back to being dreams and thoughts and most people are looking more for the luxury commuter car. Obviously there are still niches of people looking more at the performance than at the gizmos and gadgets, but in a world were the advertising last heavier on the WiFi in your car, the touchscreen tablet style center console, and the computerized features for safety and luxury, I can't help but wonder how long until the sporty style and performance base becomes so much the minority that it just falls away for my companies.

Renault has turned over their Formula E program to the Nissan side, so I'd be willing to side with the idea that that will be their main focus moving forward with production car plans. It is a sad era for car people. Unfortunately the masses will turn over to electric as time goes on, despite what we want to believe.

It will be all electric cars, here in the uk we already on the second wave of phasing out old cars inc many classics. There are being ban from city's and if you most drive it then you have to pay more to do so.
2040 is when they banning petrol and diesel cars in the uk.. so with many cars switching and working on electric cars as there new goal as that's what the market is going to be. Even motorsport has phased in electric cars!
We need another S-Chassis to compete with the FRS/BRZ, Miata, etc. But who knows what the new CEO will do.

Sorry. The largest differentiating piece of engineering is typically the engine.
So your telling me a 4 cylinder Honda engine is a hell of a break in engineering? They are cheaper to build and eat lambs, gtrs, as well as v8s all day
The GT-R just received a refresh, so a full redesign isn't coming soon.
If the new Leaf redesign does well, they might want to expand the Leaf into its own all-electric lineup like the Prius hybrid. They replaced the Juke with the Kicks. They discontinued the Quest minivan. Nissan also bought a majority stake in Mitsubishi, which consists of a few SUVs and the Mirage... So, they've done a bunch of reorganization. Compact SUVs and hatchbacks are the future, unfortunately.
I'd say that Nissan isn't content with being the #3 Japanese automaker, but they aren't going to make more money by focusing on roadsters and supercars. If the NSX is any indication, a Skyline hybrid isn't going to do any real numbers. An all-electric GT-R to go up against the BMW i8 would make some interesting headlines, but it's doubtful. Instead, the most logical move would be to build up their all-electric lineup, then put up some R&D into an all-electric supercar.

Agreed. Sad, too; the age of Gasoline is closing, so Muscle Cars will be a thing of the past, a lost art. But, better for the planet if all cars are Electric soon. And some Trucks, but I bet that will take much longer to switch all of those over to Electric.
We didnt enter the electric age, merely a "transition" age its gonna take a while before gas cars are gone. Know that majority of cars still in production and sold are ICE and cars usualy last 20 years and maybe even 30.
But there will never be Muscle Cars again.
