    Just got a Metron and these videos are so well made that i can find how to do most things really quickly. I like the idea of shorter and targeted videos. It makes things easier for me. Thanks everyone at WMD for making these videos. It shows how serious you are about customer support.

      So glad they help! The series is definitely easier to get around than a huge monster video. It was easier to make them this way too ;)

    Thanks for the vids and that performance at Perfect Circuit was tight. Sold my beloved Varigate 8+ for this gem. Will report back as soon as I've had a few weeks with it. Yes yes I kept my Voltage Block. My patches are very performance-based, so it looks like I've made a good choice!

      @@WMDevices thanks Alex, great sequencer and fun to use! I have a serious question: when I save a session to memory, it only lets me load the last saved session and I cannot select a past saved session to load. How do I get past this issue? Like if i save 4 sessions: S01, S02, S03, S04 how would I load S01 or S02?

    • @WMDevices
      @WMDevices  Před 3 lety +1

      @@GuitarsAndSynths Go to memory, press the slot you want to load, and then press load twice. Metron will not load blank sessions as to not do it by accident, so saving a blank session is adviced. If you're having trouble past this withloading, send me an email with a short video showing the issue and we can take care of it.

      @@WMDevices thank you so much! I am still learning the sequencer and coming back to it after healing up from a broken ankle/foot injury. I need to buckle down and just focus on learning it.

    I really like this sequencer. It can do so much . So how about a re-issue of the user manual so it contains all the necessary information? Even with my Elektron devices, I didn’t have to google that much to find infos about basic settings/ issues. I’m writing this with love as I’m a fan of your brand ❤

    Okay in one of these Metron videos, Alex you state that you think in pairs of instruments and seem to have a fairly personal intuitive flow for how you make beats on the fly that seems to work well. Any chance you could make a video explaining that aspect? Modules are cool, but developing a system that allows me to quickly drift towards a new "thing" is the crux of my experience thus far ;)

    • @WMDevices
      @WMDevices  Před 5 lety +5

      Absolutely! I have a couple more tutorials to edit and upload and then I plan to do some quick tricks and workflow suggestion videos. This can be the first!

    Looks like a fun beat making sequencer for modular without the menu diving of other sequencers. Can it do ratcheting of sequenced notes? I want to make generative patterns.

    Looks great, but red and pink aren't the best colours for differentiating between on and off. If only 'on' was green, would be so much easier to follow.

    How come WMD choose not to use a stop/start sequencer button on the Metron? I find it confusing having to press the Record+Reset button combo to do this task. Otherwise a great sequencer!

    • @WMDevices
      @WMDevices  Před 3 lety +2

      In Eurorack, it is so common for people to use external clocks, we figured that most people would have a different clock source (an at first, Metron was designed to require external clock) they would use and that giving a button dedicated to start stop was not necessary and leaving it out would save panel real estate.

    Hi. Is there a way to make accents like on jomox drum machines? Cheers

    • @WMDevices
      @WMDevices  Před 5 lety +3

      Hi there! Of course! As this is a sequencer for Eurorack it's as simple as routing a track to the Accent input on the module you want to use. In this video, I am using one track for the Accent input on my WMD Chimera module which is making the tambourine like sounds.

    It would be super helpful if before you started this video, you would have shown how you have the patch cables.
    I like to follow along with my Metron but that is impossible without first knowing how to connect the patch.
    To be the best tutorial please assume we know nothing about how you have it patched.
    Other then this very important information that is missing, its as n excellent video.

    Why are the track indicators skipping a measure here and there? Every two or three measures, I think.

    • @WMDevices
      @WMDevices  Před 5 lety +3

      Those are jump cut points. I have a hard time talking to the camera and making my point in one sentence so every once and a while I have to make edits and will even do so mid-sentence and string two takes together. When the camera is on my face, it results in me looking like I have a crazy twitch. When the camera is on the module it will look like its skipping... I thought it was pretty obvious, sorry for not addressing that in the video!

    at czcams.com/video/UL1qMyRWgys/video.html, i don't understand the term 'parameter sequencing', and why the Metron needs something like the Arpitekt for instance. Can s/o clarify that?

    • @GuitarsAndSynths
      @GuitarsAndSynths Před 3 lety

      you can use the new WMD Voltera and Axxent modules that came up recently for pitch/cv quantized sequencing and accents.
