Nice to see a millennial kid appreciating a classic.Hard to see this nowadays.
He even dressed up for the part. Really good presentation.
In late 1962 I ordered a Gran Turismo Hawk! The dealer advised me of some coming options that would soon be available! Seems he had a mole in South Bend! What I eventually wound up with was a '63 with an optional R-3 supercharged 304 CID Avanti engine, front disc brakes, 4 speed, beefed up suspension, and other goodies. The Avanti engines had some modifications not found on the stock engines such as special camshaft, valve springs, etc! As I recall there were less than 100 built with that engine option! Car was very stable at high speeds, held the road unlike anything I had ever driven. It would peg the 160 MPH speedometer, Had it over 30 years, put over 240,000 miles on it. Sold it in '93, still running. Been kicking myself every since!
As a locksmith of 20+ years, I can state that the lock covers were there to keep dirt out of the locks, so the locks would work with the key, regardless of the weather. I wish all cars had them.
Is this an audition for the remake of Grease?
You gotta appreciate the kids enthusiasm and sideburns!
This guy truly loves and appreciates his rare car and I'm sure takes great care of it!
Very refreshing to see a young person with a deep love of classic American automobiles. Parenting done right. Well done.
Wow, I never heard of this car until now!
I am very aware of this Model have studied Study Baker some over the Years they were a Company that made High Quality Wagons.. I have been to their Museum in South Bend IN.. They are still in Business they built the AM General Hummer Same Company .. The CO pulled the Plug on Car Manufacturing and left their Dealers in Limbo.. Bad Business Move..
Young man has good taste-
I have never seen a person more in love with their car than this. I can't even begin to imagine how overjoyed he must've been when his dad helped pitch in for the car.
What a great video!! I love the kids delivery!
I live in South Bend, my grandfather worked in the Studebaker plant and I learned to drive in a Studebaker =))
Young Dude....That was a very professional, eloquent presentation!
“Sort of working AM radio” love that he has kept it original.
That was very well presented, great job
FOR THE LOVE OF GOD PLEASE TELL ME HE HAS HIS HAIR LIKE THAT 24/7! Wonderful car and a well deserved owner!
Really superb narration and presentation. I predict that you have a bright future. A high school buddy had a similar one that we used to fill with friends and take to the beach. It performed well and we had a blast in it. That was a very long time ago.
