you didn't mention anything new to me except for the press release. but it's good to have a refresher, thank you for that. and congrats for such a succesful launch & business. i'm nowhere close to launching my business, but atm i am 90% sure i want to go for it. it will take me at least 6 months, though, i am pretty sure. and not only making but especially selling is a little nerve-wrecking to me only bc i want to know everything there is to know, i don't want anything to go wrong. i don't want to make any mistakes by using the wrong scent, warning labels and what not. this part would probably be easier if i'd start a clothing brand. i'm scared about doing smth wrong just as much as i am excited about the idea of launching a candle business sounds. ahhhh. 😅
also, i love that you're working on being sustainable. i've been doing research the past 1-2 weeks and my goal would be to purchase all the materials locally but wow some of it is really hard to find or expensive. so that's also someting that's been stressing me out. and i am nowhere close to selling candles yet 😂once again, thank you, congrats, and i'll probably be checking out more videos! 🤍

That video is course on product launch strategy! Thank you so much for posting it. If I understand correctly, you did a pre-launch one week before the actual launch (with limited quantities) which you promoted on social media and that was available for everybody (did you also had a time limit for that launch?) and then you did an exclusive 24hrs pre-launch day launch that you promoted only to your email list (how effective was that?), am I correct? Thank you in advance for the clarification!

I am preparing my web shop now and before going live, I need to test shipping with my shipping partners to make sure that the webshop is working properly. Now my question is to wait until I luanch the web shop and then launch my Instagram, or launch my instagram and then keep the audience waiting for releasing the shop? What you did was to launch your website after your pre-launch on the same day of the main launch. But did you have your website link in your Bio? and how did you manage the fact that the visitos cannot buy anything until your website is up? Thank you

Thanks so much for sharing! I've really enjoyed following your growth and it was warming to hear that you started from scratch and didn't tell many people. My concern has been whether or not its still possible to do a successful launch day if you're not someone with a large "influence"
I'd also like to hear more about the influencers you chose. I do have a question- did you provide financial compensation as well to the influencers? Were you able to find influencers who were willing to receive the product as compensation for their review?

We haven’t paid any influencers so far! I think it’s hugely due to how you frame your email (which we will get into when we film) and being very honest and open about your brand. It’s definitely still possible! We were on socials for 3 weeks before we started telling our friends, we basically started with 0 followers on every platform and worked our way up. Good luck 🤍🤍

Unfortunately we don’t have much experience with that as we’re a relatively new brand! But will definitely consider it once we’ve been in the market for a longer time :) definitely don’t give up though! 🤍

Do you post photos/videos on IG feed during the pre-launch or after launching your products officially?
We started posting on IG twice a day, 1 month before launching and then posted once a day after we introduced all our scents
Would you tell us more about your sample kit strategy?
We didn’t have a specific ‘strategy’ to the sample kit, we were very lucky that our tiktok introducing the sample kit went semi viral, and 300+ people signed up to our mailing list because of the tiktok wanting to buy the sample kit. Then when we grew on Instagram, same thing happened when we posted about the kit. It’s one of our most popular products because of the price point and offering. Hope that helps!

About 30 of each scent :)
Really admire your content but didn’t you ladies hire a PR agency? It’s so easy to get press and get features in publications as it is their job to get your business featured. Myself having a family member being in a major fashion/beauty publication industry I’m quite familiar how this works. Publications get thousands of products from businesses like yours and trying to get their attention is very slim especially if you are new. Within a matter of just a few months you guys get featured in a press is not really realistic unless you have a connection or hire a PR which costs thousands of dollars which many can’t afford when starting a small business. It’s a smart decision for any businesses which can be very beneficial and while I love your brand and genuinely wish you and other small businesses succeed I wish there was more transparency in this video.
Hi Jenni, thanks for your comment on our video. This video was about all the strategies we undertook prior to launching, which did not include a PR agency. We actually never hired a PR agency until 3 months after we launched our business, by using the revenue we received from sent. It was also not the best strategy for our business which we discussed quite openly in our FAQ video.
Joanne comes from a PR background after studying it in university so she was able to write a press release and send it to various media outlets prior to launch - that’s how we got how first press feature. All media releases, press conversations, influencer relations were done purely by us because we couldn’t afford a PR agency. You can watch our influencer strategy video where we openly discuss how we did it.
