Now you really do look like Elias from The Ancient Magus' Bride.
Character development almost make's Horus likable but Slaves To Darkness is simply incredible, good video sir Emperor willing you will make a new video or an update.

Horus is a tragic anti-villain in many respects, as is Lorgar (to a lesser extent).
But I still weep the most for Magnus. He wanted *so much* to remain loyal, and yet at every turn Tzeentch and even the galaxy's own sick perversity turned every hand he could play against him to force the noble Primarch further and further down a path or reluctant damnation...

Russ didn't know Horus was corrupted and Horus was the warmaster, he told Russ that the emperor changed his orders to kill Magnus instead of arresting him, that's Just Horus and Chaos being smart.
Couldn't agree more. Magnus's story is the most heart breaking and tragic amongst the traitors.
Wow, I didn't expect this for a video in this series, but good idea since he's arguably one of the two most important figures in 40K lore.

We actually don't have a fight scene between the emperor and Horus, and if seeing a random dude die would make him go super saiyan then why didn't seeing sangy dead do the same thing?

Why did Erebus and the Chaos Gods think “the Emperor is hurting us” was a persuasive argument? They’re just another xenos race, whose alleged extinction at the hands of The Emperor should elicit hardly a shrug from Horus.
It goes much further than that. The gods convinced me that the Emperor stole his power from them. They had also instilled into me the lie that the Emperor was trying to make himself a god, and they tapped into my insecurity that my Legions and I were to be thrown away at the earliest convenience, something that was amplified by me not being able to get a straight answer out of him.

Are corrupted marines aware what they have become? It's hard to think that nobody is selfaware enough to see that things start to go a little insane if people sing and all around them go on a murder spree and stuff like that.
I mean, didn't Horus see what he has done to his legion and allies? Before his death I mean..
in the current kinda outdated account of the showdown between horus and the emperor yeah he realizes what he's done just as the emperor is erasing his soul from existence. But for the space marines it would take them many years in the warp before they would go so far as to become walking fetid drones or beings who had their mouth and throat replaced with a boom box.

I'd always thought the word was pronounced 'an-ath-e-meh', as a derivative of Anathema (since the weapon became the specific anathema to it's chosen victim).
I think the word is a portmanteau of Anathema and Athame (a type of ritual knife)

Q: black rage is caused by death of Sanguinius. Question is how it is possible that Horus witnessed Sanquinius killing one of his own who succumbed to black rage?
Horus saw Sanguinius kill a Blood Angel that was suffering from the Red Thirst.

22:20 this would suggest that Russ didn't kill the 2nd and 11th Primarchs after all. If he couldn't kill Horus after all the shit he did then why would he kill the other two? Plus suggesting the Emperor could heal Horus would mean the Unknown Primarchs didn't fall to Chaos. If the Emperor could heal Horus of Chaos then he could the others as well.
