You probably already know this, but one trick to use when trying to traverse difficult terrain is to toggle to combat mode and "crab walk" uphill etc. It works much better than the normal walk or run. I've even cheesed my way over a hip height fence for example, since the combat stance can really test the physics of the game.
Lol yeah this actually can work really well when you want to get through somewhere. It's a little unpredictable
What a great playtrough! soo nice to watch. Two things was missing, 1. the socket flamberg like 2h sword from the marked. it is amazing. 2. the brush. just the brush to clean all the cloth and armor, make it shine.
9:25 the mace only works with a blue crystal. orange crystal only works in the Decorated Greatsword for now (you said in a comment you found it in a previous playthrough), but pretty sure it's only cosmetic cause it does not drain power from the crystal.
21:30 for me one the knight that use Thaumaturgy was in that room fighting all the guys, but the doors are closed, interesting.
24:45 this helmet give you immunity to mind spells so no mind control. it's mentioned in one of Corlian's note way back in lvl 3 i think. I would keep that in my inventory, we all know what is coming in the futur. I'm not gonna lie i don't like this, enemies using Force spells, find. But mind spells.....
When it come to secrets, there are 2 that really matter in lvl 8. Here a few hints.
-For the first one: There is no way i made it all the way here and there is nothing in that room.
-For the second one (someone mentioned a special set or armor hidden in lvl 8 in the comments) So the hints i'll give you for this one are:
-The thumbnail of your video: lvl 5 Crossroads (and no you don't need to go back there)
-The storage of knowledge is empty. The force will be with you, always.
I couldn't imagine mind spell on your character but on your follower like fear and your undead being turned against you. Therefore, be a helmet for companions?

I've watched it and decided to play the game, and it was very helpfull when I felt stuck.
Loved the game.
There is a secret Thaumaturge knight armor set with a night vision helmet in level 8 behind some bookshelves that you might want to check out.
It's northwest of the area were you fought the knight in a room accessible through some parkour with a desk and a chasm in front of it, the bookshelves are behind it.
Also there is a secret room north of the map with a scepter that nullifies the negative effects of Corlian's helmet

@@GreyBeardGamingYT oh, there is also a shortcut that let's you get around to the crossroad/foundry entrances without having to exit the map, it's near the Golem's workshop locked door.

@@GreyBeardGamingYT It's a very nice level, but I was kinda bummed that they toned down the horror aspect that was present in 5.5, 7 and 7.5.
I really wish they at least add three more levels with more diverse monsters/mutants to fight. and maybe a bossfight with the red growth creature.
@@guidoferrari5415 well, from the Dev's comments and their recent video, their first video in 4 years. It seems like there will be one more level to exanima. So I guess we'll have to see what we have in store there.
Man that was excellent watching the series over the past 2 days. One of the kewlest games out there. Some of those fights were so good! Woot Woot!! Cant wait for more to show up!

My Derrin is max leveled and can wield almost anything with ease.

i feel like the helmet might just turn off any other magic aswell, since you encounter a dude thats using magic right after, would at least make sense from a game design perspective

the thaumer enemies can still use force thaum abilites while you wear the helmet. By the way, equipping the sceptre after you put on the helmet lets you use thaum.
i think that special helm is anti mind control vs more magic mobs. thanks for the walkthrough.
I started playing hellmode because it felt like there weren't enough enemies

That's a low bar not hard to be better than that game
Maybe you already know this but at this level you can find an "epic" version of the armor of the "eldrich knight", the helmet have night vision too, I think it's the V3 of the night vision helmet ^^

Dumb question but is there anything special or socketable about either the mage knights armor or the bladmasters armor?
No dumb questions really the game isn't very clear about this sort of thing. No though not that I know of.
what happend to the power armor from floor 6 and where is Darin?
Solid question! I went and got him about 10 mins in after exploring one side of level 8. The power armor takes a gem to run, I find it kinda OP and kinda annoying so I left it behind for safe keeping.
What this walkthrough taught me is that I went from level 3 to 4 to 5 trying to explore and ended up on 8… no wonder I died that run. Those eldritch knights were terrifying to me. Ran into both lightning guy and the power shell guy, watched them slay Derrin, then died horribly.
Lol yeah the lightning guys nuts. Cool seeing what kinda powers we'll likely get in other thalm trees
