@@dunnadidit nobody is questioning the image quality of this. It’s an incredible sensor. And great that it’s available at a “cheaper” price point but I don’t think it should be in a ZV camera. A cheaper, video-focussed, camera in an A7iv quality body (without EVF) and priced similarly would have made more sense. Essentially, just strip back the A7siii without an EVF but using the same, quality materials. Then you have A7iv hybrid (more photo leaning) and A7… (more video leaning). The FX line is priced just right. The ZV-E10 is £800. The ZV-E1 is £2350!! It just doesn’t make sense. The ultimate Dadcam though? Could well be 👌🏻
@HANKBRAVO81 it's actually the perfect camera for my purposes. I'm a content creator who does hiking videos. Naturally I'm looking for the smallest, lightest setup possible that still has the best quality. I've been going back and forth between the ZV1 and the A1 for my content, and have been leaning A1 because the quality is just so much better. But the size is tough when I'm trying to pack light. So that's where I think the ZV-E1 will fit perfectly.
@@HikeSoloOutdoors I am completely willing to admit that I was wrong. Is it too expensive for the quality of build? Yes. However, I now look at it as the cheapest way to get the FX6 sensor and all its glory. It’s my favourite image from any camera and is why I am now Pre-ordering it. It will allow me to do everything I want until I require that utter reliability from the FX3. Just looking for more reviews etc but nothing out yet obviously.
I would be interested in getting this camera, and still be down for getting it if the price wasn't so much. I do love my A6400. I also take in to consideration what kind of story I'm telling with my camera and when I'm taking it, overall I'm an very happy with what I have.
I'm a a7IV user and I was always quite tempted by the a7s3 and sometimes considered swapping the a7IV for it. Initially I was tiny bit underwhelmed by the ZV-E1 but I decided to give it a go. So far I found it to be quite comfortable to use. The image it produces is touch softer but I believe it's a good thing. 1080p actually looks a lot better then in a7vi. The dynamic active stabe can be a godsend in some scenarios. I like the idea of catalyst stabilisation but hate the implementation. With dynamic stabe I can avoid it and get footage that is almost as good straight out of the camera. No overheating issues as of yet.

@@dunnadidit I've been toying with the idea of that FX30... The size of the ZVE-1 would be such a sweet size for filming mic'd up rounds of disc golf. I have the FX30. But, if I do get the ZV-E1, I will still keep my FX30. EDIT: Although I heard that the A7Cii has been confirmed. So, I'm waiting to see what specs it will have. I have a feeling that it will have 10-bit, so it might be just right as a second camera.

It's great value for money for sure. Especially for what it offers. The colours out if the camera are also great. Where it suffers is dynamic range and super over sharpened image. Yep just pre-ordered it. I love the size and specs. I'm going to use it mainly as a content creation video camera and travel video / photo camera. I think it will complement my A1 and A7RIV nicely.
A vlogger camera for 2k? With a Vista Sensor that requires the really expensive glass? That sounds like quite the investment considering target audience and methods of distribution.
4K 120 stands up only for 5 minutes, cuz overheating issues Small body and not fans to cool it Its better to save some extra money and buy a better camera
@@HikeSoloOutdoors Hello, dear brother… First congratz for your new purchase🫶 The answer is “Everything”. If they add a view finder I’m sold.

It does sound great, but the lack of mechanical shutter is probably going to disqualify it for me.
