im kinda thinking quitting cata. not because i dont like cata because it will sooner or later be the war within classic. its kinda attractive if u think that every progress on era...matters and stays
@@derknusperhase_ivi There was Vanilla, then were was Private Server Vanilla, Then there was Classic, then there was Classic Era, then there was Season of Mastery, then there was HC, then there was/is SOD and now there are people trying to go for Classic Fresh.
It's a level 1-60 game with 5 raids + Onyxia, and a brutal Rank 14 pvp climb.
By all means enjoy it, but if someone is jumping on vanilla hype from vanilla hype year after year and asks me if something's wrong with them.....

@@theoutlander1411 of course its something wrong with them. the entire industry is like that. majority of games are remakes or rereleases. i mean...skyrim came official (no changes) i think 13 times out...we truly live in the last days before judgment. this is mental. and peps: oh maaaaaaan have you heared of this neeew gameeeeee? yeah its the same game but WE CAN ACTUALLY AGAIN start from scratch? peps in every game genre nowadays: YAAAAAAAAY
If you're using these borderline autoplay addons you aren't really playing vanilla. Would be cool to see a server with addons disabled.
I find it weird that ppl have such a strong distaste for seasonal servers, because "this game should not be seasonal" and stuff, then every year and a half they want vanillafreshnochanges...
I leveled a mage to 60 on the horde side of Deviate Delight
I quit playing because there was all this weird drama that was happening. Turned me off completely. People weren't grouping together because of the guilds they were in. It was incredibly stupid.

I keep thinking, especially now they've redone cataclysm that they dont try and do a full blown "progressive server"
Basically you play retail but they lock the level cap at the levels of each raid that calcs to the squish (granted would have been a lot better if there was no squish"
But you level up to.. MC level. Clear MC. Get a key fragment. Do the ony key quest and unlock ony. Kill only get fragment two. Combine these for the bwl key. Clear bwl get the zg key. Clear zg. Unlocks aq20/40. Get half a fragment from each. Combining these unlcoks level "X". And gives you the key to mag/Kara/group. Etc etc. All the way up to whatever the raid is in retail.
But you're literally locked behind every single raid and to progress you have to gain the keys from raid(s) previous.
Would you be interested in that if they did a full server for it?
What would cata be considered? I wouldn’t say classic or retail.
What guild used the phase 5 equipped players?

conflicted. Had just started a rogue on classic era. then a couple weeks later I heard about deviate delight. I dont wanna start over but feel like the connected servers are all gdkp overinflated carry raids. Im level 24 and have 260g from flipping on AH. Economy is nuts
Yeah the Era economy is disgusting.
When I returned months ago to see the prices, I immediately liquidated ONLY the loose herbs sitting in my bank/on alts and made over 13,000 gold... It was quite literally immediately sold aswell.
No one disputed my prices and the 3rd guy who messaged me off the gate took the bulk of it just telling me to tell him how much gold to put in the trade window. I bought every recipe I could ever need, even for alts including the big ones like flask recipes, lionheart, and so on.
It seemed apparent since the lack of players that they refuse to enforce any gold selling punishments.
I feel like this entire video was made to trigger alexsensual 😂

They don’t even know people are doing a fresh like experiment on that server.

@@cococock2418that’s okay, that’s why DD community isn’t playing sod. We enjoy the original game with fresh. Sod was amazing p1, p2 was okay, I quit on launch of p3. Incursions killed it. I hope when Classic + actually launch’s it’s more new content l, less changes with classes. It’s all subjective, and I wish paladins had a taunt, but less class changes more additions to dungeons, raids, zones. Less to change the speed of leveling(which is what classic is), less character changes, less balance) we just want more dungeons, raids, pvp content, maybe change the rating system to a LoL system. The rune system was fun at first but because very tedious. Would be a lot better if you had books that dropped that taught you the abilities from appropriate level content that didn’t always require other players. I do enjoy requiring other players for content but not for skills that are required. A mage tower esk system would be amazing for skills.

I'm still playing SoD and while I wouldn't say it's great I don't agree with some of your sentiment.
Such as incursions, while they certainly are not enjoyable, you really didn't have to do them at all, nor really put too much effort into it. I quite literally treated it as a daily and reached Exalted with the most minimal effort. &That was only to get a temporary Best in Slot item. It's not game breaking and the rebalancing of most items allowed for alternatives. As for the Runes, I didn't find any of them to be very complicated. Majority of them are extremely simple to obtain and even the hard ones like Dark Riders I was able to solo and the one that required obtaining 4 Cores to fight at leystones, I was able to collect all of the cores myself. The only one that required other people was the one to get into the tower and you could pretty much always find people needing it, at the very least sit there and wait for more to arrive. You only needed them because the mobs would respawn too quickly to handle all of them by yourself.
However with that said I still prefer Vanilla way more than SoD aka Retail Lite.
@@cococock2418 Exacly, imagine playing vanilla again and leveling for 1.5 months, grinding all reps for 1 month, farming pvp rank for 2-3 months to raid MC, BWL , AQ 40 for 30000 th times , with 0 mechanic bosses and 3-4 loot per boss to roll in 40 man raid. Getting your bis in 1 year.
The player retention speaks for itself here. While the idea of sod is a noble one, the execution is poor
