  • This is the Car Buyers Guide how to use Skoda Connect in the Skoda Kodiaq video. Daragh Ó Tuama brings us through the Skoda Connect system during a recent test drive in Ireland for review. New Skoda cars like the Octavia, Kodiaq and the Karoq utilise a similar system to the one which features in this video.
When you buy a new Skoda with the Connect system, your dealer should have already brought the vehicle through the Skoda Connect setup. This infotainment system is very intuitive, and the vehicle we were driving was equipped with its own SIM card which allows the online features to work. The car is also enabled for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and MirrorLink.
A Skoda Connect App is also available, which allows owners to check certain details about the car remotely on their smartphones. For example, if your Connect app has been enabled, you should be able to pinpoint the location of your car at any moment, the fuel economy, how much fuel is left in your tank, etc. All of these details are outlined in this Skoda Connect video.
The only real downside to this system is that the glass covering has a tendency to pick up fingerprints - no matter how clean your hands are!

Can you pre heat the car on a frosty or cold morning with the app.

Apparently the technology is there, but the feature is not available on the Irish market. Thanks for the comment! Daragh.
