He got more people watching. They wanted to see him lose.

I grew up in Boston as a die hard Pats fan and my family moved to Tampa when I was in high school in 1976. I immediately was a Bucs fan and had season tix for the inaugural year and been a huge fan of Pats and Bucs FOREVER!. Thank for playing for both my favorite teams and making football the most enjoyable sport to watch. Good luck in the broadcast booth!!! LFG
Best Ever bar none! Thank you so much Tom Brady!
As a die hard Bucs Fan thank u TB for bringing a championship back to Tampa Bay. The 🐐
Todd toilet Bowles and Byron fartwich destroyed Tom Brady’s career
@@Alex-sf9bo dude u sound stupid and nobody asked for all that. He got a ring with em so it couldn't of been that destroyed. The man 45 had tremendous career let him retire in peace
@@roadsydemike4518 he got a ring with Arians
@@Alex-sf9bo stop it
@Alex yeah all they did was embarass the Chiefs, the most dominant recent team, in the Super Bowl. Bowles was brilliant.
The GOAT in my books. Holds so many records, such a clutch player when you need him to win a game. That 3-28 Superbowl comeback will forever be my highlight of his career.
I grew up in New England and will always be grateful for what TB has given me. My dad brought me to Toms 2nd start in 2000 and I was bummed…I wanted to see Bledsoe, but I fell in love with Tommy that game. I’ve been bonding with my dad over Tom Brady ever since. We live across country from each other but still talk weekly and during football season, one of the first questions is always “did you see Tom this week?” Or something along those lines. I can’t begin to thank TB for how much joy and bonding he has guided through his play. Thank you so much Tom, it’s been an honor to watch you play throughout my entire life.
This is not the way Tom Brady wants to go out, but the sad news is he is "Done 👍"(Retired). The sports world will remember and miss Tom Brady on the Football 🏈 Field forever ✨. The greatest QB in football history.🏆
The goat. No disputing it
Seahawks and Ravens fan here
THE GREATEST EVER. This man's career in his 40s is better than most players in their prime.
Well yeah. 1 league MVP, 3 Superbowl trips, 2 Superbowl wins, 2 All Pro's, Superbowl MVP all in his 40's. If you count what he did from age 37 on forget about it. From age 37 on he has a strong case for greatest of all time just in that timeline. Age 37 is when most QB'S start falling off the cliff. He won 4 Superbowls and went to 5 from 37-on.
THANK YOU GOAT! Love from Philly.
If this is it, Tom I thank you not only for the memories in New England but I along with the Patriots fans who are die hard thank you for your career and your service to our organization!!! Tampa Bay Buccaneers organization and their fans of course thank you Tom for everything you did for them and if this is it Tom, go enjoy your retirement and sail into the sunset. You have earned it Tom. You will always be the GOAT 🐐 ❤️ 💙 🙏🏽
Never liked him as an adversary of my team, but one thing is for sure... the respect I have for this man is immeasurable. An icon of the sport, must watch TV and the wrong man (or right man, depending on which side you stand lol) to leave time on the clock in the 4th quarter. Besides Jordan, I can't think of another athlete that was as steel- nerved in crunch time and delivered time and time again.
I am truly grateful to have witnessed Jordan, Tiger, and Brady all in my lifetime - no youtube needed! Seen it all live, as it happened!
You don't gotta like him, but you GOTTA respect what he's done. This is the end of an era and now we must leave him to the ages.... Thanks for the thrills, GOAT Brady...
He came back just to be able to announce his own retirement... Legend. Thank you Tom for everything it's been a joy to watch
I think the same he would had stayed retired if adam shcfnuts wouldnt had leaked his retirement last year
Or he still be married
Several generations got to witness the greatest QB in the history of NFL
I don’t really feel sadness
I feel gratitude for what he’s done for the sport, man has been an icon for the NFL for two decades
You won't start feeling sad until next season when he's not out of the field! I'm a huge Peyton manning fan and at first I felt the same way but once the season started without him it really started to sink in and the sadness hit
This really is the end of era, Brady it’s been an honor.
Thank you, Tom. For everything. Salute.
Football isn’t going to be the same without him! End of an era.
Yeah, but the NFL is in a great place with QB talent: Mahomes, Allen, Burrow, Lawrence, Herbert and even the guys who might be more second-tier can be exciting to watch play, too.
He really is the 🐐 of our time!
Todd toilet Bowles and Byron fartwich destroyed Tom Brady’s career
🐐 of ALL time
Forever in my heart. Will miss you a ton. Unbelievable career, the greatest to ever do it. The sheer will to win is unmatched.
Glad he came back because this year he really made so many new records and got the number one spot in every category that is meaningful for a qb
Tom Brady is the standard of competitive excellence as an individual player and teamate.
I love you Tom. My favorite player
I feel for him, he gave his life to this game and the fans of this sport and critics are giving him so much hate. He literally gave it all and he wanted to give it up but couldn’t, he was institutionalized.
Thank you for everything TB12 🐐
As a die hard life long U OF M fan I have loved him ever since he won us a national championship. So nothing made me happier than seeing him go on to become the GOAT. From going almost undrafted, to being the measuring tape that all other great QB's in the league are compared to every season for the past 2 decades. This is the kind of folktale like persona he's gonna leave on the game, and unless you were alive to see it you probably won't believe it. As sports fan I'm greatly saddened by his announcement. The hole he's gonna leave in the game is already being felt. The league just isn't gonna be the same without everybody's favorite villain in it anymore. That being said, I'm genuinely happy for him, nobody deserves to enjoy retirement more than the GOAT himself . We love you, and we're gonna miss you Tom ❤. Now ffs, go eat a carb my guy!!!!
This feels like when Kobe retired... there will be a competitive hole in the sport that will be hard to be filled by anyone else.
Brady had the Mamba Mentality.
That's true 👍💯🙋♀️
We love you Tom, blessings for you and family!
It was a pleasure watching this man play the game. 20 years of watching him play I went from hating the man to respecting him. He is the real G.O.A.T.
Never forget the "GOAT" Tom Brady. 🏆 🥇
A true winner!
What a legend, he is such a inspiration. He may have played to long but it’s hard to see him go
Time for him to go and let someone else get a chance to prove them selves, in that position am a fan but he should gone already but I guess it's how he was feeling all along while playing
I remember when Brady played at Michigan when I was a kid. He outlasted everybody from that era of college football by 10-15 years. That is simply insane to think about.
@@auzziedabrell6905 you don't let someone, they have to earn it
@@auzziedabrell6905 When should he have gone? In 2021 when he won his 7th Super Bowl? How about 2022 when he finished 2nd in MVP voting? Or this year when he threw for 4,692 yards 25 touchdowns and 9 INT’s.
Perhaps your comment is in relation to how YOU feel, and not the actual production Brady was STILL able to achieve on the field.
YEAH SUCH AN INSPIARTION CANT WIN THEN CHEAT ............DEFLATED FOOTBALLS
Diana trying to look busy😂 girl the news is out already 💀💀
One of greatest careers of all time thank you TB12 for all entertaining us football fan's enjoy your retirement 🐐

A legend
I think it’s so cool to be alive during this lifetime cause I get to tell my kids about the Toms and the lebrons and all these greats that may never be able to be replicated
Tom Brady is in a different stratosphere than Lebron but LBJ is a goat though, nonetheless.
@Michael Elam say what you want I’m not even the biggest fan of him but Kareem’s record being broken is a once in a lifetime experience along with all the other stuff he does Mj the goat though
@Michael Elam you such a negative Nancy fam shits sad
You've inspired people because of your work ethics..Loved you and I'm not sure if I'll be able to watch football without you there.Goodluck
He should've after he won in Tampa he knew after he barely beat Pat his time was coming to an end I'll always remember The Greatest SuperBowl Comeback in History! 28-3 he did that.
THAT!!
Tom Brady the greatest ever I learn so much from him he inspires and o love and admire him so much the GOAT
Hearts ♥️ TB12
Tom Brady announced his retirement very personally without any press. I'm happy that I was able to see him live in Munich last year. He will be missed in the football world as a absolut great player and team player. Make the best of it and above all stay healthy. He is and will always be the GOAT ❤️🇩🇪👍🙋♀️
so the rumors of Tom going to the Niners is non-existent. Thank you Tom and congrats on the retirement
Tom Brady created a work ethic that young QBs like Joe Burrow are using a template, although Burrows is his own man, there is no doubt Brady's career has influenced many young men in every sport here in the U.S and throughout the world of sports, long live the Goat! Tom Brady!
brady, true prototype to blood sweat & tears, on the field every year, this man is a LEGEND
Congrats to the goat and thank you for representing football with class, toughness, and much success God bless.
Jordan the goat
@@angel-ij4xv that's what you said and that's 👌
When MJ23 retired i did`nt cry...but men i swear when i saw the video of TB12 speaking his retirement today...i cry,i feel crush and sad...
That’s real emotion, I think, bc he’s genuinely real.
Adieu to the greatest football career of all time!... Maybe hearing him from a booth we can all look forward to🤔
He signed with Fox: 10 yrs, 25 mil/year. He signed it a few years ago.
@@Somethingwittyxs4ku good to know....he'll be great at it...he's one of the best readers of the game and quite articulate...and always expecting excellence from him...
As a Dolphins fan Brady absolutely crushed my soul so many times. As a younger man I used the word hate often when talking about Tom Brady. I now try not to use that word at all and I certainly don't use it when talking about Tom Brady. The word I use now is respect. He is indeed the GOAT. Congratulations on an amazing career Tom Brady.
a tough lesson to learn Tom
GOOD FOR HIM!!! & THE YOUNGER GENERATION OF QBS...
Gonna miss watching that dude.
Wow just wow can't believe your reign is over ..... TB 12 you were an enormous influence on me growing up ..... how many can say they got to watch there hero from age 9 to 30 ..... not many wishing you all the best Tom enjoy retirement .... Greatest EVER
the greatest ever just retired .. he spoiled us with football that we will never see again .. like foreal magic almost unreal .. its a honor but truthfully i want to cry .. my favorite player retiring ... bruh im hurting im not ok ... 😞 thank you tom!
The UNDISPUTED GOAT of the NFL!!! gonna miss watching this guy every Sunday.. but when its time its time.. he gave us everything a fan of football would wanna see and it will be truly missed!!
Classic conundrum of the really great athletes, they dont know when to get out of the game before theyre actually forced out.
That feeling of winning and being on top of the game is prolly one of the most addictive things in the world..
Respect 🐐
Will miss the GOAT
The man needs and wants to concentrate on his private life and family. Hope it all goes well for him. Also, he beat the media this time, that's why it feels right.
Time with family > Money
Remember that
Value that
Embody that
TB12
@JRG or he could've retired 10 years ago to save his marriage and also spend time with parents... you don't get the point bro. Its important to be with your parents and family and help them more than it is to be with your friends or working for money. Friends and money are temporary. Family and parents are forever.
I’m not crying 😢 you are
Tom Brady: retired
Peyton Manning: retired
Ben Roethlisberger: retired
Drew Brees: retired
Philip Rivers: retired
Eli Manning: retired
Truly an end of an era 🙌
The Greatest!
I am so proud of you Tommy😢
Obviously, being from New England, I wish Tom everything that 20 years of sacrifice and championships could net one man as an equivalent to whatever he endeavors from here on out. New England loves you, Tom, and owes you everything. Live the dream, my friend. Your tears are ours just as our tears are yours.
I’m with you there.
S/O to TB12 he has had a phenomenal career and made a great impact on the nfl congratulations and enjoy retirement 💯.
You know there are people at home are like " Thank God!!!" Not me course though. Sad to see him go.
I felt that same way when Barry Bonds announced his retirement. I felt a bit lost and I wondered how I was going to watch baseball without Bonds.
End of an era indeed and this is hard to digest but he had an illustrious career with achievements of the highest degree. The greatest to ever do it hands down and you can’t deny that. 🐐 and he’ll definitely be missed. Amazing and superb career that will forever be etched in the annals of history and beyond.
The goat the greatest to ever live nobody comes close or will ever come close tom Brady my idol my inspiration ❤️🐐
I really do hope he stays retired and finds peace. Everyone should be able to flip the page and move on. He is the GOAT, no debate. Can’t wait to see what he does next.
I am shocked. I would have bet $ that he would have signed w/ the 49ers to go after a Super Bowl. But good for him! On your own terms, Tom.
A body language expert studied Brady during this latest announcement and he determined that Brady will be signing with the Farty Niners in the off-season. Yay!!!
Thank God
I'm just happy he didn't retire after the Titans game. Bro still won a Super Bowl after that 😭
That looked like a man who just starred into the oceans for hours reflecting on his whole football career. All praise to the GOAT!!
Guys, greeny is literally being told this right now. Literally.
You rocked it like a hurricane, Tom.
Tom Brady will go down as the most winningest, successful QB of our generation. Thanks for giving your all for the sport of football 🙏🙌
Other than what he's done throughout his career and his impact on teaching the world on what a winning mentality looks like, but I appreciate his acknowledgment he already did the emotional essay and didn't put people through a media circus all summer.
YOU TOOK ONE FROM US.. WE TOOK ONE FROM YOU.. Thanks for the good times Tommy...PHILLY.
Brady will always be the Superman quarterback and God bless the man .
Can’t wait to see more Manning & Brady show. Please make it happen!🎉
The G.O.A.T!!🐐
Are we really doing this again? I gave him his flowers last year.
Really gone miss the goat 🐐🐐
I'm sure with the way the NFL is today his all time passing yards and tds and whatnot will get broken someday but we will never see a qb good into his 40s, never see a player in 10 Superbowls and 7 wins. Brady always said " I want to play till I'm 45 and when I suck I'll know it's time" so knowing that Giselle couldn't deal with one more season? And to have it be his first loosing season, hate it for him. Forever TB12=🐐 X7. Growing up new England sports sucked to say the least until my senior year when the Patriots won their first Superbowl and the flood gates opened, 20years= 6 superbowls, 4world series, 1nba championship, and 1stanley cup. Thank you TB12 for 20 years of great memories.
Hooray!
Would’ve liked to see him in SF but what can I say? It is what it is
Will miss u buddy
We heard this one before I'll believe it when I see it
Brady saying he wouldn't change a thing. That was for his ex-wife.
We will never see this again in our lifetime. I hope everyone has enjoyed Tom Brady, because there will never be anyone like him again.
Bad day for Skip Bayless
Thank you Thomas Edward Patrick Brady, Jr.~ Skip
Pretending to get a call after the announcement is funny. Sorry your sources were wrong. Sorry 49ers
Well i guess im retiring from watching football he was the only reason my tv was on football every sunday you are the goat and thank you for giving me so many fun memories my favorute was the comeback of the falcons 🤯
Man's got 7 rings like an Ariana Grande song, the GOAT.
23 years in the league.
10 Super Bowl appearances
That's a Super Bowl appearance every 2.3 years.
You will never see that again.
He'll sign a 1 day contract with the Pat's, retire a Patriot..
When I watched brady this year I didn't see the same killer extinct. You could definitely see he was checked out.
NFL needs to make his throwing silhouette the logo
I'm not believing it until I see him not return to football next season. We have been doing this for several years now.
No we haven’t, he retired one time before this, last year.
