Guru ki sankhya hazaaron mein hongi. Galiyon ki sankhya lakhon me hongi. Is liye ye hakikat aasani se samajhne ke liye ye baar baar kehna zaruri samajhta hun. Ye bhi indirectly kahna hai ki sachha guru harek gali me nahin milta.
What a Legend.
I somehow get immense Happiness in understanding the maths of Rhythms, when Panditji explains it. It's like when viewed it two times you get the Rhythm and half beats and how it embraces that bandish.
Viewing it the third time is a bliss, to see Panditji's reactions while playing.

One fundamental difference between Pt. Anindo ji's baithak and Pt. Suresh Talwalkar ji Baithak: Pt. Suresh ji has I think a rich experience accompanying vocal artistes and hence focuses most of his discussion around the poetic aspect of the theka and how the taal is transformed into a theka ...(poetic - amurtha gayaaki)...whereas Anindo ji's baithak focuses on the more technical aspects of the bols in tabla - mostly the instrumental aspects given he somewhere in the middle of the discussion states that he has mostly accompanied instrumentalists on tabla...it is very interesting to note how the life experiences shapes the points of view about their music...naman... :)

What you have stated, is true in regards to this particular baithak. But one cannot ignore the fact, that Pt Suresh ji has thought immensely (and also has shared his thoughts) about accompaniment of Instrumental music as well.

One is a sure kill machine gun(beauty of advance technology) and other is a beautiful bouquet of flowers! Both incredible in their own way.
Have listened to this end to end atleast 10 times now and I still come back to listen to this - such a gem of a lecture demo - very deep and involved... hats off :)
