When you arrived in the Philippines you'll get a free one month visa. Then you'll get a 2 months extension. Then you'll get 6 months extension and another 6 months extension up to 3 years. You'll have to leave the country for 24 hours. Some expats will go to Thailand, Hongkong, Singapore and any neighboring countries and comeback after 24 hours. You can extend your visa up to 3 years. You don't have to leave the country for 3 years.
I was in the Philippines late 2023 to January 2024. The first visa extension is another 30 days, after your initial 30 day Visa free time. This applied to me as an American.
Huge advantage to speak same language. -- Have my eye on Malaysia & Cambodia for that very reason. -- Cambodia will even take your USD ! -- 🤗-- Siem Reap has 50 cent beer many places. Beautiful City and cheap quality street food for people who either don't want to cook or can't ? (like me) Khmer people are exceptionally friendly and extremely welcoming. - - - Philippines are my 1st choice. Many expats from the US - former military included in some 400,000 and counting. ( ? ) 🙏 🍺 🌟
The Philippines really is a great place . I am also planning on checking out some other places in the future. But the language is a big deal. Thanks for watching.
