Yes I was really surprised with the incredible price. Who says you can't have your cake and eat it to.
Wow ... Amazing
Thanks For Watching
Do you need building security where you live in cebu?
I feel that you do need building security . Security is very common in the malls and condo developments
Should have got wings.......
Thanks for the comment and Thanks for watching
looks good
This was really good. Great price and atmosphere
$14,000 , heart attack Chung hua
Are you ok now?
Hope all is better now
I'm arriving Cebu next week..staying in hotel initially, but plan to find a monthly rentals..any suggestions? $400 a month is ok..
I previously stayed at Bamboo Bay. You could probably stay there for less than 400. I really liked it. Pool and weight room and about a 10 to 15 minute drive to Park Mall or the IT area. Also Mactan Newtown I think You can get a studio there . I was paying around 460 per month plus electric, Internet and water.. Thanks for the comment
Great video
Thanks for the visit
I am living in Cebu Philippines for about 80K per month for two of us. 80K is almost $1,500. My rent is 8K. My WiFi is 1K. My water in 300 pesos. My electric is 2K (I do not have air conditioner), but I pay 2K to park my car, I pay 2 pesos per km to drive my motorcycle and 15 pesos per km to drive my car. I budget 6K per week for food and that includes drinking water for two of us and about a third of that 6K budget gets to extended family. Yesterday, I bought a whopper for 206 pesos at Ayala mall. No soda and no fries. My wife passed away and I remarried here. Being 72, I do not do that much here. You do need six months income for an emergency, say medical self insurance. I think there is more freedom in the Philippines flying under the radar than living in the US with its automated government in place. The cost of freedom, and depending on what you want for freedom, is that cost to just comfortably live and that for me is roughly 45% of what the cost is in the US. The doctors scare me. The bathrooms are clean. Lots of needy people here. A lot of management systems do not work well. Amazon delivers some products to the Philippines. The import fees will get your attention. The legal system is a façade. I am from Arizona. The humidity was a problem when I first got here ten years ago. I like the weather more now. But no one has robbed me or hurt me.
Looks so yummy
This pizza is really great. Fantastic pizza with lots of cheese and great service. Thanks for watching.
I guess I could live like a king there on $6300 a month but my Filipina wife dose not want to move back only visit. And I built a house in Demanjug Cebu for about 40K
Yes you could live like a king and actually save a lot of money. Unlike in the US if that's where you are. Thanks for the comment
Wonderful content! I am leaning towards Phnom Penh for ease of visas, but I'm sure much of this applies
Phnom Penh Looks pretty incredible. Fantastic cost of living especially on the rents.
What about Health Insurance?
I self insure when I travel. The costs of medical insurance varies regarding health conditions, Age and also in some countries they will not insure you above a certain age. I do find that if it's not a major procedure , A doctor visit may be a small fraction of the comparable cost in the US. Again depending on the hospital. Many people estimate a few hundred dollars per month. But it really depends on you, Coverage, Age and condition of health.

Thanks for the information! Can you suggest a place where we can stay near Mactan if we would go on a family vacation preferably with beach? We have 3 kids, ages are 7,2, and 4month old.
Mactan Newtown has a small beach , There are quite a few different rentals there also the Savoy Hotel. Lots of food choices nearby. Blue Water was nice for families I think. There are a lot of nice hotels in the area, Sheraton ,Shangri la, Dusit Thani has a pool with life guard when I stopped there. also a nice Beach side Buffet
Great review of a classy hotel.
Very nice hotel with an affordable price. Thanks for the comment
Looks good indeed in Jomtein.
Jomtien is a fantastic place. I really enjoyed my stay here. Thanks for the comment
So beautiful place .
This place is really nice. Great food and Great people. Thanks for the comment
The majority of western men that move there would be considered losers back in their home country and they move there cause they don't have much money...to make matters even worse, they usually are dumb (left their common sense back home) and believe that the fine ladies they hook up with love them, but it's not love at all - it's all about the money and escaping grinding poverty for the ladies. I know this msg might cause some butthurt for some, but sometimes the facts hurt. keeping it real!
I appreciate your comment. Part of what you say is correct. I need to ask you if someone decides to relocate to another country for a better quality of life, does that make them a loser. Or is the real loser someone that stays in the same location and never leaves their town to get ahead in life. Taking women completely out of the picture. Do you not think women and men in the West are money motivated? Or are they all just incredibly educated great people. Lets be real !
Have a laugh, try this. Tell a Thai or Phillipino girl that you will marry her so that you can stay in Thailand or the Phillipines for ever and her family can support you while you soak up the sunshine. Her reaction will keep you in smiles forever.
This is really funny, Appreciate the comment. lol
Nope. Vietnam or Cambodia is better.
I haven't been to Vietnam or Cambodia but I plan to visit both. I hear both are great
Nice place 😮
I really liked the location across the street from the beach. Thank You
Looks so delecious ...
They were really good
Wise words. The "love" pill is one of the hardest to swallow for Men. I still have a naive hope, but am going to settle in the East, to minimize risk.
👍🍻🍻
Marian good to hear from you. Hope you are doing well

@@whereisgregnow5989 you welcome. Watching from the Philippines
Stay in Cambodia and travel for vacation to Vietnam, Thailand, Lao and Philippines
Been to Vietnam and it will be my last. They don’t take to kindly of foreigners there especially if you are a American
I have only been there for a visa run. I will check it out. People seem to really like it and the cost of living is great.
If you care more about peace of mind and freedom Philippines wins hands down
Peace of mind and freedom are huge issues right now. Thanks for the comment. The Philippines is a great place.
Not luxury at all. For that price even a rip off for SEA. Way better in Vietnam and Thailand
@@Natascha1979 Thanks for the comment
i suggest the Philippines not because i am a filipino but there are many reason to consider why Philippines base on my own experience in Thailand when i went there for a tourist, the first one is the language, i had a hard time to ask for direction of places when i ask the local since they cannot speak english, but in the philippines, English is used for medium of instruction (no language barrier) second cost of living are more cheaper in the philippines compare in thailand, third foods is easily adopt and love by any race since it was very influence by american, spanish cusine, fourth the culture, filipino people are warm and hospitable most specially foreign tourist.
Peter everything you said is correct. The Philippine People are really warm and friendly. Nicest people you will ever meet and communicating is definitely easier.
Thailand is better in many ways like food, budget, safety, overall quality of life ...but Philipines wins in terms of women and visa policy....
I have to agree with you but Thailand does have many beautiful women also. Thanks for the comment
Nice hahaha
For communication you can just use google translate. I know it's not nearly as good as speaking the language but translation apps on your phone are game changers for living abroad in non english countries.
I'm going to start using it on a regular basis. Communication can be difficult in parts of Thailand. Thanks for the comment
For both countries: Do you suggest drinking a small bit of tap water so my stomach can get used to it? I hope I won't have to brush teeth with bottled water for years haha
In the Philippines most of the locals i have met buy the large 5 gallon jug and pour some into smaller containers. 8 ounce bottle or small bottle of some sort. Water is delivered everywhere in the larger cities. It's also very inexpensive. I won't take the chance of drinking the tap water or brushing my teeth with it. I have heard people say they use their own small filter system. Bria etc. In Thailand it's the same scenario. Restaurants have water and ice delivered daily. For myself I just buy water . Cheaper to buy water, than toilet paper and medicine. lol
Beautiful Place
Really reasonable price for being next to the beach. Thanks for watching
I want to go where people understand me and not to learn another language so that would be Philippines.
Thanks so much for the comment
สวัสดีค่ะ🙏
Hi Palidamook, Thank you so much
Is google translate not good enough? Thai seems impossible to me.
@@user-vq8yk1wc1u I don't understand what you are saying regarding Google translate?
@@user-vq8yk1wc1uyou really only need to learn several key phrases and words. I was in a taxi recently asking the person to slow down. He didn't know what slow down means. No time for Google translate
Which country has more AIDS?
I have no idea. Thanks for the comment
good job for not sugar coating thailand and the philippines both countries are great. i don't care about the food and infra i don't care about the language i just want to get out of the western world.
Thanks for the comment

Looking to come over for a 6mo stay. I would like an area like IT park for a good expat socializing since this will be 1 trip to PI. Any recommendations. Ty.
Hi George, I stayed at Mactan Newtown for three months. There was quite a lot of expats there. Would usually hang out in front of the 2 coffee shops or at the pools. Its far from the IT park and Ayala Mall. I also really like going to the terraces at the IT Park. I stayed at Bamboo Bay for a while. I liked that because there was a gym ,pool and friendly people, with an exception or two.. The location was central, Park Mall, Ayala Mall in close range. If you golf at all? Try golfing, You get the cart, Cadee and Umbrella girl for a reasonable price. In the states this is not affordable.
That's not luxury!
So please tell me what is your definition of luxury?
You look great with the haircut. Can't ignore noticing the barber, of course.
And I thought people were watching to see me lol, Thanks for watching
@@whereisgregnow5989 People were watching you. It's just that the barber keeps getting in the way.
