Without question, this is my favorite episode of Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego? Three reasons why. 1. Plastic Diver Guy 2. Sarah Nade was the crook, she was my favorite in this era of the show. 3.The chase for Carmen was on, in my opinion, the easiest map. Anton Spivack, thank you for posting this episode to CZcams! Very happy to see my favorite 90's show back on CZcams. You are the man.
I remember every time this episode aired,being the season 4 opener and all of them always being shown in the same order each time they repeated. After 8 weeks they would repeat episodes from season 3 for a week and then air the last 2 weeks of season 4 before airing repeats of season 3 for 2 straight weeks. Season 3 was great by all means but there was just something about season 4 and season 5,that was just upbeat and peppy that lacked a little in the previous seasons. When each rotation of season 4 started over with this episode,right at the opening when the audience cheers and claps loudly,the Chief saying her line "And one of these gumshoes could find her!",Greg's entrance and his upbeat greeting to the audience and meeting the gumshoes and high fiving each of them I could feel the excitement of it all too. I always enjoyed when it started over the season 4 rotation because I knew we would have 8 straight weeks of it in a row.
Andy PG I know, I met the guy once. Juan Dixon went to my high school and I remember seeing him at basketball games all the time (Tahj showed up a couple times). And I remembered him because I remember the "taller than the host" comment

The fourth season premiere. When I saw the wanted poster of The Contessa I thought there was another new crook, until I saw The original Contessa picture is back, in the chief's office.
I think this show made me realize I was an empath I would either get super happy for the kids that won or feel sad for the ones that didnt. PS I made me feel good to see this kid win.
I did too. Especially for the gumshoes who ran the map if he or she lost. Of course I felt bad for them if they either didn't get any,which surprisingly there was only 3 episodes in the entire 5 year run of the show that had a 0 correct guess on the map round,or didn't find more than maybe one or 2,but I felt even more so for those who got really close,especially if they got to the 7th one but missed getting the 8th one by mere seconds,in a few cases by literally a split second,most times because they either got caught on a location that they weren't fully sure about and they got it wrong and it threw their otherwise being on a row off or some may have been on one of the biggest maps and were getting them all right but just weren't going at quite the speed needed to beat the map. Those were the ones that I felt the most for,that got so close but fell just short of victory.
They didn't for part of Season 1 -- and the writing was bad. The person behind the scenes likely wrote them in big bold letters so the TV cameras would pick it up better.
They’re all probably taller for their age. The age requirement for the show, and most kids game shows, is I believe 10-14. I was tall for my age growing up.
My aunt, uncle, and some cousins live in Oregon. My aunt is my dad's sister, and she's originally from Alabama, and my whole family is crazy so . . . . .
I'm from Northern Michigan, love it here, and I've been to 42 U.S. states but Oregon has ALWAYS been in my top 3! Those west coast views, Giant forests & perfect ocean mist 😍 I hope to return one day!

This show has just the right combination of facts, humor, skill, luck, and atrociously bad animation.
Now that you mentioned the part with bad animation, Carmen and her henchmen do look like the characters that were made by Dingo Pictures.

David looked so deadpan most of the episode, I'm glad by the end he loosened up and seemed to really be enjoying himself.
Yeah you could tell he was a little embarrassed in the beginning but he seemed like he was having more fun than the kids towards the end.
Most of the contestants usually look a little deadpan, probably because they are so focused
