As a ballerina with Ehlers Danlos Syndrome... I was _SO_ torn this season between Brooke and Yvie. I love the both of them but I’m glad that Yvie won and that we’re gonna have to see Brooke on All Stars at some point.

I didn't like Yvie all that much at first, cause I wanted to stick by my Canadian queen :), but Yvie really grew on me the more looks she turned and the more she talked. It made me happy to see her win, it also would have made me happy to see Brooke win. I never have just one favourite queen, ya know?

As much as I am rooting for both Yvie and Brooke Lynn, Yvie has shown the most growth, versatility, acceptance of the critiques and charm. She is so deserving of the crown!

I feel that Yvie is unique. We need more distinguished queens. Yvie is one of a kind and no one even comes close. Sharon Needles was the first to bring us spooky couture and it switched up our expectations. Before Sharon, we were really stuck on pageant super models like Raja (who is fantastic btw). Then Shaton came and opened our minds to the weirdness that drag can be. That's why queens like Sasha Velour is iconic. Yvie is like Sharon Needles SUPER AMPLIFIED. It's great to see someone so unique come in and be so well rounded while also raising awareness about her condition.
Brooklyn is FUCKING FIERCE but shes also like a stereotypical pageant queen. Only thing that made her stand out is the ballet. I feel that Brooklyn would have won if Yvie wasnt there.

My friend was just diagnosed with it and I pointed her to Yvie as encouragement and out of love. EDS isn’t the end of the world but it puts a huge roadblock in the way.
Try to raise Awareness about Ehlers Danlos then. More awareness means better medical care and compassion for people like Yvie
It’s a battle for sure but you just gotta remember you can do things and you do have your limits and it’s OKAY to have limits.

Idk I'm still bitter over the snatch game and the magic show along with Shuga's elimination. Tbh after the magic show I was over the favoritism.
I like Yvie, but she was very favored. She should have been bottom 2 in the magic show, but they did not want to send either her or Vanjie home. Her win did not feel as deserved because of all the slack they cut her.

Met Michelle at Dragcon meet and greet a few years ago.My teenage daughter was feeling pretty bad and had use a wheelchair that day (she’s on chemo) but nothing was stopping her from attending. Michelle was and is exactly as she appears on tv. She really is a lovely, caring person who just happens to cut through the bullsh*t and tell it like it is. She took a lot of time talking with my daughter and I (more than was required of the meet and greet). She was genuinely interested in my daughter’s health and asked really smart, engaging questions. She offered her love, support and prayers. My daughter left that meeting feeling so special. Only a real, loving person can make you feel that way. That’s who Michelle is.

You can just look at her and tell she has a good heart. A lot of the queens that weren’t fond of her during filming, have had a change of heart.

I loved Yvie from the start. She was the most genuine and true to her comments. She was never mean like Silky who has no class at all. I truly don’t know how Silky made it to the 4 finalist. She did not deserve to be there. Yvie is a true talent in every sense of the word. Yvie if you are reading this, don’t ever change who you are because you are just beautiful! I am so sorry that you have to be in pain all the time. I will be praying for your health and may God Bless you always. Continue doing what you are doing because you are the best drag queen out there!!!!You are different and exciting to watch and that is all good!!!! So very happy that you won!!! Damn Yvie! It’s amazing to see you with hair and eyebrows, you are so handsome. I appreciate you so much for speaking up about Ehlers Danlos Syndrome and educating others. My mom has the same rare disorder as you, type 3 and type 4 and she wasn’t diagnosed until she was 50 years old. She now finally got granted social security and left her nursing job of 10 years so she can take better care of her body. She understood you when you said you feel like you got hit by a train when you sleep wrong or that it feels like you’re breaking your bones, that is something my mom goes through every day all the time as if she were made of glass. Thank you Yvie I sincerely hope and pray you win, you put in the work and you have the originality to stand out.
I love that EDS is being brought up more, and people are realizing this ailment. I look up to Yvie, because she talks about EDS and she's unique as well!!

: i have ehlers danlos syndrome in severe form. It has left me with multiple organ failure, fed through a tube directly into my heart as the EDS stretched my digestive system to the point of failure, i’m full time powered wheelchair user and last year my upper spine collapsed crushing my brainstem causing a brain injury so my skull is now fused to my spine and i cant move my head or neck at all. My EDS gives me a life-limiting prognosis which means i will die from it young. Its more than just being bendy and flexible. I hope that Yvie avoids the severe end of the condition and continues to show there is a place for disabled queers in the lgbtq community.

I couldn't pick between Yvie or Brooklyn for the crown but after seeing Brook come after Scarlet in the reunion, I now know my winner and her name is very Oddly.
MrPeppermintPatty I feel the exact same way. I was so conflicted but after the reunion, Yvie was the clear winner in my eyes. A lot of the other Queens have renewed love for her too. Brooke is great at what she does, don’t get me wrong, but her personality just seemed off and she came off as narcissistic and apathetic.

TBH Yvie's video is the first Whatcha Packin video I've watched from start till finish. She's interesting to watch, endearing, nice jacket..humble and love the part when Michelle mentioned that she researched about her condition.

As usual, I found this late. But, I'm happy to see how genuinely nice Yvie seems to be. I had problems with her unsolicited critiques which put me off her. But it's good to see she realizes why the other queens were offended. Maturity will help her immensely.

I'm definitely a team Brooke Lynn person but I can see why Yvie will win the season for many reasons, despite not having done statistically the best.
1. She represents something unique and is being given the Sharon Needles edit
2. Shes very polished and will inspire alot of people to step out of their boxes
3. With her disease she may not be able to do the things she has done on season 11, potentially preventing her from winning an All Stars, if she doesn't win the crown
4. She speaks her truth and isn't afraid to be authentically herself

Yvie is such an inspiration to me and it really made me want to cry when she won on season 11. It really showed me that even the most unique people do not get shunned fully, but are embraced for their genuineness and I really want to work on just expressing myself as I am, no chains that hold me back. And I love how she is so strong and so frank and opinionated, which is how I used to be but people pushed me down and I sadly held my tongue. But seeing Yvie express what she thought fully on RuPaul inspired me to do the same. That confidence is a goal I aspire to reach and I love her so much
Some people actually got diagnosed with ehlers danlos because they watched this show and looked it up, and figured out that they have this too and now can find the right help. Alot of people actually get misdiagnosed and take drugs they don't need and keep suffering. So he saved alot of people. I hope he knows how much he helped people.

I'm going through it right now and my perspective kinda shifted. I've been ungrateful for my life bc I was gay and didn't want to be. This helped me to think of life as a gift. Can you tell I don't have anyone to talk to? 😂

Hey just saw this and it touched me. I know its hard and easier said than done but always remember that it is your life and you have to live it for you and not for anyone else. "They" will always have something to judge you about - even if you were not gay, they'd pick something else, short tall, fat thin, all of it. People will never be pleased - so just do you. Learn to love your unique self and live for you - be your own cheerleader. When the haters come, and they will come - you'll be ready because you already love yourself and who you are so they cant truly hurt you anymore when they try to judge you for something you are proud of.
