Great content as usual. The 1 thing I’d add is teaching them HOW to refer you. Most past clients of mine will tell friends and family they should use me but I would rarely get a call. Teaching them to introduce us via a group text or email is a much more effective way. Just my 2 cents🤓👍🏠🔥

I'm part of a few referral groups but where they lack understanding is that you can't just walk into a meeting, exchange business cards and be expected to start referring each other to each other's clients and friends. It takes time to build that trust first. Ideally we would do business together first, then I can refer them if I was really blown away. And vice versa.

On top of that I am thankful you shared the reality of how long it took for each relationship to prosper ,which lets me know that I might have to wait 1 to 3 years before I get a referral.
