    I'm not a professional shooter, but I know how to make the most of the resources that you have. I purchased a 22 LR auto pistol, and use the lower priced ammo. I only use what I can buy at the range, and never use my stock. I also print out multiple targets (print my own) since paper is less expensive than ammo, and I only shoot a max of 5 rounds on a single sheet. At the end of my 22 LR practice session, which is based on alignment and grip, I finish off with only 5 rounds of 9 mm. I also take my G-Sight ELMS laser 9mm cartridge to the range and practice with live and simulated shots.

    When ammunition is not $50 to 80 dollars a box....when the LGS has more than 10 total boxes of ammo in the entire store, we can do a 50 round drill. Perhaps a better segment would be on "How long can small, local stores and gun ranges stay open when no ammunition is available, or is at a price that the working class person can barely afford?"

    Hornady already sent me my allotment for the year. What’s great tho is my 5mm Remington ammo finally showed up. Now I can finally take the rifle my grandpa gave me out to my range. I appreciate the training post guys but my pistol trainer is kind of a stickler on what I do.

    $50 for a box of ammunition is just too expensive these days , can’t even train any more, 9mm is a dollar a round now

    • @smithn.wesson495
      @smithn.wesson495 Před 3 lety

      A $1 a round for 9mm is "cheap". Try paying $50 to $80 for a 20 to 50 round box like certain states and cities are charging once. Then people wonder why the ranges are empty?!?!

      Casting and reloading here, still paying about $6 a hundred.
      Cheap ammo is there if you want to put in a little effort.
