These kids sound like they came out of some advanced music class. This is crazy I’m a bass player. This is nuts.
She just blows your mind
I close my eyes while listening to this and am transported back to the utterly finest funk sounds from the 1970s. I open them and watch these astounding youngsters play this original tune with the amazing joy, crispness and power decades beyond their calendar years. Truly mind blowing awesome!
This is what happens when ‘planets align.’ The perfect person. Born into the perfect situation. At the perfect time. This alignment brought us Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, Peart, Pastorious, Rhodes and now Ellen. We are blessed to be witness to the beginnings of another unbelievable talent. It’s not just her playing either- she has an inner beauty and light that outshines mere mortals. God bless us all!

You must add Alma Deutscher (sold out Carnegie hall at age 15--all her own compositions) and Rita Payes--jazz vocalist and trombonist. They do not play funk or even rock but man can they play. If you are starting with Mozart... then these women must be checked out. They are here, on CZcams.
Sky is definitely the limit for these musicians. They are all incredible.
Don't know who Alisa is, but the girl, yes girl, on the drums is Yoyoka from Japan and she is 10 years old. She kills it.

It is not Yoyoka. Yoyoka uses short hair and is way taller then this boy.
The gal on the drums is actually Alisaxie Xiaotong from China. She's 13. Yoyoka is currently 12? and she keeps her hair very short.😉

Ellen is a awesome Bass player. All are great her dad Novac on guitar 🎸 Noah on saxophone 🎷 and the girl on drums is incredible. 👍

About talented kids: 80 to 90 percent of musical talent is not born, it is developed during early childhood. This is why musicians' kids are much more likely to become musically talented.
Ellen's parents have exposed her to all kinds of music from early childhood, and she has been able to play with various musical instrument from age of 2 or so. Her father Hovak Alaverdyan (also in the video) is a professional guitarist and sound engineer.
I'm sure that wasn't all kinds of music, she was spared to know Miley Cyrus. The video when she visited Steve Vai is proof of this.

I think the drummer is the same kid who was on her first video covering Zep's "The Ocean". Although he's older than Ellen, his drumming talent is on par with her bass work. Excellent sound!

Ellen and her dad, Hovac, did another home grown tune called "Don't Stop the Music", a duet where Ellen is MUCH more prominently heard without all the other musicians. Recorded when she was 9 years old and CZcamsd when she was 10. Listen through to the end to put a smile on your face.

Totally Awesome. Her parents are Armenian (Russia) the drummer China. 10 & 12 years old. So glad to finally see real children doing REAL stuff that uplifts people instead of doing criminal stuff like you see on the media about every city USA. Thank you Ellen ❤️

Kids usually don't listen to parents, but they will copy all of your actions, if you want a talented musician kid, you will need to play a lot around them, after that see what instrument they fall for. The rest is practice.
Yes, exactly. Ellen was never asked or forced to play. Her dad started playing to her when she was still in a crib. Same thing happened with YOYOKA. YOYOKA was born into a family of musicians, she used to crawl over to the drums all the time. When she was 1.5 yrs old, they put her on their lap and she has been killing it ever since. At age 11 she was the youngest ever to be added to the DrummerWorld TOp 500 Drummers of ALL TIME. These two girls recorded "THE OCEAN" together after meeting just that day. They arrived together, tuned their instruments, did a sound check then nailed it first take, without any practice together.
