Cops DO get it wrong. Juries DO get it wrong. Eye witness testimonies have sometimes ended up totally OFF. 90% I think this guy did it but this interview was a sham and not at all fair.
If Piers is gonna use body language as a reason to decide someone's guilt or innocence he better realize that MANY people including innocent people would hold their arms like that in a defensive or self protective manner when being questioned like this.

As a journalist I think that Piers Morgan is a pretty skilled interviewer. He did a good job interviewing the family of the victims, as well as the police here. However, he's not in his league at all here in interviewing a convicted serial killer! As Detective Silverman correctly stated, the more Mr. Henriquez talks, then the more that you can see that his story falls apart. So let him talk! There was no need to interrupt him here!

    1) Why in the world would this guy accept this interview where he could only slip and admit?
    2) Is he getting paid for the interview if someone here knows how it works, and if yes what figure are we looking at?
    3) Please do not be disrespectful towards other posters here about the following as i don’t mean disrespect.
How is he getting so overweight in jail?
It’s usually the other way around, no?

Even when drilled down by Piers to answer specific evidence questions he plays semantics, repeats the question to play for thinking time or affect confusion, or redirects. It's all smoke & mirrors & bluff. The evidence was presented in court. His lawyer challenged it. The jury weighed & made a decision on it. No system is perfect, but as stated there is far too much 'circumstantial' evidence for it to have been circumstantial.

The point about the floral underwear he can't refute but he tries to with lies ('the police told me about them'). His own nephew testified in the trial Henriquez persuaded him to fake a call to the media as the 'real' murderer with a script including those details. Yes I think I would have liked Piers to have probed more for Henriquez's 'truth' but this interview was about a battle of wills & control for Henriquez.

It's not a lie detector. It's measuring sweat, heart rate and breathing variations which will show when the person is stressed. They use another type of test for male predators that involves a device placed around the males p€n1s and detects movements when the predator is shown images at random and then a random child is shown and if the pred is attracted to her/him then his member will move. The better test is a voice stress analysis.
