    I watched the interview on Talk Sport and Jordan couldn't help himself, but try to change the narrative to what he wanted to hear. Stefan explained the difficulty in proving the charges against the club, as it would mean that dozens of individuals and 3rd parties (with a vest interest and no vested interest) would have in on the fraud and it is this charge, which explains why this case will take longer to be assessed... let alone City pleading their innocence and not admitting to their guilt (Everton|). But hey, why let facts get in the way of a great clickbait... the only thing we will probably be found guilty of, is that we didn't co-operate in a timely fashion. And why should we, even Simon Jordan who has been involved in a fraud case admitted in the same interview that co-operation on his side wasn't forthcoming.
    My only concern is the PL feel they have a whistle blower, but again, the PL would have been more bullish if they had and would have announced it. If and it's a very BIG IF, and city are found guilty, then we will appeal immediately.

    Go on Johnny lad. Just want to point out, neither the PL or UEFA could ever argue with the value of Etihad deal itself. I recommend you check the following pages of the CAS verdict report on City's case, in order(maybe put highlighted screenshots of it in a video, the haters will fume): Page 24 - item 16, Page 27 - item 37 and Page 78 - item 289.
    Page 24 item 16 - Direct quote: 'It is not even in issue that the agreements were entered into at fair market value.' This is City pointing out UEFA didn't take issue with the value of the deals themselves at any point from 2011 to 2020(neither did the PL).
    Page 27 item 37 - City show why this was(they couldn't, so they needed to find something else wrong with it...) by revealing that UEFA got their own audits back from several approved audit firms in 2012/13, which showed the Etihad deal was within the acceptable range. By that season the Etihad deal had increased to £67m, where values they got back went from £40m-77m so it was comfortably lower than the highest one.
    Page 78 item 289 - Direct quote: 'The majority of the panel finds Etihad Sponsorship Agreements are presumed to be negotiated at fair value and that MCFC, HHSM, ADUG and Etihad are considered not to be related parties'.

      Fraud is a criminal act, and if the PL accuse City of it then it becomes of interest to the police fraud squad and the serious fraud office and HMRC.
      Failure to report suspected fraud to the authorities is in itself a criminal offence.

But I think that Man City might sue them for defamation as the charge was let open to public before they were ready to be presented to the court. Let's first hope that we can be cleared of them. I would enjoy it more than trophy we have won thus far.

    Oh and remember not to compare the Etihad deal with a straight shirt deal. If you break it down into 3 parts, it's not that high for a top 4 club with ambitions of competing every season in all comps. A club that ended up not missing a single CL season, for the whole of that initial 10 year contract, winning lots, signing some PL greats along the way.
    Even Spurs are getting £40m a season on their shirt sponsor deal, so you could argue £45-50m easily for City.
    The stadium naming is worth at least £15m a season considering the amount of big games that came with the aforementioned points. Especially if a Turkish team can earn close to £10m a season, in a league that doesn't get anywhere near PL global broadcast views.
    The Etihad campus cannot be argued with as a massive success either, £10-15m is easily justifiable(state of the art facility, one of the best academies in the UK producing top talent). United got £10m per season for crappy Carrington from AON all the way back in 2014.... The media continued to call it Carrington from what I remember.
    More recently struggling Barca who no longer have Messi, managed to agree a £79m a season deal with Spotify for shirt and stadium naming rights. Break that down how you like but it only has two parts vs City's 3 because the training campus isn't part of their deal they are still getting £12m more per season.

    • @Metali-tin
      @Metali-tin Před 4 měsíci +1

      Oh and I can't see the message(filtered because you overdid it in your triggered rage) from the ill in formed jumped up Arsenal fan but what I wrote is backed up with facts. By the way try and get the year right(I saw enough to catch you out on that), the 'controversial deal' was signed in 2011and yes City were a top 4 club at that time, they won the league in the first year of that deal(pretty good value if you ask me). Barca's Spotify deal is the nail in coffin for all of that nonsense but I added older deals for smaller clubs and the United 2014 AON Carraington deal for further context. That is important because I've seen some sources value the Stadium naming deal at £20m, which seems to completely be ignoring the Etihad campus part. I'll also mention that Spurs were close to signing a £21m per year deal for the naming rights of their stadium(Spurs are much smaller club than City globally and this was also post COVID and start of Ukraine war), I suggest you read some of those articles where they talk about the deals found in other sports(such as the NFL) as well as the admittance that Arsenal's current £4m a season is severely undervalued. The athletic have also done articles recently asking the question if football clubs missing out by not capitalising on stadium naming deals(there are a lot of clubs with no deal at all).

    • @Metali-tin
      @Metali-tin Před 4 měsíci +1

      The way the press compared Arsenal's with City's to say it was overvalued is a prime example of a cherry pick and a disingenuous comparison. As was comparing straight shirt deals with the Etihad deal(there is no defending that). The Emirates deal(the first PL UAE state airline stadium naming deal and the second shirt deal after Chelsea in 2001) was signed in 2004. This agreement likely helped them secure the bank loans to begin construction, along with Wenger promising to stay. Because before that, Arsenal were begging for a government subsidy to pay for all of it(Wenger saying French clubs don't pay anything and that Bayern got theirs for 1 Euro). The City deal was signed in 2011, that's and 7 year difference. The PL saw a lot of growth in those 7 years, there is data to back that up(the PL broadcasting deals for one). The main reason it's a bad comparison though, is Arsenal simply did poor negotiations(the press are even saying that now, even Arsenal fans are admitting it, finally), they didn't get as much as they could have got AND they tied themselves into contracts that were too long. The details of the Emirates 2004 deal are hazy because the stadium deal was a 15 year contract(signed in 2004) and the shirt one was a 7 year deal starting from 2006/07, with guardian saying the deal was worth £100m overall. They estimated the stadium deal at around £3m a season. Which IS low even when you compare it to smaller clubs and smaller leagues than the PL, such as Atletico Madrid(£8.4m) Febernache(£7m) and even Besiktas(£6m). None of those clubs are worth more than any of the big 6 club's in the PL to a sponsor and Arsenal in 2024 are not worth more to a sponsor either. To them, arguments about heritage, who has the most twitter fans or fans in Asia mean very little, CL appearances, title challenges, consistently being in season defining games, having the world class players known the world over, playing an attractive brand of football(some PL fans are lying to themselves, Pep's brand of football is loved globally not just in the UK).

    • @Metali-tin
      @Metali-tin Před 4 měsíci +1

      All these years of 'but but Arsenal have more fans in the USA so they should be worth more' was always nonsense from people who don't understand how the business side of football works. Same as the people who said City earning more commercial revenue than Real shouldn't be possible. To start, the fist time they said it(the COVID season) City's commercial revenue wasn't higher than Real's, City had only moved up one place on that because United had to pay a rebate to Chevrolet(an overvalued deal, admitted by Chevrolet who moved someone on for that blunder... American owners, overvalued American sponsorship deal... but nobody cares because it's not City) and they lost bonuses for missing out on the CL etc. If people learned how to read the Deloitte reports properly they'd have seen City were 4th on commercial revenue, the broadcast and prize money was what made the biggest difference and since City went far in every competition(only missed the FA cup final out of all possible games) it's easy to see why and why nobody was asking for any rebates(how could they?). What they also would have noticed was all the Spanish clubs were dropping down the revenue rankings(that's a symptom of La Liga losing it's pull), Bayern and PSG were already above Real by then, why weren't people fuming about that and saying that should be impossible? Since then, City's commercial revenue has grown but 3 in a row, a treble and Haaland(arguably more star power than Mbappe, who may be a better player but isn't as popular, Haaland shirts are all over Europe right now), even Grealish(likened to the modern Beckham such was the clamour when he broke into the England set up.. in terms of media attention, look at his brand deals for example) and so on will do that. Some of you are just in denial about City's growth, lying about empty seats and overseas fanbase(not as big as the big sky 3 yet but easily 4th biggest right now).

    City and Chelsea are guilty and we all know it regardless of the biased opinions. The rules are the rules and both of these clubs have abused the premiership and enjoyed long periods of success based on the fact they spent more money than any other club. The FA have a duty to the game to place both of these teams at the bottom of the footballing pyramid, fined and stripped of the countless trophies they should never have won and would not have done if they played by the rules.
