    Kris, quite a challenge, one that I often attempt. Some thing I learned is to think of the problems you will encounter and try to start early. I'm working on Christmas now, so I can learn and improve on my early mistakes. Love the clock in the top background.

      The clocks are always somewhere around the shop. I've had to move them as I reorganize but they're so nice to have sitting on a shelf. On this project, I did get started too late but it was a last-minute idea I had after printing a small one. It worked out in the end and I'll have this for years to come!

    Thats cool and the infill gives a in the clouds look with the light inside. That Sunlu does string, Ive given up trying to dial it out as its not blobby just angel hair, easy to remove lightly with a stainless scouring pad from the kitchen. (Oh, finally have Ender5+ running with BTT Minie3v3 TFT35, Shop fixed, took them 6 weeks!!!! Theres me thinking id gone nuts lol)

    Very impressive!!!!! This printer has the same build capacity as the Creality CR-10S5, but how does it compare in print quality??

    Awesome video! Kind of reminds me of myself : print first - measure never 🙂

    I had the same issue, the MOSFET was dead out of the box. I bought the same one you're using on Amazon.

    Scale everything at the same time in the slicer

    • @kerseyfabs
      @kerseyfabs  Před 7 měsíci

      Typically, yes. This time, each piece would only fit on the bed individually and I kept tweaking my settings, so that didn't happen.

    This printer has been sort of a nightmare for me and quite a few others on r/t500
    Bed not heating (r17)
    Bed bubbles like CRAZY
    Bed bubbles may be the issue with first layer adhesion as well. For some reason the first layer or 2 always want to peel away from the rest of the print, especially on the edges.

    • @kerseyfabs
      @kerseyfabs  Před 4 měsíci

      The bed heating was definitely an issue! They acknowledged it and hopefully are providing replacement parts. I also just fixed a bunch of other parts including a broken extruder arm, burnt out/maybe melted fan, and a bad connection on the extruder motor. There has been a lot of maintenance on this machine so far.

      Details! What didn't you like about it?

    FYI, they are offering build plate replacements for everyone who jas this issue. I just bought one. 😁
    Can you supply a link to the mosfet just in case.

    • @kerseyfabs
      @kerseyfabs  Před 6 měsíci

      Here was the fix to their mosfet: Removing the "R17" resistor should fix the issue.
      If you need it, something like this one should work: amzn.to/3MYbqm7

    I’ll probably try a Tronxy PEI plate on mine. The cutouts for the bolts are a bit annoying though.

    • @kerseyfabs
      @kerseyfabs  Před 7 měsíci

      The bolts are really nice when you're aligning the bed.

    Hi Kris, I have the same MOSFET problem....what have you fixed at the original MOSFET?? Best regards, Oli

    How would you rate the t500 print quality?

    • @kerseyfabs
      @kerseyfabs  Před 7 měsíci

      Overall I'm really happy with its consistency and quality. When you're printing with the 0.8mm nozzle though and trying to go at 200mm/s it can have some artifacts and stringing. I'm going to be backing off to 0.6mm and tuning that in. I think the results will be better. That just comes from personal experience with 0.8mm vs. 0.6mm.

      But i did mention a third party that also offered prints, so sorry if that was the reason for the delete.

    Anyone else have big problems with the x-axis shifting layers? There's a lot of it on reddit but on youtube everything seems fine. Mine is impossible to get a useful print from. $900 IN THE TRASHBIN. Support from the company is nonexistent.

    • @kerseyfabs
      @kerseyfabs  Před 24 dny

      Sorry to hear it! For me, it's about slowing down if it's shifting and, as a last resort, enable Z-hop.
