This lil one reminds me of myself. My father passed away when I was 4 years old. He went to work as usual, then came home in a coffin. Even though I saw him there, I remember waiting for him everyday thinking he d be back after work. Even after I became a teen, I still thought his passing was not real, and he d come back to suprice us. Feel as if I m still waiting as a 34 years old adult. 😭
Ninu Sur, I know how you feel. My dad passed away when I was only 10 years old. Even at 50+ years old I still miss him so much. That heartache is something that doesn't ever really goes away, but I believe we will see ours dad's again in Heaven one day. I remember repenting of my sins and asking Jesus Christ into my heart heart. I accepted him as my Lord and savior when I was 11. One... I want to go back home to be with Jesus in heaven when I leave this earth. Two... I wanted to make sure I see my dad again. I loved this movie. It made me cry. Losing a parent is hard enough, but if you never had to lose a parent as a child you can't really understand. You move on with your life, but you never forget them. You're world is turned upside down. I might as well say I lost my dad and my mom. She never felt like my mom ever again after that. She moved on with her life by getting remarried. I felt like I was jerked up by the hair of the head and told...your gonna do what I tell you to do. It wasn't right.🥺 I needed her to be there for me. Instead all she cared about was herself. Thank God I had some decent grandparent's who were good to me. I don't know where I would be today if it wasn't for them and my dad's family as well. Anyway, God bless you. I pray God will heal our broken hearts and we'll see our daddy's again someday. 🙏🙏🙏❤✝️

I’m Sorry for your loss especially at such a young age. My Dad passed in 1996. I came across a saying which fits “Old as she was, she still missed her Daddy sometimes.” I’m 67 yo. Luckily I see him in my dreams! Your Dad is always with you! 💙

It’s the last 20 minutes where the amazing magic happens in this family’s life. My mother came to me 1-1/2 months after she died, and it took every fear of death away from my soul. It’s a place of bliss and the other side is our true home.

This story touched my heart, when at the end, I found out it was based on a true story, I cried not only for this little girl but for another little girl that was asking Santa (my husband as Santa) to bring back her Daddy, she believed if anyone could, it would be Santa. My husband (Santa) thought about divorce, deployment, etc. when he asked her "where's your Daddy?" she said, "Heaven". I'm just so proud of how he handled the request, and am sure he made a difference in this little girl's life. I can't imagine just how many little ones have lost their fathers/mothers out there that are struggling with the loss. Thank you for this movie, even though it made me cry.

@@pedrojacqueline1032 - I hope you will find the way to express your feelings for your mum - there is such a tender way to call her mum - and you can think of her, write her a card, a letter, a message in a bottle or a page in your (new) journal, so that in time, your sorrow will turn into a pleasant remainder of her, and the unsaid words will be said or turn into sweet dreams...
I guess the idea is to tell her how nice it is to be with her again...

13 years ago i Iost my dad..
my 2 year old daughter released a heart shape balloon with a note at her grandad's funeral, it was a beautiful sunny day with blue skies and random fluffy white clouds,we all stood in silence to watch the balloon travell up into the sky,every now and then it twinkled and shined with the sunlight reflecting on it as the distance between us got further, then to our surprise the big fluffy white cloud parted in the centre and allowed my daughter's balloon to travel through the gap before the cloud reunited and became whole again...we never saw the balloon after that.
That was our Miracle ,that left us all overwhelmed yet comforted by the grace of God and the gift of love xxx

Beautiful story. I esp liked the ending where it showed the real life family the story is based on. The little actress playing the part of Desree was really talented for her age. The balloon/ice cream man/mailman/farmer must have been some type of guardian angel .

Grandmother forgot herself to making sure her daughter finds love and move on while Daisy's mum did the same for her daughter. love is forever..

Wow based on true story, I seem to remember a story like this years ago!! Is where I got the Idea of sending balloons out to heaven my granddaughter and family when we lost her mom 1 mo after giving birth to her 3rd child. Then lost her son Almost 3yrs, then my mom was and has been most hardest to go through. What keeps me going is that I know Ill see them again in heaven. ❤🙏🎈🎈🎈
Loved this movie I lost my Dad when I was 9 1/2 years old I new what death was that my dad wasn't coming back but I new my Dad was by side in my heart ❤️ and still is to this Day.

I Love this move!! It's exactly the kind of movie Hollywood needs to make more of but won't for some reason
I really don't have one bad word for the movie because it was all so good! Heartwarming and joyful, I know there's pain in losing your daddy, even in your 50's buy there was joy in watching this little girl grow I'm her grief. I'm not sure if telling your child that angels took your daddy is the thing to day because that might make them resent angels but... sometimes on that situations you don't know what to say. I will recommend this movie and I'm even sharing this on my Facebook page! Wonderful family movie or for a person in a rainy day!

I can't remember I have seen any movie about kids been so cute and so sweet. This is how kids should be brought up.
This is the way I was brought up. Full with manners, respect for elderly and how she use her name first in any sentences. Totally different from kids now days. Majority of kids now days start sentences with F... World first and that is very unrespectful. Human being is loosing it. The world is loosing it.
A bit embarrassing to say this, but at 50 over now and I don't know how many times my eyes cried watching this movie. 🙂

I thought I remembered hearing about something like this. A lovely true story to make a movie from.
It didn't say at the start that it was a true story (or I missed it), but I had feelings all the way through that it was, and the end titles just blew me away. Amazing story, would have liked to know if the mother ended up with the pilot though.

Not all children are as fortunate as this little girl. My daddy left us many times without saying goodbye and I grew up without the love of a responsible and good father. I still carry the emotional scars of being abandoned. Perhaps if I was pampered like this little girl my life would have been different. I just had to grow up fast and accept what life dealt to me.
I feel you. And you're right. It is an amazing thing to actually have parents love you like that. But though we envy their luck, that doesn't mean they are pampered. And with loving much, there's also losing much, with an intense pain, that you and I don't get to have either.
Ours is more of a lifelong dreary pain, that tends to cast a shadow over our lives. They mourn for what they lost. We mourn for what we could never have. To each their own pain. I for one am looking forward to that wonderful day, when God is wiping every tear from my eyes and every hurt memory from my soul and welcomes me into His Kingdom of utter love and deep peace forever more.
