This is one of those games that makes other devs wonder what they are even doing. So many details!
Other devs: lets use the template we have for that Assassin's Creed/Call of Duty/2K game we release almost every year!
The cool things were the cool bros we befriended along the way🗿
So much attention to detail! The drill one is actually very creative, and the animations for each character clapping at the end exemplify how much care went into every bit of Super Mario Bros. Wonder. This was a great series of videos. I'm actually kind of sad that this is the last one. See you in the next game!
Rip to a legendary series
I got a detail- Bowser Jr has some unique reactions when you confront him with the invisibility badge. Also, Rage Stage Bowser claims to be able to see through your invisibility badge, but while his hands home in on you to crush you, he can’t actually see you! He doesn’t home in on you when he does his giant fireball attack, his eyes don’t follow you at all during the fight, and he doesn’t get angry in the final phase when you destroy the hand near the top of the screen

Honestly, Beta Wonder Mario kinda reminds me of Hotel/Super Show! Mario
Random detail: If you use invisibility in "Hoppycat trials: Up up and away!" and hit the block below the red hoppycat at the start of the level, you will be rewarded with a fire flower where you hit it
The beta look for Mario resembles how he appeared in the illustrations of the earlier games, like the key art for Super Mario Bros..
That old Mario looks like he cane straight out of a McDonalds ad

Here is one thing that I am confused about that doesn't appear in the final. In the wonder direct, there is a section where you would drill up to and then the talking flower would say, "Woah! Wasn't expecting company." I am wondering whether that is in the final game or not is all...

You're supposed to climb a stacked pumpkin (the one where if you destroy said pumpkin, a Flower that talks about eating veggies will pop up) in Up Shroom Down Shroom level and use the drill for the ceiling there. I think that's where you get to meet the Flower you're talking about.
When a character starts to wall jump they do a animation each time you wall jump

I know it was the “last” part (hopefully not) but I found out that in the desert mystery wonder effect, if you get to the end (after doing it the intended way) and climb over the right wall (with certain badges) and fall to the right on top of the moving wall then there is a secret flower bud and a hidden block
So this means that mario wonder has 168 cool details hidden in it! (as we know for know)

Do you know where we can access the GDC2024 footage? I wasn't able to find it. I mean, I mainly want the Zelda portion, but this would be cool too.
Sure, search for the official GDC Vault website; the Zelda panel is called "Tunes of the Kingdom", the Mario Wonder one is called "2D and tomorrow". Hope this helps :)

Yep this is what nintendo became , unfortunately instead of making the game packed with sercet levels , passages , they like to wdd random stuff no one cares about. I really prefer the older mario 3d model it looked like something from a 2d n64 mario game "what if" , the current one is better than nsmb of course but i liked how before mario was different in each game , wish they would bring back the 2d sprites on 2d mario.
