The house is alright, but there's quite intensive traffic nearby .. noisy .. and the neighbor also seems to be right next door .. so that place would be a total turnoff for me .. anyway, good luck with your purchase ✌
Hi, the noise wasn't heard from the house or round the back, the neighbours a doctor who lives in the city and is only there at the weekend, I'm of the same feeling though, I want no noise too
Lots of problems with water retention, run-off and soil erosion at the entrance. _ Cost you a fair amount of money to bring that in order to start off with. This is a big project all the way 'round with large renovation costs.
Thanks for your comments, we'd had some heavy thunder storms and the house was empty so a little preventing would sort that as 300 days of sun per year is more of an issue, the video made it look drier than it was, thanks again
The house is very nice though.
Looks good but I personally wouldn't keep the Eucalyptus as the harm the drop and oil is so flammable. Lots of clearing and pruning but as you said house is liveable. Thanks for the tour....
Great point!
There's only a couple of them on the land so a little preventive maintenance would do ,thanks for the comment, Mark
The Eucalyptus trees are large and isolated. Surely shade and survival of trees in such a climate is the first consideration of caring for the land in both Spain and Portugal. Then there is the prevention of soil erosion the next. Then water retention. If you start chopping down those beautiful big trees that stand alone, if you treat your land in a permaculture manner, keep your brushgrowth down to a minimum and adhere to the fire prevention rules, using swales as bushfire clearance areas and always having in the back of your mind the possibility of bushfires (note the fire extinguishers in the house!), there is much that can be done to mitigate the event of fires.
@carolleenkelmann4751
I wouldn't have chopped them, they just need some management ,same with grass any olives
Don't get me wrong I LOVE getting stoned , I MEAN THE PLACE 🙂
Not keen myself ,good if you cut it and use it, the stone I mean lol
Seems expensive for Portugal.
Maybe but not a ruin and open to offers
Is that a Well , yea it's NICE he says😅 ok we'll just squeeze the Olive trees 🌳 for water ???? 💧
Ha! Anyway was wondering about the other place you had for around 35,000.. kinda cottage type ( I just couldn't find it again on here , if it's still available
Yes there's a well type thing, you could bath in olive oil 🛢 😉
Hi yes, this is ours and we live it, we might sell if we find something else that suits us but local as its a fantastic village 😀

It looks rather arrived. Does anything produce flowers. I'm a beekeeper and I'm curious.
Arrid
Hi, yes bee hives are around, in fact only 1/2 a mile away is a man who sells Mel, from the back of that house you can see his house, thanks Mark
Friendly advice, as a portuguese i can guarantee you that Castelo Branco district is too hot for confort, for agriculture and even for living (except if you can easily stand temperatures over 30C between june and October). That's why "nobody" leaves there, and that's why it is so cheap to buy land there.
Nobody lives in CB? 👨 it is the main city of the region. It is hot Everywhere in summer in Portugal.
Thank you for the comments but 180000 people in the castelo branco region might disagree, including all the farmers, the problem if any is the young people move away to earn more money and easier work
@@yorkshiretoportugal If 3 or 4 months of infernal heat a year don't bother you, great.
But agriculture in the Castelo Branco district is difficult because of summer heat and low rainfall (around 700 mm per year). That's why C Branco, as all the other interior districts, has always had a much lower population density than the coastal regions.
Anyway, welcome to PT and all the luck!
I wouldn't call the price being asked for, 125,000Euros - 3/4 Hectares (ie approx 2.5 acres to 1 Hectar) so that is less than 2 acre, cheap or value for money. So, 50, 000 Euros per acre and 25,000 Euros for the house. Or, 50,000 Euros for the land, leaving 75,000 Euros for the house which needs a lot of renovating, at least 100, 000 Euros worth of needed renovations. Then you have to get reliable builders and handworkers. The House is a semi-detached 👎. The windows are all single glazed👎The sewerage (septic drainage) would need looking into 👎. The irrigation system??????
@@yorkshiretoportugal don't worry about these comments. Hot is necessary and also the rain ( as in these days, that it has been raining a lot, because it fills the dams.)
Thought you were well out of order with your comments ? Check who you are replying to first , as once it is said ,you cannot go back . Just saying 👍
I have rectified comment, thanks for your observation
