Welcome to Modern Homestead Alaska. We are located in South Central Alaska near the town of Wasilla. Living in Alaska and building our dream of “modern Homesteading” through the wilds of winter and the long summer days. We started building our Modern Homestead in 2021. We have since completed the upper levels of our home. Built a 16x16 foot chicken coop that dreams are made of. Our chicken ladies live in luxury as they view the beautiful lake from large windows inside the beautiful coop. We raise our own poultry, hunt for our food. We are avid fisherman And woman. We also built an amazing and beautiful wood shed. We have great big garden planes for the future. Join us as we dream big dreams and live everyday working hard to accomplish them.

I LOVE the doors. As contractors we understand the time and skill that went into those doors. If anyone has tried to even adjust their cabinet door, they’d understand. What a beautiful accomplishment! I vote to stain those gorgeous doors.

That’s the first animal we got for our farm. I named her Bessie and she was the sweetest cow. She followed me around like a puppy dog. My husband said I had her spoiled.

Our puppy Jesse Curley is actually a 9 year old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. He and our other dog, Bella are our loves, just as your beautiful Peaches. Thank you for your kind words. I don’t know much about raising farm animals but, I’ve learned a lot from you!

Hello Modern Homestead Alaska. First off, before I forget, this is regarding your emergency prep video. Since we watched it, Larry has been seeing more ads lately for survival food kits. Makes you wonder.🤔 We were wrong. Our pick was a horse. Building that barn you all made it look so simple. Our pick is paint the barn like your home. We have lots at Home Depot to build small barns, sheds,and even a little house for like an in-laws place. Cute calf. Looking forward to you educating us on Peaches.

Yes I honestly can’t wait. Not going to lie it would be nice to have the milk now, but going into winter and having time to get fully set up build out the area for milking buy all the supplies, I’m not complaining.
