    It turned out great, I love the walk-through of the process. Great video.

    Great video. You hit on a number of points that I always keep in mind with the props I've made for my projects. I think it's something that's missing from a lot of newer movies that can just afford to have everything custom made/3-D printed, that lived in feel.

    Brilliant, such an inspiration. Something I hope to try myself at some point, so many ideas and projects and never enough time! Lol. Well done.

    Very cool! I totally see that working as a plasma rifle in Doom or a similar game.

    Love your endless enthusiasm! You make it look easy though, I got into prop making after watching some of your videos and have much more respect for your ability to pull projects off quickly now. Looking forward to seeing your future projects!

    Awesome and inspiring. Love the painters tape trick to trace areas of an object and make stencils. Think I'll borrow that 😉

      yeah its a really ez accurate way to pattern , duct tape is good too for clothing patterns

    1. It would be cool if you took those "grate" looking things on the underside of the gun, cut out the slots, and put a metal mesh in there as a sort of "bad government design" cooling system.
    2. I notice you have some "notches" right on the barrel (?) of the gun, almost like some sort of gear. It would be awesome to have 4 lasers on the barrel for added "military" effect.
    3. Not sure how good it would look, but you could replace the "pump action" part of the gun with a tactical flashlight.
    4. You could buy some fake dog tags and attach them to the handle, so that not only does the prop have an unspoken backstory, but the character holding it does as well.

    When you use bottle caps as greeblies, do you just super glue around the edges? Or somehow attach it more firmly?

      You can also get a similar effect from military sniper veils. I've several military and prepper types use those, by loosely draping them on a weapon, and giving it a few passes with 2 or 3 colors.

    What could you use to add weight to the piece.... To make it appear to have more heft?

    • @createscifi
      @createscifi  Před 4 lety +1

      a more metallic paint job , brushed metal rather then camo
