  • This video is Part Two.
Needed to get out of the triple degree heat immediately so I loaded up the DR650 and headed North to higher elevations into the West Central Utah Highlands.
Fantastic scenery and cooler temps made the riding awesome! Decided to turn the ride into a big loop which ended up being just over 400 miles that took me into Cedar Break National Monument and beyond with elevations ranging from 10,000ft to 8500ft. This is the way for the next few months until temps begin to drop again in the lower desert, high elevation riding!
    Two videos of this trip!
First video is more dirt and the second video has some interesting attractions like ancient Petroglyphs and Butch Cassidys (outlaw) childhood home. Great ride on the DR650!

the drawings on the rocks predate I-Pads, they are ancient emoji's on the I-Rock tablets, made by the Granite company. 😁😁 Great trip. Garth

Enjoyed the ride. Glad you rode Toms Best on the way to Black Canyon. I imagine that if you had more time, taking 17 at Widtsoe Jct up to Boulder Mt would have been a real treat. Beautiful up there. Thanks

The heat has been the big negative in Nevada also. Had to head into the Sierras and rode above 8,000 to escape it.

Nice ride! I was wondering does the dr run cool when you hit those higher temps, especially when you're riding the dirt
