According to Google, Mitch's highest professionally recorded note is an A5, in "Praying." Incidentally, Mitch has a solo career under the name "Messer," but he did record a cover of Billie Eilish's "Your Power" that is just extraordinary. It's almost painful to listen to, it's so good.

Defying gravity from the play wicked. is considered a difficult song on Broadway to sing by famous sopranos. Mitch sings it higher that the sopranos on Superfruit. He’s 🤯

After you watch enough videos you will be able to tell which year it was made by how Mitch looks. He changes so much, so frequently that people wonder if it is still him. Mitch is always there. He just looks different sometimes.
Yes! Also, combine with Kirsties hair, Scott having a beard or not and Matt or Avi, and you can get down to pretty darn small windows of time just from a visual, haha.

I think Sing next. AAnd you need to try The Wizard of Ahhh's. If you watch Aha, Singapore the Star Vista live YOU DEFINETLY will get Mitch 'Slapped'. Avi blew the speakers on occasion with this song. It is AWESOME! And before you ask, Kevin is there he just had to put up Beyoncé from previous song. The fan who recorded this concert was a Mitch fan for sure and didn't record Kevin when he came back on stage. Loved your enthusiasm and overall happiness! It's contagious! You would definitely live their original Sing. It's upbeat and so much fun, you can't help but move.
I'm sure you noticed how they customized the lyrics to tell their story, "couch" "Texas" etc. They do that on a lot of their covers. Royals at the end they change up to their street clothes and say they never knew they could get that far.... Have a listen to Mitch rapping in their cover of Problem and another AMAZING musical they do is Wizard of Ahs. You will LOVE IT! Great job!

I cannot stop smiling when I watch your reactions. You are so much fun! I am not sure I've ever heard Avi rap, but the other five absolutely all can. Avi probably can, too, he's pretty much amazing all around. You'll see more of it as you go and you will LOVE it.
I think Avi is the only Pentatonix member to have not rapped in a ptx music video but yeah, they are very versitile as a group. They can do almost any genre and have fun doing it.

Avi doesn't rap. He does do a little beat boxing and some throat bass. The closest he got to rapping was in Thrift Shop (Macklemore and Lewis) and it wasn't real close. He sings, plays instruments (guitar and mandolin), writes music and lyrics, and directs (at Acapella Academy).

Mitch is a countertenor...he can hit whistle notes like a coloratura soprano.
If you want to hear Kevin rap a very personal verse written by him for what he was going through with PTX’s success early on in their professional lives, check out the song “If I Fall.” It was from an EP he did as a side project with two women (Antoniette and Tara) that they called Triptyq. I really like their music, but no one ever reacts to it.
To hear angelic high notes from Mitch listen to The Prayer. If you want to hear rap then Feeling Myself by Superfruit is fun.
That was the first song from PTX volume 2. It was a really good EP. It also had Daft Punk and their original song Run to You which is a song that packs an emotional gut punch. A punch is too light a term. It might really be a sledge hammer or wrecking ball.

if you want to hear something COMPLETELY different and unexpected from them you need to check out their cover of "Papaoutai" from Stromae. they sing in FRENCH (and are accompanied by Lindsey Stirling on violin and Kevin plays chello).
They don't have a full proper ptx evolution but during their 2019-2020 (well... you know... early 2020) tour they had a segment doing snippets of some of their old songs. This recording from Japan has full, good sound, good performance, quiet audience. Don't know if you want to do it yet and get small spoilers/teasers of songs or wait until you've done more of their stuff.

Look up Mitch Grassi singing range. He can do whistle notes and can imitate a sharpie marker.
He has a 6+ octave vocal range, not including whistle notes!
all I can say is if you want a BIG Slap in the face, then you have to check out "Aha - Singapore Star Vista" it's from a fan phone so the quality isn't the best but you hear everything you need to. It does look like Kevin isn't there, but he is putting Beyonce (Cello) away after the previous song and you can just see Mitch move over to allow Kevin to join the rest of them onstage, enjoying all your reactions but too get a fuller picture of how/why Pentaholics came about you need to do Pentatonix run on 'The Sing Off - Season 3' and just see the growth they made even in that short period. If you notice, there are five locations/costume combinations. Kevin, the church-going classically trained musician, has the chapel and the band in formalwear. Scott, the extraverted fun-lover, has skateboard-wear and the campus outdoors . Kirstin, the Broadway fan, has clubwear. Avi, the outdoorsman, has denim and flannel and the great outdoors. And Mitch who calls himself a nerd, has geeky looks on the colonnade between classes.
