  • I am on journey to learning from the old and o boy!!! I kid not when I say after my 3rd listening to Elvis Presley, especially after the expositions and tremendous resources I got from the comment section after I uploaded Bridge over troubled waters which by the way, I shot on the same day as suspicious minds, it's been like a EUREKA moment for me!!!!
I want to quickly give a shout out to the following people who have been so generous with educating and helping me understand the man ELVIS. To better learn from him, I needed to know who he was. These people haven't held back and I say a HUGE thank you to @mojobag01, @Max Lannon, My awesome @ Margaret Taylor, ‪@JohnMcTrollson‬, My admirable @Mitzi Wyman, the authentic @Barry Young, @richard bruske, @PoboyNCoke, @Steve Murray, Kevin Davidson 💕💕💕 and many more. Thank you so much all🙏
N:B : I had to trim out some parts that gave this video copyright issues like a good 6mins portion sadly.

Hi Christine. When he passed in 1977 I was only 6 and didn’t know who he was until a I watched a documentary on him here in the UK one year after when I was 7. When they revealed at the end of the documentary that he had died I ran out of the room and cried...he was like a super hero to me. So unfortunately no, I was too young to see him live and live in the UK not the US. He was a special human.

@@christineokosun you know, that's an EXCELLENT point! Which reminds me of a figure in history whose name escapes me but I'll figure it out. But this person, this figure was a prince, king or emperor or something, centuries ago and his face was considered the most beautiful face, and his singing voice was considered to be the most beautiful voice... and his face, which is all we have left because this was of course, ancient times, looked like an overlay of Elvis' face. a liitle story on how it started back in 1954. at sun records elvis was rehearsing with his band 2 other guys and nothing seem to be working, so sam phillips said take a break. so elvis was goofing around and started singing (thats alright mamma) sam came running out and said thats what i needed and recorded it and the rest is history he was more of a tenor back then so if you listen to that from 1954 then also listen to him singing it in 1968 on his comeback special on tv dressed in his black leather outfit great comparison seeing the evolution

I would say more of an Underdeveloped baritone back then in my own opinion. He had the ears for what a good sound ought to be and he opened up himself as a student to the very best ( he had ears to tell who the best were) and keenly listened and absorbed and refined it to his own unique sound, styles and physiology.
The ever amazing part is that he was self taught. Many would have had a teacher and ended up as Underdeveloped voices but not Elvis!!!!! That self taught part is unbelievable!!??? What most can't still figure out uptill now amongst so many self acclaimed vocal academy etc, He, Sir Elvis Presley, figured it out on time through his own ears. AMAZING!!!!

Elvis was 35 in 70 when this performance took place. In the mid to late 50s he was the premier singer of rock'n'roll when that genre was new. I'm not sure if you would approve of how he used his voice during that period. If you can get it watch the Jailhouse Rock video from that time. Recently she's made some videos where technicians have created the illusion that she's singing with her father. For fans it's emotional. Lisa Marie Presley has given her father 4 grandchildren;but with tragedy. Benjamin, her son recently committed suicide. She has a daughter who is an actress/model. Lisa looks like Elvis. One music video that Lisa Marie made is called Lights Out and it's supposed to have something to do with her father, Graceland (their home), and their town of Memphis.

Appreciate your insightful reactions. No videos but one or two songs you may find interesting by Elvis are - ‘Surrender’ - ‘Such A Night’ - ‘Any Day Now’ - ‘It’s Now Or Never’ - or one of my favourite ballads ‘Anything That’s Part Of You’. If you want to do the ultimate reaction song, and what I consider the ultimate Elvis song, then watch "If I Can Dream," In the white suit (Not the black leather outtake version). It was how he closed the '68 come back special, And was written Based on his feelings towards the then recent murders of Dr. Martin Luther King, and Robert Kennedy. No he didn't; however, he was an arranger of songs, it was Elvis who decided where to bring in more bass, more piano, more drums, or less of he decided to. So he gave every song what I call the Elvis sound as he very much made each song his and in more ways than only vocally. That's not something everyone can do

Dear lady, I respect your opinion and this is your channel. Why do you do a 45 minute analysis of a 10 minute performance. Why do you have such a need to play 8 seconds then do a 3 minute analysis? This is boring to those watching (I DO UNDERSTAND THIS IS A REACTION VIDEO). I truly am not attacking you to be critical but it is a total turn off. Try watching more of the video before stopping and starting so much. I think you will have more subscribers. GOD BLESS YOU.

Thanks for your suggestion but I'm doing the best I can to avoid copyrights like I used to have when I let it play for more than 8seconds.
