Also, 50 years ago there was such thing as CLIMATE COOLING?! This being further disproven when you realise Greenland never used to be covered in ice. Lol.
“Co2 is bad for the ozone layer and is making it bigger”. ha. So basically we should get rid of co2 and kill ourselves. Yes, this is what has happened to society. The error in 'climate change', is to conclusively deduce that by association/cause and effect, CO2 is tied to warming. Yes CO2 is a greenhouse gas as are other molecules as well. But to prejudicely deduce a sole cause and effect tying the two together is unscientific. And here's why. A satellite can take a reading and input it into a computer model, and earth sensors can monitor CO2 tying the two together. But there is no macro geologic study of whats going on inside the earth itself. A satellite and a CO2 sensor tell us nothing about the internal structure of this monster we call earth. One example, the recent eruption in Hawaii. How much heat was released, just in this one event. And on the topic of glaciers, the Pine Island Glacier sits on top of an active ancient volcano! And yet we have accepted a condescending expectation of what the 'heat' amount should be, to a prejudicial correlation to something we have control over CO2. Its just so unscientific. Now heres the irony though! Yes I do believe man should pollute less. But he should so because its the right thing to do.
But lets test the conviction of those subscribing to 'climate change', as outlined by the UN. Polluting countries are granted immunity and may so continue polluting and as such 'smart appliances', are still manufactured in polluting economies, and still shipped on monstrous vessels on the high seas back to us, the consumers.
Another point. If climate change is so serious and of such importance that the very future of mankind is at stake, then why not protect and make public patents that release us from big oil? No, my logic dictates that its unscientific, without conviction, and promotes the status quo, at the expense of the 3rd world and at the behest that consumer nations fall for the claim that the toaster should be able to listen and talk to the washer and dryer!
      Really c'mon people!

That’s only in America, their are millions of Indians without water because of climate change, here in Australia for 10 years our farmers have had to abandon their farms because of the climate changing, in Africa and China dessertification has forced millions from their villages and is rapidly excelling. Their is more to the world then just America.

Many of the problems we’re facing are solvable if for no other reason than we created them; in which case, solve the problem(s) before they eliminate their cause (us).

When you get a loan for your house you must tell the bank you can only accept a 10-12 year loan because the world will end then and you will be unable to pay after that.

Why are we even discussing whether climate change and global warming is real? Shouldn’t be it be straightforward? Just proves how ignorant and dull some people are.

Actually it proves how dishonest the media and the left is on the subject. What they do is conflate climate change with anthropogenic inputs that may be altering the course of naturally occurring climate change. Of course climate change is real and it's been happening for billions of years. The extent to which man is altering natural occurring climate change and the extent to which man can change the course of naturally occurring climate change is the real question. It's the ignorant and gullible dolts that conflate these two very different issues.

@MrOTLChamp No one can force a bank to lend any money they don't wish to. The door was opened and they took advantage of it simply because of greed. They all knew it was high risk business, yielding extremely high interest rates, but they also knew the tax payers would ultimately cover the losses. Ask the bankers.

@checkyoursources Feel free to show me where the US government has ever come in at, or below budget?
Our governments estimate for cost of medcaid went over by 9x's the original budget.
Our postal system is over budget by 8 billion a year.
Our school systems are far more expensive than the private Charter schools, not to mention they're better.
There's not 1 entity that the government runs, that would be cheaper than the private sector.
There's far too much waste when the government is involved.

I agree that climate change is irrelevant and we do need to change our dependence on oil. We need to focus on real pollutants such as sulfur dioxide, carbon monoxide, and other toxic pollutants. Taxing carbon dioxide is ridiculous and most definitely not going to improve the environment. The rich will get richer and the rest of us will go broke. And in the process the wealthy get us to give up more of our freedom with the new laws. Read the suggested Copenhagen treaty. Can you say liberty gone!

@checkyoursources These people weren't losing their homes because they didn't have a job. They lost their home when the loan matured and they had to pay the full mortgage. They never made enough money to qualify for these loans in the first place. In fact, Bush went to Congress 17 times during his 8yrs to try and get Fannie and Freddy to fix this problem. Cont....

@725672567256 If the main countries are going to be taxed for Co2, it will crush their economies, which in turn will affect all the little countries that are supported by them to suffer too. Not to mention, it doesn't even make sense that taxing countries like the United States, and giving the money to smaller countries so they may get out of the third world and start needing more fossil fuels and electricity.(which is created from fossil fuels). It's about taxes, not climate change.
