Why did you list Singapore, Brunei Darussalam and Timor Leste before the time when they become a country? Some of them before 1963 I mean... That means Singapore still one of the Malaysia's territorial... and of course Timor Leste since 1975 is the one of Indonesian province...

Pre-independence countries may be part of another entity, for example Timor Leste was part of Indonesia, Singapore was part of Malaysia, South Sudan was part of Sudan, Eritrea was part of of Ethiopia,... Although newly independent, the population, economic, social, geographical,... data of these countries may have been recorded since before independence. . Therefore, it is possible to date back the data of a given country before its independence.
