Please Read* - Due to the situation in Turkey and Syria I think it's apprioprate that I donate all the Adsense Revenue from this video to those who need it. Absolutely devastating news. You guys have supported me and this channel over the years so even if I can help a little bit, I should. Thanks everyone.
You’re good chap. Thank you.
Captured the spirit well. I want to see you go back in a warmer month!
Another great video and amazing photos. Thanks Mike. Really enjoy your content 👌
Thank you Jules! 🙌🏻
Lovely video! I am not exactly a hero on an airplane, so it's nice to be able to travel to places further away from me in the world through videos such as this. Istanbul is really photogenic. So many wonderful little moments. Just had to smile at the guy playing with the cat in particular! I hope you get to go back soon and thank you for donating.
3:21 Maybe a simple question could help here: Would you like to be photographed while eating?
Great video. Loved the guy in the hat at 13.30secs . Brilliant.
Yeaaa I loved that one too, really nice light casting over the whole scene.
Really liked the photo of the Turkish version Dr Phil at the corn stall! @ 4:37 love your vids mate keep up the top work!
Thanks!!
Such a beautiful place of culture, and great captures! I'm leaning towards investing in the Q2. When you shoot in aperture priority, do you set a minimum shutter speed? If so, what do you find to be the most effective minimum shutter speed for the Q2's ability to focus and capture a clean shot? Thanks.
10:39 this yellow Building it’s my primary School (Lycée Français Pierre Loti ( Beyoğlu)) and the Left Side of the with door was my 1st grade classroom :D
No way haha - very cool location in my opinion.
Great POV session and video - get me excited to go out and also shoot with my Leica Q2 Monochrome :)
I’d LOVE to try the monochrome 😂
@@MikeChudley it’s a low light beast and I love the all black design 😊
If you lived in Germany I would lend it to you, but for now I can only offer my simple pov videos on my humble small channel (shameless plug 😀)
@@IntrovertAmateur hahaha great plug. I've check them out lol
Really great video mate❤️ love & respect from Afghanistan 🇦🇫
I love the filmy tones of your photos.
Especially the one of the cat in the store!
It really caught my eye because it's so filmic.
Do you have any videos explaining how to make tone or any technical stuff? If not, please make one!👍
Hi nice video I have a question about the Leica q2, I’ve tested the camera just for a couple of hours (sick life can’t afford one) and I was bothered by the black line at the bottom of the lcd! At first I was thinking that that portion wasn’t in the picture but after a while… I realized that you don’t see but it’s there!!! Looking at the bear’s picture it’s clear that you have considered the black rectangle at the bottom as part of your image. Thanks nice work I really appreciate your video and you work is brilliant.
Great video. What focus mode do you use for street photography? Single shot focus recompose?
You got it! thanks
Great video and photos! Is the grain we're seeing in the photos from the camera or editing? Either way, I love it.
Also, that photo with the teddy bear could be an album cover.
Grain from the editing! I loving that layer of texture in. - thanks!
@@bradleyvincent8309 really made me smile that scene haha
Hi Mike - great walkabout - shot of the day for me was the guy in the brown hat and overcoat. I have the Q2 and after much deliberation I'll be taking it to Porto with me next month in favour of my X-T5 and a confusion of lenses lol
Thank you Kev! I really liked that image too - enjoy Porto!
Seen this, I really wanna go out and start shooting street again with my x pro, but im not in Istanbul 😅.. wonderful place for street.
Nice photos 👍🏼
Really enjoyed this video, you’ve just gained a new follower, nice to hear you’re donating to the earthquake too 👌🏻
Just one question, would you use the x100v anymore or does the Q2 completely replace that camera in every way for you?
I have a Leica Q and love it and I’ve just ordered an x100v to see which one I prefer, I wondered what your thoughts were?
Thanks for the comment and the subscribe. Funny you should ask as I just answered this filming for my next video! It will be out on Sunday 🙌🏻 in short - I still use both.
@@MikeChudley look forward to hearing more on Sunday! 👍🏻
Nice of you to donate Mike👍 Another great video, after watching your uploads i always want to get out for a wander with the camera .
Well done!!
Thanks Colin!
Great video, but Leica, if you're listening, if the Q3 is 35mm, I'm for sure getting it, if not, no go!
well done :)
Nice video and images :- ) I have a Q2 and I bought the grip and additional “Finger Loop” which screws into it (and third party Thumb Rest) - it transforms the handling and allows me to carry it…and shoot….very easily and safely with one hand. You might want to try it ? - Cheers - Peter.
Yeaa I’ve been eyeing that up! I’ll most likely pick one up - any you recommend?
@@MikeChudley - the Finger Loop is a Leica product, which is essential to screw into the Leica Grip - expensive, but definitely worth it in my opinion
So beautiful 🥰❤️
Fantastic video and photos. Yes you did well asking to the policemen. It’s forbidden taking photos of police in Turkey and they have right to arrest you for taking their photos.
Well pleased I was careful then!😆
@@MikeChudley it would be great to meet with you and take photos together. Take care mate
Nice words, Mike :( So sad, truly devastating news. A comment, just my taste: I think I prefer the look/colors/contrast of your pics with the X100V. Not sure what others think. But otherwise, great photos! (Color/contrast… is secondary).
It is sad news. - Thanks for the comment, that’s fair enough! The x100v is loved for its colours that’s for sure.
Taking photos of law enforcement officers in Turkey can be risky. By asking for permission, you reduce the risk of getting into trouble with the law.
Yeah good job I asked!
Happy that you finally got yourself your dream camera, but unfortunately it's made your channel completely unrelatable to a vast majority of hobby photographers, and as such I haven't really enjoyed any of the recent content., I used to enjoy your casual approach to making photos and always felt you made a lot of good points about not chasing gear or ig/yt clout, as opposed to many content creatos who all seem to have the same cameras and point of view, but that's all changed now. So goodbye and thanks for all the fish.
No problem, glad you enjoyed my content. Wish you all best 👌🏻📸
You are wrong though, it's not like Leica offers better features over fuji, quite the opposite actually, it's just a luxury item imo, just paying for the looks if anything 😅
Such mediocre images from such an expensive camera. Red dot madness.
Ahhh thank you so much. Really made my day. Have a great week 👌🏻😂
@@MikeChudley Don’t get blinded by all the praise you get.
@@caskraker Actually genuinely good advice, I can’t disagree with that. But don’t be fooled, I do live in the real world.
