    I have a 2012 Nissan Sentra S with over 210,000 miles on it. Never had an issue with the original CVT. I changed the fluid every 60,000 miles as required in the owner’s manual. Nissan is capable to be reliable as Toyota and Honda. You haters should learn how to read a manual and drive a car properly and you won’t have any problems long term.

    • @bigd7386

      Yea, I’ve heard some of the issues are due to a lack of maintenance and not changing the fluid when recommended.

      "Hater"? Man, you really aren't very bright. You have the maturity level of a five year-old. Maybe you should learn how to do some actual research instead of acting like an immature child whenever anyone notes a transmission problem that Nissan themselves admitted to: trofire.com/2019/12/02/nissan-announces-major-settlement-after-transmission-problems-discovered/

    I just upgraded to this from my lil red 2014 Toyota Corolla. I ended up getting the SL trim with the premium package in it. I honestly love it. I wanted something to tackle my gravel driveway a little better and just something a bit bigger to change it up lol. I agree with you 100% about the drive quality and not having that sense of fatigue driving it and about the zero gravity seats. You really do feel comfortable driving it. What do you think is better about the 2021 model versus your 2017? I am debating between getting a second generation Rogue versus the 3rd generation 2021. It's so tough to decide between price/features/safety and cargo as well.

    • @c4chirag82
      @c4chirag82 Před 3 lety

      @@Briguy1027 Hey .. there are lots of things that has changed in 2021 Rogue mainly the drive quality. It has all new suspension, new steering which is more responsive, less weight gives more boost in speed pickup since it also has 11 bhp more, more aerodynamic body (real air vents in front) .. more fuel efficient, less height makes the car not to roll when turning (cud feel that a lot in 2017 model). Driving quality has improved so much that u don't feel like u r driving an old rogue .. its completely different. Cargo space is broader on top allowing u to load heightened luggage like having ur suitcases standing instead of lying down. Definitely more luxurious looking from inside. lots of fine and small details. Extra 3000 $ for 2021 model is worth it. M sure u might be getting lots of discounts and offers on older rogue .. even 2020 but I wud say u won't be disappointed if u go for 2021 if money is not a problem.

Def get your Audi or BMW and please enjoy it, people typically mock what they cannot have so don't pay attention to everything, there is great satisfaction to owning those cars as long as you own them right. Buy them either CPO or lease them new and you will love it. Problem is people aimlessly buy some $10,000 Audi with 150k miles then proceed to complain it is unreliable after buying a total P.O.S. Great honest review... but Nissan did not copy Hyundai... Nissan kicked off the trend of the split headlights with the Juke and Hyundai has been using that design element since on their SUVs. While I can see a similarity in the execution between the Rogue and Santa Fe, the Rogue still looks like a Rogue and an evolution of the last gen. BUT... The actual real O.G. Of split headlights is the Pontiac Aztek 😬. Overall it’s just a trend and I doubt any of these manufacturers truly... well in most cases... don’t set out to copy another company’s designs. Hyundai and Kia were guilty of that for a while but they have began to blaze their own trail. But highly doubt Nissan copied the Santa Fe.

      @@Cat-es9rq Personally, I don’t like it. We got the SV AWD after trading in our Murano and I traded in my Ram to save us money from owning two vehicles.
      It rides incredibly rough, it’s very unresponsive to throttle inputs, and if you live in a congested area and pull out into traffic and need it to get up to speed in a hurry then start praying because it’s almost as if it doesn’t want to accelerate. It’s loaded with so much safety “features” that they become more of an annoyance than a feeling of relief, especially when you have to navigate the sub menus to disable them every single time you start it.
      The only positives are the radio sounds great and it gets incredible gas mileage.
      I got so sick of driving it that I bought a 2014 Ford Fusion 6-speed manual for myself. Far better driving experience even with 99k miles.
      This is just my opinion of course. I enjoy driving so I’m very critical of vehicles. I highly recommend leasing the Rogue if you end up liking it, but if you’re going to commit to it I also highly recommended getting extra coverage on that garbage CVT they insist on using. They have a pretty high premature failure rate. Plenty of lawsuits filed against Nissan over it.

    You called it a "Jetco?" CVT? No sir. It is called the Xtronic CVT. It is a Nissan first, and this year model uses not only traditional CVT components, but in order to combat the "rubber band effect" of traitional CVTs, this new Xtronic CVT includes a set of Auxiliary traditional gears built into the new design. This new Xtronic CVT provides more torque and increased acceleration off the line to reduce the Rubber Band effect of traditional CVTs.

    I have leased the Rogue for the past 12 years. That would be 4 (currently a 2018). My only complaint is the AWD system. It kinda sucks. I live in the western NY area and get a lot of snow. Then ad to it that in the redesign they took away the standard divide and hide cargo system as well as the heated seats option for the SV level, as my lease is coming due in September, I find myself looking at other SUVs this winter.
