Maybe they are selling well there, but my local in LA has 22 on the lot with 'now available' signs. A couple of weeks ago it was 20 and looking at them it looks like they are the same. So very slow selling. I want one bad, but this is not a good sign - especially for a car market like LA where rich people love to drive the new thing.

232k miles and the car is doing rather well. I have changed out the entire front suspension. Positives: -Response is still great (i changed the motor mounts so it can put the power down) -shifting still feels good, both in auto and tip-tronic modes -recently got an adapter that hooks up to the radio behind the dash so it doesn't feel too old -fuel efficiency is nice Cons: -Transmission has this whine when idling in park or neutral, but when in Drive it goes away. It also sounds a bit whiny at low speeds and that is it. -Brakes warp if you buy cheap parts, but they also heat up anyway since the car is not that light -the ball joints on this thing , at least the front could have been bigger, I feel like for all the movement and weight of the car -tweeter FINALLY blew out, so I am getting new ones (not the worst thing) -Interior plastics creaking, now being that I have the 2004 oldest model, I understand that this would eventually happen. None of the plastics are broken thankfully, but nowadays you definitely hear it over some rough roads. I love this car though, and at this point there is nobody that will buy it. To find something worthy of replacing it, that can carry 4 people, and does not have a cvt is the next challenge now. Until then, my TSX is still an all-around great car/

The door shut quality is nothing more than insulation, which adds to vehicle weight. Honda built their vehicles around how the door shutting sound in the 80's. It was a neat trick that created a lot of sales for them, Honda put some psychology behind the door sound.

CX 30 or 50, ride height to width is a better balance, center of gravity.

At 10:29 when you say “ this is better than the generic B 58 “ : If you are referring to the BMW B 58 in the M340i you are very mistaken. The BMW B 58 inline six is a much smoother, more powerful engine that is far superior to Acura’s 3.0 V6. And the ZF 8 speed auto in the M340i is a better transmission. I am a current BMW owner and a past Acura owner and have driven both. Your comparison of the two is very wrong.

Given that the bed is of composite material, is it sturdy enough to drill and install a rail system like that of the Nissan Frontier's multi-link system or Ford Maverick's DIY rail system?

Traded my 2019 Forester for a 2016 Fsport RX350 last August. 50k miles, 1 owner, all maintenance done at Lexus(Lexus website), pristine condition. I changed the plugs, did a transmission fluid drain and fill, wheel alignment, and did a partial coolant change. Didn’t need it, I’m just aiming for 300k+ miles

I think it’s possible the Lexus you’re in may have had its driver side door unlocked with an air bladder. My GS went from silent to loud after that event for me, and my 13 LS460L is tomb quiet at 120k miles.

Did you use the included washers for the bolts in the rear?

We bought the 1995 new and still have it with 332,000 miles. 4 family members have used and abused it. We are saving it for Granddaughter. It looks ruff and the main seal is leaking. Was quoted $2,000 to fix. The motor is still strong and tranny is good. I have always enjoyed driving it. It was very fast when new, but I drive it carefully now. I drive a 2015 Nissan Rogue with 179,000 miles. Has been good. Although I expect the CVT to cause trouble at any time. The dealer offered $4600 on trade. Nissans are still a good buy.

Needs the hybrid system.now Traditional auto not cvt. Better than mazda grade luxury materials inside. Rear vents. Manual on nase midels 19 percent rate.

I used to have an 07 ES 350. Loved the car, evenwith all its problems. This was during the time when Toyota and Lexus had a lot of issues. 2007 was the worst year for the ES. I had all of the known issues... Head gasket leak, evaporator core, melting dashboard, metal clunking in seats, bad rain sensor for wipers. Some of these issues were in the RX during that time frame as well.

And it is a fantastic car from a drivers perspective. It's decently fast, makes all the right noises, drives confortable in the street and will make some people really confused at the racetrack. If you are thinking about one, buy it

Ended up buying a clean history 2017 IS300 awd F Sport with 58,000 miles for $21900 in late February 2024. I just turned 64,000 miles on it, love driving the car, perfect so far. I quickly performed the 60,000 mile service and Installed the F Sport air intake system and got e tuned.
