It dident bother me to watch video ...they where sharing their find... I appreciate that ...its good 2 see there still out there waiting to be found...its not a action video...its about finding a old valuable car even if it was not worth a lot its still a classic...and besides the video is short ...just a little over 6mins..i liked watching it...
That car is worth alot more than 98% Of the people in these comments think That definitely is a hemi💯💯 Thats no 340 under the hood... Those who really know.. Know
yes this is a original BO29 4 speed car, we just did not want the vin posted, with only 18 made I don't think there are to many still to be found. this is the only Canadian 4 speed car. we are restoring the car and will try and keep anyone interested updated. Thanks for looking. Mike
Michael FerriT This car was ordered from the factory for drag racing. The original owner was Frank Elliott. He operated drag supply from Mississauga This car raced at Cayuga and holds track records at that track.
Odd how so many 67-69 barracuda's have been turned into race cars instead of the streets. Nice find, my 69 CUDA was being transformed into a race car as well when i saved it. Restoration is going fine but as a chevy guy i found out real fast what parts for this model cost. Nice to see another one coming out of hiding and going to be used and seen by others again.
Amazing, and exciting. My 67 camaro will be a garage find for someone in the future because im not selling it. So looking at it from my eyes there should be a new phenomenon! The restorered classic barn find in the future as we all pass on or get dimensia
I remember this car from a shop I used to go to in the '80s called Drag Supply in Mississauga. Frank Elliot held a Super Stock record for years with this car
This is Frank Elliotts 68 B/MP car. It was featured on CBC television, I think the show was "Take 30". I should know. I worked for him for 5+ years then bought his business. This was the coolest car at the track..and I saw him run many a 10.00 pass on several occasions. I travelled to Sanair one year with him. I was there when the car left Burgoyne Street in the early 80's. I actually have a piece of the original block. I later crashed my 65 WO51 Dodge in 1990 at.."The Park".. I hope the next owner does this car justice...I will be watching...Teddy.
Notice the side view mirror block off plate @ 6:23. Only SS hemi cars had these. Also notice the manual brakes and steering, the hood pins, heater delete, wiper delete and the mechanical tac drive set up. All SS equipment. Nice find, good luck.
What a cool car, I had one of those thirty years ago, should have kept it but it needed too much for my budget at the time. Can't believe the tires still hold air. Holy crap, it was a drag car... with a Hemi.
The Frank Elliott car. B/MP As far as I know it's an un cut original car that had a 3 point roll bar in it. One of the few that never got cut. He had a shop called Drag Supply.
Curious to see if there were any mods to the car for A or B/MP. Friend converted his to a clutch flite. His was also an original Dart. There was a car craft magazine article about him picking it up at Chrysler in Detroit. His name was Charlie Castaldo.
Hey Mike, Chrysler made 55 BO29 Plymouth Barracudas in 68. I don't know where you came up with 18. It seems like you found this in Canada, so maybe 18 of the 55 cars made went to Canada, and 1 of 18 was a 4-speed. Please note this isn't meant to criticize, only correct.Over the course of restoring this great find, I'm sure you'll learn much more about it than I know. Good luck in your efforts in bringing back this awesome piece of Mopar history. Evan
Thanks for the info evan, this is only what I have been able to come up with so far, there was a total of 72 cars built, of that number 18 where 4 speed cars, only 1 auto and 1 stick car made it's way into Canada. there is a web site called class racer and it has a list of the cars, look at a post that's titled nostalgia stock and super stock 68 barracuda. if you come across any info feel free to post it. Thanks Mike
That one was here in Guelph Ont. It was being run by the local Canadian Tire franchise, it was called the Nautilus. It then ended up in ownership of a fellow by the name Craig Right , who ended up in jail and the family farm went up for auction along with cars on the property and this is where i lost track of the Nautilus.
Michael Ferri awesome find guys! I would like to see some updated pictures and any info on what you have done so far the Cuda. Great find. Thanks, Johnny
Trapped in a garage for years this kid finds ................... Two Bald Guys! oh... And one sweet looking Barracuda! used to own a 64 1/2 miss that thing more then my big toe. :O)
Man what a find! You can tell there was a lot of love and passion in this car but its owner probably died or became incapacitated and his car was shoved into his dumbass moms garage and her not knowing the real value probably let it go for nothing by the vultures that showed up one day. There are two things that grab my attention when I watch this vid. One is "where did you get your little midget?" I have a friend that wants to buy a midget so bad he cant stand it and they are so hard to find these days. The Second thing is WHAT IS UP with the down-spout on that house? That fucker was at least 4 feet short from the ground! WTF?
im still alive have a small shop still , miss my cuda , but sometimes you have to make a move that you dont want to do as no place to put the car . had great times .happy to remembar the old days , have lots of nastolga books to keep me happy , Frank Elliott x owner
Hi Steve, yes this is Frank's old car, we purchased the car off a friend of mine who bought it from Frank, our plan is to restore it, and by the way Han Solo it has been there 32 years because I helped put it there when my friend moved there.
I had a fraternity brother in college who had one of those a few years newer. His dad bought it for him new when he went away to college. He neglected it and never serviced it and drove the heck out of it and the engine blew up. He was too afraid to tell his dad so he just left it parked at a house where he lived. When he graduated he told his dad that he'd been walking and hitching rides for four years because he blew the engine. His father laughed and asked him why he didn't take it in because it was under warranty? Today, that guy is a CPA in charge of billions of dollars.
Mothball that engine, put in a crate Hemi and take that mamma-jamma out for a run! BTW thanks for closing the decklid.I was waiting how long that was going to take, lol!
Hello if you could provide or post those pictures it would be great.. This a Frank Elliott car and he also had a shop called Drag Supply in Mississauga. The car was upgraded by Frank as it was a super stock car from Hurst Industries to run B/ MP, mostly at Dragway Park in Cayuga.
No not a hemi. It would be a super stock race car if it was a hemi. It's modified production class. A hemi head would hang over about 2 inches all the way around. Still a nice find.
@@dirkwinchester1576 The engine in the car IS Hemi......I wrote a detailed explanation WHY it is a HEMI ....look for it.....I added it today 12/19/2019.
I love the guy pushing like hes doing something haha.. Hope they plan on replacing the whole engine bc the heads weren't covered and no hood but then again with such a rare car you may wanna just restore the shit out of it Neverless great find and awesome car
from what i seem to remember about Chrysler motors is ; The square pad just left of center in the front of the intake manifold means its a 440 cubic inch . As where the other Chrysler big blocks do not have the BIG SQUARE casting for the numbers . They have a cut-off / smaller ledge in the front . Could i be correct about this ?
guessed wrong that is a true 1968 hemi cuda . raced the car for 8 years won lots of awards , track wins and placks and three championships plus numerous other awards . Frank Elliott x owner for 8 years
I'm a little confused. No one was in that garage for 32 years, but there's a satellite dish on the house, not enough info in the video, what's the story behind this?
This car is the real deal. The car was bought from Hurst Industries and was for drag racing only. The car came with no warranty. The car was ordered by Frank Elliott and he raced this car at Cayuga San Air and Georgetown and some drag strips in US.
Those are some SERIOUS looking pistons in there. Why in the world would that gutter downspout angle out way up in the air like that so it's such an easy target??
I believe find may have been the incorrect wording. The owner/friends knew it was there for 32 years. This is just the first time it’s been pulled out of the garage.
I just sold two '68 barracuda's , on my channel ... parts are hard to find, mopar Guys stock pile cars & parts & you rarely see their collections. '68 hemi Barracuda's & '70 'cuda's are my favorite ... not a fan of the '71 'cuda, I didn't jump on that wagon like everyone else. ... clone or not it's a worthy car to hold on to & charish ...
What a find lucky you ! I can't wait to see it on a Barret Jackson auction !
That is awesome, I hope and wish one day to find a gem like that, awesome find
I wish you luck brother

My boss had a bo29....had all the right pieces, like seat belt straps instead of window cranks, saving weight.....this was the hayday i guess..
That's one clean engine, makes me wonder just how long it sat open like that. I'm guessing a few days......…….

Wow and a Great Find. Thumbs Up !
I remember this car from a shop I used to go to in the '80s called Drag Supply in Mississauga. Frank Elliot held a Super Stock record for years with this car
that was the good old days. had lots of fun . car ran great Frank Elliott
I've never seen a gutter down spout like that one.
That was custom built, to keep the mower clean
***** Im gonna say they used it to collect rain water in a 50 gallon drum like a lot of the old homes did..
***** well duh i doubt that house had indoor plumbing..
to collect rain water, much better to water plants, than tap water
I had a barrel under mine. Great for washing clothes and watering garden.
32 years... you'd think a neighbour might have let those old guys out a few years earlier.
This is Frank Elliotts 68 B/MP car. It was featured on CBC television, I think the show was "Take 30". I should know. I worked for him for 5+ years then bought his business. Yep...we raced Frank many a time with our Karmann Ghia.
I knew it was a Cuda, when I saw the tail lights!
That's the real deal , can tell by the massive dome on those paint bucket pistons ,, that's gold in them thar cyliders
I was surprised to see a BB Chrysler in it let alone see the top edge of the decks making this a hemi. Great find even if not original motor.
32 years with no dust on it.damn
Nice find! There are lots of neat cars hiding out there
Notice the side view mirror block off plate @ 6:23. Only SS hemi cars had these. Also notice the manual brakes and steering, the hood pins, heater delete, wiper delete and the mechanical tac drive set up. All SS equipment.
Nice find, good luck.
No way that car has been sitting there for 32 years. Absolutely no way. But still an incredibly super awesome find.
Han Solo u are 100% correct, there would have at least, being rust on top of the cylinder block
silverbird58
''it still has air in three tires and will run fine..''
Nice. But enough about your wife... how's the car doing?
+silverbird58 horse shit my son
What a cool car, I had one of those thirty years ago, should have kept it but it needed too much for my budget at the time. Can't believe the tires still hold air. Holy crap, it was a drag car... with a Hemi.
yeah what is the backstory on that car
where's all the Dust
I too knew it was a coup. When I saw those tail lights
Every Car Guys dream... Luv your channel and had to subscribe.
That's awesome.
The Frank Elliott car. B/MP As far as I know it's an un cut original car that had a 3 point roll bar in it. One of the few that never got cut. He had a shop called Drag Supply.
Oh snap one of my dream cars
good lord .. the domes on those pistons ...
They're 12.5 to one Hemi pistons; gotta be big to fill that big hemispherical combustion chamber.
Curious to see if there were any mods to the car for A or B/MP. Friend converted his to a clutch flite. His was also an original Dart. There was a car craft magazine article about him picking it up at Chrysler in Detroit. His name was Charlie Castaldo.
I hope there was an extra box or two of engine parts. You're going to need them.
Tires holding air after 32 years. Impressive!
The most bizarre thing about this video is the down spout and the satellite dish placement on the house.
Most likely had a barrel under spout.
Dish? Wheelchair accessible for adjustment is my guess?
Canucks will always be behind, aye?
You are a lucky bug, good job!
In another 30 or 40 years garage finds will consist of fart can 92 civics with sticker bombed bumpers and rusted hoods. OH JOY!!!
Dam right
yep he sad sad truth. these are the real barn and garage finds. also the very last. enjoying it I know I am...
The A tea series
so much room for activities!!
This was put in the garage when "For Those About To Rock...We Salute You!" by AC/DC was on the charts.
ufff......que pistones
we've struck gold!!!!!FKN AUSOME 😂
It took 32 years just to watch that video!
I know, it's 32 years I'm never getting back. I have to go shave now. As my beard has grown past ass.
Lol
Andi Stephen ha!!

I had one mine had a 383 HO engine , u could lay a $5.00 on the dash and it was safe.!

I had a 1969 Plymouth Barracuda Notchback with a slant 6 engine & sold it.
Now looking for a AMC Javelin SST.
WOW!!!

Michael Ferri awesome find guys! I would like to see some updated pictures and any info on what you have done so far the Cuda. Great find. Thanks, Johnny

Phew! I bet all those guys in the garage were glad to be found!?
Cool....a '68 super stock car! 1 of 55 made!(They also made them in the Dart body, about 55 of them were made also.

I'm sorry I must agree with Allenmurphy2u. Even covered 32 years. No dust or rust on bare metal
That was a cool find. Btw, video editors are a good thing.
Love the covert placement of the satellite dish. They didn't want to mar the houses appearance by giving it a hillbilly look.
Nice!

I'm calling horse shit on your explanation heated garage but the out side of the house and the inside of the garage door say horse shit
hope you guys are working on the car these days . would like to see it when its done Frank Elliott
I wish I had that hemi block.

It's a Hemi car...Frank Elliott...I have pics of that car at the Toronto International Dragway....ran a 11.72 @ 131 mph in 1972.

time can have varies meaning to others ....
From about :30 - :40, I don't even want to know what that big dude was doing!

Hemicuda. (he-mik-yu-da) Only 3 guys could make these run and 2 of them were on the same team.lol
that car won three champion ships . went to the track every week . Frank Elliott x owner
Not a Hemi can't you see that
I really like that year and model. I didnt care for the Cuda though.
one word:editing
looks like it ran in modified production by the window letters.
Here's a tip: don't stand next to a taut rope (or chain) which can break and wrap itself around your legs, or worse.
Nice find....but you leave us hanging. What's the story behind this car? How, when, why, where, etc???

serious question : how people don't open their garages or barns for such a long time ?? kinda hard to believe
I believe find may have been the incorrect wording. The owner/friends knew it was there for 32 years. This is just the first time it’s been pulled out of the garage.
I'm sure the headers scraped a little when they pushed the car in there the day before....
wonder was his track speed were with the whitewall snow tires.....lots of bite there
