Let's be real here. Japan, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, etc...all played their best players from their countries. Meanwhile, USA, didn't!!!. USA had the worst pitching roster because many of the owners refused to allow the best pitchers in the world from America to compete in this tournament. Imagine if the USA team had Max Scherzer, Jason Verlander, Gerrit Cole, Clayton Kershaw, Max Fried, Walker Buehler, Jacob DeGrom, Trevor Bauer, Zach Wheeler, Corbin Burnes, Aaron Nola, etc...14 out of the Top 25 MLB pitchers were Americans and not a single one played in this event. The other 11 of the Top 25 were from other countries and everyone of them played for their countries. In addition, all of the USA top Closers, which USA has the top 6 out of 7 closers in MLB, not a single one played in the World Baseball Classic. Also, where was Aaron Judge, Bryce Harper, Freddy Freeman, Austin Riley, etc???
That's just to put things into perspective!!!

@@FreedomFighter2112 USA should not be playing as a nation, but the States as countries individually, like Texas, New York etc as WBC teams. Similar to Puerto Rico, which is a U.S territory with all of Puerto Ricans being USA citizens including all of their baseball players, but have their own WBC as a country.
